If I Was Satan (Pt. 3)

The “fact” that the Lord nailed His Ten Commandment Law to His cross is one of the most often-stated “truths” proclaimed by “Christian” preachers throughout the world.  For some 1900 years this “Bible fact” has been put forth literally hundreds of thousands of times.  But if the Bible is to be believed, this “church truth” is a lie straight from the heart of the “angel of light” through the lips of his “ministers of righteousness” (2 Cor. 11:13-15).  The Biblical Truth is that Jesus did not nail the Law to the Cross.  The Biblical truth is that the Law nailed Jesus to the cross.  JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED BECAUSE MEN BROKE GOD’S LAW.  BY BECOMING MAN’S SIN (2 Cor. 5:21) HE WAS NAILED TO THE CROSS FOR ALL MANKIND.

To this moment, man’s transgressions of the Law continue to nail Him to the cross.  This includes the sins of churchman.  This bit of “fine print” comes to truth seekers from Hebrews 6:6 where Paul tells us that if we continue to sin after being cleansed from all PAST sins–justified (Rom. 3:25), that we “crucify Christ afresh and put Him to an open shame” with each sin (Heb. 6:6).  By continuing to sin, church people serve as Satan’s version of those Roman soldiers who wielded the hammers and nails.  Church sinners, like their unchurched counterparts, crucify Christ and put Him to an open shame as a matter of routine.  According to them, sinning is one of the perks of being supposedly “saved.”

The Apostle Paul received his gospel straight from Jesus Christ Himself through revelation (Gal. 1:12).   This same Paul tells us that each time a person sins he/she spiritually nails Jesus to His cross.   Contrary to universal opinion, church members are not exempt from this Truth.  Jesus did not die so that he/she could sin and get away with it; He died so that man could have his PAST sins forgiven at conversion, then, having received the Spirit (power) of God, could overcome Satan’s temptation to sin.  After forgiving their sins, Jesus told the prostitute and the man at the pool: “SIN NO MORE” (Jn. 8:11;5:14).  Jesus COMMANDED these unconverted souls to STOP SINNING THEN AND TO REMAIN FREE OF SIN PERMANENTLY.  He was referring to God’s definition of sin: “To transgress the Law is sin, for sin is the transgression of the Law” (1 Jn. 3:4).  If He required those people to stop sinning, would He command anything less of those who claim to have been saved by Him?  Two and one-half billion church people say, “Yes He does.  Jesus died to set us free to sin whenever we want.  Periodic repentance is all that is required to guarantee each of us a mansion in heaven.”  Adam is the one God blames for their sins.  Either God or the Catholic/Protestant Church System is wrong.  If I was a gambler I would bet everything I own on the latter.

In the series titled The Two Laws of God (key word-Two) I write that God created His eternal moral Law at Mt. Sinai and wrote it in stone with His own finger.  Because Israel refused to obey His Law, he had Moses write another law which required a blood sacrifice relative to sin.  This law would be in place until the Word Himself would come to earth as Jesus of Nazareth to shed His own blood for man’s sins.  IT WAS THE SACRIFICIAL LAW–THE “HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES”–THAT WAS NAILED TO THE CROSS.  The Lord Himself made this abundantly clear during the Last Supper.

Man is still required to obey His stone-etched Law to this day because it defines both sin and holiness–sin if one breaks it and holiness if one disobeys it.  The responsibility of choice and outcome is man’s.  Man refutes this Bible Truth, saying that, because of Adam’s sin, he actually has no choice but to sin.  If this is so, why did Jesus personally and face-to-face command two people to “sin no more” after being forgiven of their sins.  Contrary to the opinion of all supposed “sinners saved by grace,” Jesus is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34).  What He commands of one He commands of all.  Everyone who has ever lived was, is and will continue to be required to live by “every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Mat. 4:4).  Everyone who has ever lived will be judged by every one of those Words (Jn. 12:48–read vss 44-50).  In Revelation 20:12 Jesus tells us that God will judge all of mankind by what is written in the “books,”–meaning the books of the Bible–His Law which He condensed into Ten Commandments.  Not one “jot or tittle” will have changed–nothing removed, nothing added (Lk. 16:17).  Man rejects this Truth, “knowing” that Jesus died so that he can accept or reject God’s Word at will.  For example, He removed God’s Sabbath from the Law and added Satan’s sabbath.  He also removed “Sin no more” and added “I have no choice but to sin.”  To add a finishing touch, churchman claims that God agrees with him.  Or, as one woman said, “God doesn’t like it, but He won’t do anything about it.”

