In the series concerning the “voices” of God the focus was the Lord’s method of dealing with sinners who claim to be His people, specifically the various forms His “voices” take. Read that series using the key word–Voices. In this series we will return to that subject, focusing on specific actions that the Lord is taking in the world TODAY that serve as warnings to church people to turn to Him and His Word–all of it, not just the “headlines” they hear on Sunday morning. The Lord’s roarings also mean that church people must not only reject the heathen doctrines and customs their false prophets are leading them to believe and obey, but must separate themselves from whatever churches, denominations, faiths, etc. to which they are presently connected. Then they must strictly obey God’s Word which He recorded and preserved for thousands of years–His Holy Bible. Read Ephesians 2:20, First Corinthians 10:11 and Second Timothy 3:14-16.. This ministry is designed for those church people who realize that they are heading toward a spiritual dead-end, are seeking God’s Truth and are willing to pay the price for believing and obeying it. Read about the persecution of God’s true saints. Key word–Persecution.
In the 25th chapter of the Book of Jeremiah we find the Lord speaking to the people of Judah (tribes of Judah, Benjamin and some of the priestly tribe of Levi). Today these people are called “Jews”–the nickname the King James translators gave to the southern tribes of Israel. Approximately 150 years earlier the other Israelite tribes had been defeated, enslaved and eventually scattered throughout the world where, known as Gentiles, they have remained until this day. Read Who and Where is Israel Today? Key word–Today. Beginning in verse two we find Jeremiah speaking to the people of Judah (Judahites–Jews), reminding them that, though he and other prophets had delivered God’s message of repentance and obedience over many years, they had refused to listen and had paid a heavy price for doing so.
Then in verses seven through 14 God directs the prophet to quote His exact Words to the people. Through Jeremiah God tells the rebellious Jews that they had provoked Him to anger by creating their own religious truths, beliefs and customs. Sound familiar? It does if you have read the home page of this website.
The Lord tells them that because of their apostasy, He would send heathen hoards to destroy them and would humiliate and humble them before other nations because of their rebellion against Him. He warns that they would be taken as slaves into Babylon where they would remain for 70 years. He would destroy their culture as well as the land itself, including Jerusalem–the heart and soul of the nation. They would be sold as slaves into foreign lands where they would remain for generations.
In this passage, as well as others, the prophesy of verse 30 tells the backsliding Jews that before the time for their defeat and enslavement arrived the Lord would “… roar from on high” as a warning of what was coming upon them. if they did not repent and obey His Law. In Hosea 11:10 He promises to “… roar out of Zion” (Jerusalem), causing His people to tremble. The problem was that trembling, regret, religiosity, etc. had no effect. The people of Judah eventually found themselves marching to Babylon with their possessions on their backs.
At this point we will shift our attention away from the ancient Israelites (the Judahites–“Jews”) and to the entire house of Israel. We will go to where they are located in the modern world as revealed in the recommended reading mentioned earlier in this posting. Most of the people residing in America, Great Britain, the other so-called “Christian” nations, together with the Jews of the Middle-East, are the descendants of Abraham–the progenitor of the nation of Israel through Isaac and Jacob, whom God renamed “Israel.”
We will now fast-forward to the present day, to the Laodicean era of His church (Rev. 3:14-20). We will study those people (the church) and their relationship with the God they claim to worship and obey. What Jesus said to those people in Revelation three He is now saying to the modern church which that the Laodicean church represented. Read God’s Letters to the Church Eras using the key word–Eras. His final letter will look strikingly familiar. Read the series about this subject using the key word–Apostasy.
Because of professing Christianity’s apostasy, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah is roaring, not only to the modern church, but to the nations in which the church is found. Why? Because they have followed the church into the religious, social, political and economic sewer that exists today world-wide. Read Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28 to understand what is taking place globally as the Lord continues to “roar,” His various “voices” thundering their warnings that, unless mankind changes, the Great Tribulation and the Terrible Day of the Lord will soon appear. Note in Leviticus (vss 1-13) and Deuteronomy (vss 1-14) what God will do FOR those who obey His Word/Law/Truth. Then read what He will do TO those who do not (the remainder of the chapters). Then compare what He promised to do TO those rebels to what is happening in the United States and other so-called “Christian nations” today. Those nations are presently in the spiritual condition that the tribes of Israel were in just before God sent the heathen hoards to defeat, enslave and scatter them. As the descendants of those people, He has promised to do to us what He did to them. That is what the Book of Revelation is about. Relative to God’s “voices” (roarings today, Jesus said that what we are witnessing today is merely “… the beginning of sorrows” (Mat. 24:8). The “Christian world” has “sown the wind” and is about to “reap the whirlwind.”
To avoid what is coming on the earth, one must leave the Satan-empowered, man-governed church system immediately, turn away from church doctrine and to God’s Holy Word, study it, believe it and obey it. Read Second Corinthians 6:14-7:1 where He commands church people to do exactly that. This is the ONLY way to avoid the terror, destruction and death that will soon engulf the earth. God has promised to protect His Very Elect, Law-keeping saints by taking them to a PLACE OF SAFETY (key word–Safety) where He will protect and provide for them while the world around them becomes engulfed by the Great Tribulation and the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord. Read about this coming time using the key word–Tribulation.
Wars, riots, flooding, starvation, hurricanes, tornados, invasion, random killings, rape, earthquakes, rising temperature, disease pandemics, sex perversions …. THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH IS ROARING–IS ANYONE LISTENING? L.J.
