Question: What do the United States, Great Britain and Judah (called Israel today) have to do with the signs of the end times? Answer: Everything. This can be understood only by going back to Egypt where the Patriarch Jacob, whom God renamed Israel, has prophesied over his 12 sons. Now let us focus on those descendants of Jacob/Israel who would play major roles in the spread of God’s Word throughout the world through becoming the prophesied “light” to the world by making the Holy Bible globally available. Though they would eventually rebel against Him as we are seeing take place today, they will have had a major impact on the spread of His light–His Word/Truth (Jn. 17:17).

Now let us return to the sons of Joseph–Ephraim and Manasseh–whose descendants whom God has decreed would become known as “Israel” following the death of Jacob. God decreed that the “sceptre” (rulership) would remain in Judah (Jesus was of the tribe of Judah) (Gen. 49:10), but the “birthright” (blessings) belonged to Joseph (through his two sons) (Chron. 5:1,2). As we will see, God’s blessings did indeed come to Ephraim and Manasseh in terms of wealth and power.

Because the world has lost track of the Northern House they have become known as the “Ten Lost Tribes of Israel.” Though the world knows them as Gentiles, God knows them as Israelites, His chosen people. Though the Israelites of the Northern Tribes today call themselves Gentiles, they are in fact the biological children of Abraham. Those who study and believe the Bible and are familiar with ancient history know that the descendants of Ephraim did indeed become a “multitude (commonwealth) of nations” who are today known as the people of Great Britain (England). Through her prophesied colonizing tendencies she came to control much of the world’s population and production. The English speaking nations of Western Europe were part of the British Empire during the 1800’s and 1900’s. Through the Patriarch Jacob, whom the Lord renamed Israel, God foretold that this would happen as recorded in Genesis 48:19. Just as God prophesied through the Patriarch Jacob, Ephraim become the greatest colonizing nation the world would ever known. Ephraim’s older brother Manasseh was prophesied to separate from Ephraim and to become the greatest single nation in the history of man. This he did. His descendants came to be known as the United States of America. It will be noticed that initially most of those who came to the New World came from England. Once on American shores they joined together and formed the 13 original English colonies. Over time Israelites from the British colonies of Western Europe also came to the New World, assimilated with their Israelite brethren and began to build the greatest nation on earth–ever. Question: How did the ten tribes of Israel come to be found scattered throughout Europe? History holds the answer.

Following their defeat at the hands of Assyria and their enslavement in the northern part of that country,  the people of the ten Israelite tribes, along with the Assyrians, fled the area when the Babylonians attacked them. As a result they were scattered throughout what today is known as Western Europe. The Israelite tribes settled among the various Gentile nations, assimilated with them, absorbed their language, social structure, religion, etc. and became Gentiles. Their descendants assumed themselves to be Gentiles and still do to this day.

Once the 13 American (Israelite) colonies began to establish their dominance in the New World, many of their Israelite brethren from Western Europe began to emigrate to her shores where they mixed with other Israelites, most of whom believed themselves to be Gentiles. Though they had become indistinguishable from their Gentile neighbors, GOD KNEW WHO THEY WERE. Today their descendants make up the multiplied hundreds of millions populate the Untied States, England and Judah (known as Israel today). Today God’s church is made up primarily of Israelites. For this reason the Apostle Paul called the church “THE ISRAEL OF GOD” (Gal. 6:16). See White Fields. L.J.