Let us now study what God Himself says about His Law in that sacred Book of Truths (Jn. 17:17).  In Galatians 3:19 we are told that the sacrificial law was “added (to the moral Law) because of transgressions.”  Initially, the sacrificial law did not exist as we are told in Deuteronomy 5:22.  Here Moses proclaimed that when God created His eternal Law He “… ADDED NO MORE” to it because it was perfect as written.  Only later, after Israel broke the Ten Commandments, did He add the sacrificial law to cover their sins until He would return to erase one’s PAST sins and empower true believers to overcome the temptation to sin.  Because He (Jesus) overcame Satan by the power of the Holy Spirit, He commands that we also overcome him using that same power.   He noted that only those who “… overcome as I overcame … will sit with Me on My throne” in the Kingdom of God (Rev. 3:21).

While talking to His disciples Jesus said that He would die for His friends (a “headline”).  This is where people stop reading.  But if one continues to read he finds that Jesus added a condition to the promise.  He said to His disciples that He would die for them “… IF you do everything I command you to do” (Jn. 15:13,14).  In John 8:31 He told them that they would continue to be His disciples “… IF you obey My commandments (Law).  In John 14:15,23 He told them that IF they loved Him they would obey His commandments/words.  In John 15:10 He said that they could remain in His love IF they kept (obeyed) His commandments.  He also said that HE REMAINED IN HIS FATHER’S LOVE BY KEEPING HIS COMMANDMENTS (LAW).  If it was necessary for Jesus to obey God in order to remain in His love, WHY DO SO-CALLED “SINNERS SAVED BY GRACE” THINK THEY CAN SIN AND BE IN GOD’S LOVE?  They believe this Satanic lie BECAUSE THEY DO NOT BELIEVE THE WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST, THE SAME WORDS BY WHICH HE WILL JUDGE THEM (Jn. 12:48).

Paul, who was taught by Jesus Himself, wrote that “the Law IS holy, just and good” (Rom. 7:12).  The Law was holy then and is holy now.  He said in Romans 7:7 that he would not have know what sin was but for the Law.   He said in 7:9 that when he learned about the Law he realized that he was a walking dead man because he had broken it.  In 2:13 he told the Rome church that they must do (obey) the Law in order to remain justified (forgiven of past sins–Rom. 3:25).  In 2:13 he told them that they must not be merely hearers of the Law he taught them, they must be doers of that Law in order to be saved.  James (1:22) proclaims that if one is merely a hearer of the Law and not a doer of it he “deceives himself.”  The Prophet Isaiah, operating under the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:21), wrote that the Lord’s Messiah would come to earth to “magnify the Law and make it honorable (again)” after the Israelites had rejected it (Isa. 42:21).  For those who reject the Old Testament, recall that the New Testament Church was founded on the writings of both the OLD TESTAMENT PROPHETS and New Testament apostles (Eph. 2:20).  Recall that the apostles preached the Old Testament because the New Testament did not exist during the time of their ministries.  Both prophets and apostles spoke and wrote under the power of God’s Holy Spirit.  Neither God nor His Spirit change.  They are the same yesterday, today and forever.

Those whom Satan has lured into his Catholic/Protestant Church System do not merely reject the immortal Law of God, they repeatedly proclaim its death.  Not only that, but each time someone breaks His Law (sin) he re-crucifies Jesus Christ (Heb. 6:6), thereby adding to his sin total which will accumulate until the day of judgment (Rom. 2:5).  Until that day sinners will continue to “do what is right in their own eyes” (Jud. 17:6;21:25).  They will “call good evil and evil good” (Isa. 5:20).  They will flaunt their service to and worship of Satan for all the world to see.

God rules His people by His Law.  Satan leads his people to not merely break God’s Law, but to declare it null and void.  By keeping them ignorant of God’s “fine print” the devil blinds them to God’s Truth (2 Cor. 4:4).  Because they are willingly blind, God sends them “strong delusion so that they will believe a (Satan’s) lie” (2 Thes. 2:11).  Religious man commits spiritual suicide by breaking God’s Law.

“The (Ten Commandment) Law has dominion over a man as long as he lives” (Rom. 7:1). Sinning churchman feels spiritually close to god, which he is.  The problem is that his god is the “god of this earth” who has “deceived the whole world.”  God will not share his people with Satan.  Man has chosen to worship and serve Satan.  Punishment comes periodically and will continue to come.  Man mocks God when he deliberately breaks His Law (sins–1 Jn. 3:4).  “Beware, God is not mocked.  What a man sows, that shall he also reap.”  “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31).  L.J.
