In the first series relative to this subject I shared with readers of this website a revelation that God had been giving me over the previous months. What He was telling me about the near future was so disturbing that I wondered if my imagination was out of kelter. Over time and through much prayer I came to realize that the spiritual voice I was hearing was indeed the Lord Who was telling me what was going to soon take place on the earth. I explain the revelation in detail in the first series that can be visited using the key word–Global. If you have not read that series I highly recommend that you do so.

Before going on I want to make certain that you understand that the church civil war that will take soon take place and the Tribulation Period are two different happenings. This series involves the first war, one that will take place between those minutely few keepers of God’s Sabbath and those who have embraced Satan’s Sunday Sabbath. The first war will last for only a short time before God will take His church to a place of safety, after which the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord will begin and last for 3 1/2 years. At the end of that period Jesus Christ will return. Before discussing the church’s civil war, we will refresh our memories concerning the Great Tribulation/Day of the Lord Period which can be visited using the key word–Tribulation

In the first series I mentioned two of the people that will be in leadership positions during the Tribulation period. In this segment we will take a closer look at those two characters. Biblically, they are referred to as “Beasts.” Specifically, the word “Beast” in the Book of Revelation refers to both the institutions and their singular leaders. Those two Satan-inspired, Satan-empowered, Satan-directed beings are Biblically known as the First and Second Beast respectively. The First Beast is a world-ruling government that is depicted in Revelation 17:1-5 as an animal upon which is seated the Second Beast–a woman who represents a church. Again, the two “Beasts” represent the leaders of a powerful government and a powerful religious organization that greatly influences the government she is “riding.”. As I noted in the first series, the government will be the seventh resurrection of the Roman Empire while the church will be the Catholic religious institution. Their coming together into one, world-ruling entity is taking shape at this time. Again–the governmental beast will be the final resurrection of the Roman Empire and the religious leader of that government will be the reigning Pope of the Catholic Church. The eventual leader of the governmental beast is not yet known publicly.

At this point we will continue to examine what will happen during the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord. The animal (government) upon which the woman (church) sits (influences) will be led by a man described in Daniel 11:36-45. As the head of the world’s most powerful, most deadly military he will wreak havoc throughout the world. The woman is identified in Revelation 17 as Mystery, Babylon which will consist of the great whore (Catholicism) along with her harlot daughters (Protestantism). For many years, the Catholic Church has been attempting to lure her wayward “daughters” (the Protestant Churches) back to their Catholic “mother” from which she left during the Protestant Revolution. The mother church’s efforts have brought about a modicum of success. The Second Beast, which I believe will be the current leader of Mystery, Babylon–Pope Leo XIV), is also known Biblically as the False Prophet (Rev. 16:13;19:20; 20:10). Leo has begun to reach out to those beyond the Christian world that make up the world’s other religions. He is extending his hand and asking them to help him form a united religious organization that can hold sway over the entire world. The problem Catholic Popes have had over the years as they have tried to lure their Protestant daughters back into the fold is that they have not had a “hook”–something that Catholics and Protestants could agree on that would make the daughters less resistant to their call to “come home.” Pope Leo has found the “hook”–the Sunday Sabbath. Of late he has been pushing for an international government-religion agreement to observe Sunday as a globally agreed-upon time for the world to stop and rest for 24 hours. Leo has come up with yet another popular “hook,” this one designed to draw in those who have no religious affiliation.

In order to touch the hearts of the non-religious world, the pope has conjoined his Sunday Sabbath observance to the GLOBAL WARMING situation about which billions of people throughout the world are concerned. Leo’s theme revolves around the idea that giving the entire planet a 24-hour rest period each Sunday will help to lower its temperature and hopefully solve the global warming problem. The International Sunday Sabbath Law Leo is seeking would prohibit all commercial, industrial and personal work activity on the “Day of the Sun.” What people do not realize is that Satan has carefully hidden within in the movement the goal of leading the world’s people to worship the sun without realizing it. We must understand that billions of people have worshipped the sun throughout the history of mankind. I suspect that more sun worshippers than Christ worshippers. Pope Leo is hoping that the combined “hooks” will lure a majority of the world’s masses to join together to form a force that can make the whole of mankind act in concert with him as its conductor.

