Printed on the national currency of the United States of America are the words: “ONE NATION UNDER GOD” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” This double irony highlights two glaring lies that were once obvious truths. This series is designed to highlight the root causes and the disastrous results of those two national reversals which have brought the once God-blessed, globally-admired nation to the depths of international hatred and rejection. Several years ago a polling firm conducted an international survey to determine who were the most admired nation on earth and who was the least liked. The United States of America and Israel were the two least liked nations on the planet. They were then labeled the “Big Satan” and the “Little Satan” respectively.

We will now look back in history in order to determine the REASON for the global hatred toward the nation that has done so much for so many in terms of human and monetary sacrifice. Concerning the world’s hatred toward Israel, read Why Does the World Hate the Jews? key word–Jews.

In order to get a historical grasp on the “HATE AMERICA” movement taking place globally as well as within her own borders we need to take a quick look at Deuteronomy 28. As has been established by this website, America was founded by the descendants of Jacob’s (Israel’s) grandson Manasseh, the son of Joseph. Concerning America, God promised Abraham that one of his descendants would create the greatest nation on earth. America is that nation. Because of His promise to Abraham, God greatly blessed America following her creation. So what happened? Why is God pouring out His wrath on His one-time light to the world? Deuteronomy 28 tells us. Let us turn there now.

Notice that in the first 13 versus God tells HIS PEOPLE THEN AND NOW that HE WANTS TO BLESS THEM, and how He will bless them IF THEY OBEY HIM. Beginning in verse 14 He tells those same people how He will CURSE them IF THEY DO NOT OBEY HIM. A quick perusal of the chapter reveals that God promises to exalt His people “high above all nations on the earth,” which He did for both America and Britain which was founded by the descendants of Manasseh’s brother Ephraim who, due to God’s promise to Abraham, became the greatest commonwealth of nations on earth. Before her spiritual collapse, Britain was known world-wide as “GREAT BRITAIN.” She is no longer called by that name. God promised to make His people “the head and not the tail.” He would place them “above and not beneath all other people on earth.” True to His Word, the Lord elevated America and Britain to global prominence. So much so that at one time America and Britain controlled approximately 78% of the world’s production and resources. The Lord goes into detail relative to the ways He will bless His people.–IF THEY OBEY HIM.

But, as in all things spiritual, the negative aspect of God’s law of sowing and reaping will also come into play if His people refuse to obey Him. He warned that, should they disobey Him (commit apostasy–fall away from Him) He will curse them in the city and on the land. He will curse their children, He will curse His people when they rise up and when they lay down, when they come in and when they go out. He will curse everything they put their hands to do. He will send all kinds of physical and mental diseases upon them. He will curse their weather, their possessions and their labors. Their nations will be invaded and they will be forced to watch their invaders consume what they have worked for. He will cause them to be defeated, enslaved and scattered throughout the world as slaves. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID TO ANCIENT ISRAEL. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HE IS BEGINNING TO DO TO AMERICA NOW. This is what Jesus was referring to in Matthew 24:3-8. Why is the Lord cursing America? Because she is following Satan’s false prophets referred to in verses 4,5.

When many of America’s cities and states elect communist mayors; when those cities and states become sanctuaries for criminals from all over the world; when the people of those cities and states would rather have criminals on their streets than federal policemen; when invaders get away with murder, theft, rape, etc. simply because they are foreigners—KNOW THAT GOD IS TELLING US THAT WE HAD BETTER GET OUR SPIRITUAL ACT TOGETHER OR ELSE WE WILL GO THE WAY OF ANCIENT ISRAEL. Know and understand that IT IS GOD HIMSELF WHO IS SENDING THE CURSES ON AMERICA. Read The “Voices” of God, key word–Voices. Read Deuteronomy 28:14-68 to know what is coming if we do not turn back to God. THE HOLY SCRIPTURES TELL US THAT AMERICA WILL NOT TURN BACK TO HIM. It is for this reason that a church civil war is rapidly approaching, followed by the Great Tribulation and the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord. One of the primary reasons GOD IS SENDING THE ABOVE-MENTIONED CURSES ON AMERICA is because she has taken God out of her schools, thereby allowing Satan to control the spiritual atmosphere of the nation’s educational institutions from kindergarten to the universities. Their graduates eventually run the country. Predictably, they run it as Satan’s has taught them throughout their educational lives. Leading the nation’s rush toward his spiritual sewer is America’s Catholic/Protestant Religious System, commonly known as “the church.” The following is an article I wrote for our (Athens, Texas) local newspaper several years ago. It will highlight the end result of our governmental rejection of God. As I have stated many times: AS GOES THE CHURCH, SO GOES THE NATION. Both are at the “beginning of sorrows” stage at this time (Mat. 24:3-8). The newspaper article is printed below. While reading it bear in mind that America’s public schools were created to teach children about the God, the Bible and how to obey what is written therein. American universities were created to train men how to teach students about God and His ways. What happened? The answer takes us back to the Garden of Eden where mankind chose the ways of Satan and rejected the ways of God. Now to the newspaper article.

“SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE” Those words, though spoken repeatedly of late, are not found in the United States Constitution. Nevertheless:

In 1947 the Supreme Court declared that religion has no place in the public domain, particularly in the public schools. In 1962 the court declared that even voluntary prayer to God was unconstitutional in public schools. To reach this conclusion, the court conducted a nation-wide poll to determine if there was a sufficient number of atheists to warrant such a ruling. The court found that 3% of the U.S. population identified as atheist. Ignoring the other 97%, the court found sufficient cause to declare prayer of any kind in public schools unconstitutional.

In 1963 the Supreme Court found Bible reading in public schools to be unconstitutional.

In 1967 a U.S. Federal Court ruled the not only was the word “God” not to appear on any printed surface in a public school, but that no statement could appear in writing which a student might BELIEVE referred to God.

In 1980 the court declared that the Ten Commandments could not appear anywhere on public school grounds. The explanation: “If the posted copies of the Ten Commandments are to have any effect at all, it will be to induce school children to read, meditate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey the Commandments. This is not a permissible state objective.” During that time-frame the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th circuit declared unconstitutional the utterance of the words “under God” in the pledge of allegiance. At the same time that same court declared constitutional a mandate issued by a school district that REQUIRED all students to submit to a three-week indoctrination into the Islamic faith. During those three weeks the students were forced to pretend to be Muslims, wear Muslim garb, pray to Allah, read the Koran, take Muslim names and to participate in Muslim Jihad (war) games.

Since the 1960’s varius U.S. Courts have upheld the view that such belief systems as atheism, Wiccan, Secular Humanism, Ethical Culture, Scientology, Universalist Unitarianism, Witchcraft and the various Eastern beliefs are in fact religions and are therefore afforded all rights, privileges and freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. All are allowed to operate in full view on public school grounds, display their symbols, read their books, pray to their gods or declare that there is no god. Only one religion is not afforded such freedoms and is in fact prohibited from exercising said freedoms under threat of law. That religion is Christianity.

While reflecting on the past and looking to the future, I find myself concurring with Thomas Jefferson and George Mason respectively: “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever.” “As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world, they must be in this world by an inevitable chain of causes and effects, Providence punishes national sins by national calamities.” We are watching the beliefs of these two men come to fruition as America turns away from her Creator and to the dark forces of His enemy.

Sadly, America is about to feel the EFFECTS of the CAUSES her people have been guilty of committing for several generations. America–super-religious, “church on every corner” America–has indeed lost her trust in the God Who established her and for many years exalted her. She now clings to other gods. Like Adam and Eve, she has answered the devil’s call to defect from her Creator and to look to other gods for guidance. The results of her apostasy can be seen on the news every evening.

The church has led the way in the nation’s gradual spiritual decay, the speed of which is increasing daily. Knowing what is coming and watching it take place around me, I silently weep for my beloved country. As a student of Biblical prophecy, I see what is taking shape as America’s spiritual disease brings my once great, God-loving lady down. If only the church would seek God, embrace His Law and obey it. She could lift up America and bring her back to her former glory. Sadly, both the church and the nation are charging headlong into Satan’s spiritual and social sewer. The so-called “revivals” taking place across the nation will have no effect for it is a revival to return to religious business as usual, only more of it. Why does the church refuse to believe and obey God’s Holy Word? Because modern churchites, like Adam and Eve, have chosen other gods who can better determine good and evil–THEMSELVES. In so doing, Christianity has told the Lord that He just needs to “sit down and shut up.” America, following the lead of the church, has placed herself over God and, in so doing, has come to trust in her own abilities and powers. Warning: Hell hath no fury like the Lord rejected. This nation is about to learn that harsh lesson. L.J.
