In John 10:30 Jesus said: “The Father and I are one.” Jesus of Nazareth (formerly the Word–Jn. 1:1-4,14), was a man like all other men (Heb. 2:18/4:18), meaning that He was subject to and had to deal with the same cares, associations, expectations, responsibilities, spiritual situations, etc. as do you and I. In Philippians 2:6,7 we are told that, though He had been equal with the other God while in heaven, He “made Himself of no reputation” by totally ridding Himself of all of His Godly powers when He came to earth as a man. He had no advantage over us during His earthly life (“walk”). However, He and the Father were ONE, meaning one in mind, character, will, etc. WHILE HE WAS ON EARTH AS A MAN. What does this say about those who seek to spend eternity with Him and His Father. What did His oneness with God say about the believer’s relationship with Him? If God’s first begotten Son was no different from us, and if He was one with Him (His Father), does this not tell us that those who have been begotten by Him–His begotten sons–are one with God in the same way that Jesus was one with Him? Indeed, it tells us that we MUST BE ONE WITH THE FATHER AS JESUS WAS ONE WITH HIM WHILE WALKING THIS EARTH. IT MEANS THAT WE MUST BE IN CHRIST WHO IS ONE WITH GOD. THIS MEANS THAT GOD, CHRIST AND THEIR BEGOTTON CHILDREN FORM THE FAMILY OF GOD AT THIS TIME. THEY CONSTITUTE THE TRUE CHURCH OF GOD TODAY.

In John 14:10 Jesus said that He was IN the Father and the Father was IN Him. Therefore, if we are IN CHRIST, THEN WE ARE ALSO IN GOD THE FATHER. IF THE FATHER IS IN CHRIST, THEN THE FATHER IS IN US ALSO. IF THE SAINT IS IN JESUS AND GOD AND THEY ARE IN HIM, THEN GOD, JESUS AND THE SAINT ARE ALL ONE. THIS IS THE MESSAGE THAT JESUS HAS SPOKEN TO US. Jesus said in John 14:9 that anyone who had seen Him had seen the Father. Our message to the world is: WHEN YOU SEE ME YOU SEE BOTH GOD AND THE FATHER. THOSE WHO CLAIM ONENESS WITH THEM MUST INDEED “WALK AS JESUS WALKED AND OVERCOME TEMPTATION AS JESUS OVERCAME IT (1 JN. 2:6/REV. 3:21).

This spiritual family relationship is brought out in several passages of Scripture. First John 2:3-6, Revelation 3:21,22 and First Corinthians 1:1-9 are examples of this Truth. In John’s epistle we are told that if we claim to know Jesus (as our spiritual Brother) we must KEEP THE TEN COMMANDMENT LAW (including #4). He tells us that if we say we know Him and do not obey His Law we are LIARS and His Truth is not in us. He says that obeying His Law proves that God’s love is perfected in us. We prove our love for Jesus by obeying the commandments (Jn. 14:15). By doing so we ABIDE IN HIM AND “WALK (LIVE) AS HE WALKED.” As a man, Jesus proved His love for the Father by obeying His Law (Jn. 15:10), thereby abiding in His (God’s) love. Read John 14:21 and 1 John 2:3-5. The question we must answer by studying the Holy Scriptures is: HOW DID JESUS WALK THAT ENABLED HIM TO ABIDE IN GOD’S LOVE. WE MUST THEN FOLLOW HIS EXAMPLE, THEREBY ABIDING IN HIS (CHRIST’S) AND THE FATHER’S LOVE.

Which brings us to the next passage–Revelation 3:21,22 where we find Jesus telling us: “To him who overcomes (Satan’s temptations to sin) I will give permission to sit with me on MY throne (in the Kingdom of God), just as I also overcame (Satan) and (was allowed to) sit with My Father on His throne.” Note that Jesus had to prove Himself worthy to sit with His Father on His throne until His (Christ’s) return to earth where His (Christ’s) throne will be located in New Jerusalem–His and His Father’s kingdom headquarters. Read about the Kingdom of God using the key word–Kingdom. In verse 22 He tells us that true saints are instructed in the ways of God by the Holy Spirit. In Matthew 5:6 Jesus tells us that we must hunger and thirst for righteousness. Then we must “dine” on the Word of God and do (“work”) what we are told to do (by consuming the holy “food” found in the Holy Bible). Recall Christ’s Words in Matthew 4:4: “(God’s people) must LIVE BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD”–THE HOLY BIBLE. The Apostle Paul will tell us how to do this in his first letter to the church at Corinth which we will examine in the next segment of this series.

Notice that Jesus said that we who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be “filled” with righteousness. According to church leaders, this is not only unnecessary, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO ADAM’S SIN, THEREFORE JESUS DIED SO THAT WE COULD SIN AND GET AWAY WITH IT. The question we must each answer is: WHOSE WORDS ARE WE GOING TO BELIEVE AND OBEY–GOD’S WORDS OR MAN’S (SATAN’S) WORDS KNOWN AS “CHURCH DOCTRINE.” Church leaders tell us that righteousness is not possible, that sin (“darkness”) is a natural, in-born part of our human nature. Read Why is the Bible so Confusing? #1–Original Sin, key word, Original. We are told numerous times that WE MUST BE IN CHRIST. God, speaking through the Apostle John, tells us that “IN HIM THERE IS NO DARKNESS (SIN) AT ALL” (1 Jn. 1:5). If we are filled with righteousness there is no room for sin–AT ALL. I will repeat what I heard a television preacher say to his local and t.v. audience: “Do not even try to be righteous; you’ll just make yourself sick. You are nothing but a society of sinners.” This is the message Satan’s false prophets preach to their congregations who believe them and react accordingly. Church doctrine is implemented in order to supposedly legitimize sin in the life of the churchite.

The Prophet Isaiah tells us why true children of God can have no sin (darkness) in them at all. In 59:2 he explains that “YOUR SINS SEPARATE YOU FROM YOUR GOD.” One cannot be IN CHRIST and be separated from Him. We cannot walk with Him and be in disagreement with Him (Amos 3:3). The Godhead (Father and Son) reside within the true saint in the form of Their Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will not reside within a sinner, no matter how religious he/she may be. True sons of God are led by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:14). The Holy Spirit does not lead us to sin. When sin enters, the Spirit exits. So-called “sinners saved by grace” do not believe these Biblical Truths. King David, under conviction for his sins, pleaded with His God (the Word Who became Jesus of Nazareth) not to take His Holy Spirit from him (Ps. 51:11). The Holy Spirit will not abide where sin abides. Read The God of the Old Testament, key word–Old.

In the next posting we will carefully examine First Corinthians 1:2-9 where the Lord, through the Apostle Paul, is telling salvation seekers Truths that are rejected by the global counterfeit church–the two-headed, multi-bodied, Satan-led and empowered religious monster known as “the church,” which I call The Catholic/Protestant Religious System.

The coming church civil war will bring to the world’s attention people like me who will proclaim God’s pure word in real time. We will provide miraculous proof of God’s Truth on a scale that the Book of Acts will pale by comparison. I do not know how many men God will use to bring His Word to the world’s masses. He has spoken to me only about myself in that regard. God’s light will shine as a stark contrast to the world’s darkness, including the darkness in which the Institutional Church lives today. God’s messengers will spiritually fight against the kingdom of Satan which is this world and its heathen religions, specifically the religion that calls itself “the church.” Led by that church, the world’s masses will fight against God’s messengers using national governments as their muscle. And they will lose. Like Gideon’s 300, we will still be standing when God takes His true saints to their place of safety just before the Great Tribulation begins. L.J.