So what is the problem with earth-saving and Sunday Sabbath keeping, you may ask. The problem is SIN—THE BREAKING OF GOD’S LAW (1 JN. 3:4)–SPECIFICALLY COMMANDMENT #4 WHICH REQUIRES MAN TO REFRAIN FROM WORKING ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK. THE GLOBAL “SUNDAY REST DAY” BEING PUT FORTH MEANS THAT THE ENTIRE WORLD WOULD SIN IN UNISON AND IN IGNORANCE BY WORKING ON GOD’S SABBATH. AND OBSERVING SATAN’S SABBATH. LET US NOT FORGET THA THE WAGES OF SIN IS SPIRITUAL DEATH NOW AND PHYSICAL DEATH LATER. REMEMBER THIS: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF SATAN.

One may ask if there is a historical or Biblical warning about the direction Pope Leo is attempting to lead the world. The answer is yes. We have been warned both historically and futuristically about this exact situation. Anciently, the Roman Empire (the Beast in the past), under the direction of the Catholic Church (the whore church in the past), martyred some 50,000,000 people for refusing to observe the Sunday Sabbath. This horror came to be known as The Catholic Inquisition. At that time no one within the Empire could work BUY OR SELL on Sunday. In Revelation 13:17 we are told that there will come a time in the future when no one will be allowed to work, BUY OR SELL during a specific period. It is the same government and the same church in both instances.

If Pope Leo XIV has his way he will lead an international consortium of nations into observing a “save the planet” celebration each Sunday. Not only will the nations be united in this effort, they will enforce its observance using international law. Not only will the world’s masses be forced to unknowingly worship the sun, all will be required to openly acknowledge their idolatry through the use of what is called “the mark of the Beast.” That mark will involve Sunday Sabbath observance. Those who refuse to observe it will be breaking international law and will therefore answer to an international legal system. This system will raise its ugly head shortly before the beginning of the Great Tribulation. As stated: THE FUTURE BEAST THAT WILL MAKE IT ALL COME TOGETHER WILL BE THE SEVENTH RESURRECTION OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE THAT WILL CAUSE UNHEARD-OF DISASTER TO ENVELOP THE WORLD. THE WOMAN DIRECTING THAT BEAST WILL BE THE SAME WOMAN THAT DID SO IN THE EMPIRE’S PREVIOUS RESURRECTIONS–THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.

The European Union, centered in and organized around Germany, will soon evolve into the final edition of the ancient Roman Empire–the ancient Beast. The modern version will one day burst onto the world scene and, in short order, come to rule the entire world. It is that beast government that will defeat the United States, kill one-third of her citizens and send one-third of her people throughout the world as slaves. One third of Americans will die during the coming world famine and World War III. All of this will take place during the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord–the final 3 1/2 years of this age. But first there will be the religious civil war that will lead mankind into the Great Tribulation. This short war will revolve around the Sunday Sabbath. That war is the subject of this and the previously written series. Be sure to read that series using the key word–Civil.

Relative to the coming Sabbath war, where does that leave those of us who will not worship Satan by honoring his Sunday observance? This is where God’s message to me comes into play. Read the first series for more information on the spiritual war that will soon come on the scene. During the period leading up the war Christ’s John 14:12 promise will begin to come to fruition. God’s tiny church–numbering only a few thousand–will do things this world has never before seen. Just before the Great Tribulation begins the Lord will end that civil war and take His Very Elect saints to a place of safety where He will protect them throughout the coming 3 1/2 year Tribulation period. During the first 2 1/2 years of that period the Lord’s TWO WITNESSESS will carry on the Lord’s work (Rev. 11:3). Read about the church’s place of safety using Safety as the key word. Concerning the Holy Bible generally and the Sabbath specifically, I recently heard a young woman voice a new church “truth.” She noted that being able to change the Sabbath day was part of the GRACE that God extended toward believers. I had never heard that “truth” before. Obviously, she had been taught that bit of heresy in her church. And Satan smiled. L.J.
