Homosexuality has been around almost as long as mankind.  God’s people were dealing with sexual deviance early on as the previous posting confirms.  The Scriptures tell us that anciently same-sex physical acts were not the only abominations associated with sexual deviance.  In Deuteronomy 22:5 God includes in that class of people those who today are known as “cross-dressers.”  These are males and females who wear the clothing of the opposite sex in the belief that they are the not the sex that their physical attributes indicate.  This includes those who today call themselves “transgenders.”  Let us be clear about our terminology: “sex” refers to one’s physical sex organs.  “Gender” refers to the mind-set, actions, attitudes, mannerisms, etc. of each sex.  Sex and gender were designed by God to distinguish between the TWO SEXES after “HE MADED THEM MALE AND FEMALE” (Gen. 1:27).  Now that we know WHAT God did relative to the male-female situation, let us study His ATTITUDE toward those who disagree with how He distinguishes between them.

In 1 Kings 15:11,12 and 22:5 we learn about Asa and Jehoshaphat–father and son who ruled Judah for many years.  It is said of them that, during their respective times as king they “did what was right in the sight of the Lord.”  One of those “right” things they did was to rid the nation of homosexuals (sodomites).  The Scriptural passages I provided in the previous posting show beyond a doubt that God condemned homosexuals during ancient times.  Now let us learn how that same God views today’s version of sexual deviance.  Contrary to popular opinion, He has not changed His mind, seen the light, evolved, recognized the error of His ways, etc.

In the first chapter of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Rome he wrote about “UNGODLY” and “UNRIGHTEOUS” men in the church who were guilty of doing “UNCLEAN things” such as “DISHONORING” their own bodies between themselves” (vs 24) and “displaying “VILE AFFECTIONS” (for each other).  The men were not alone, for their women “changed the ‘natural’ use unto that which is against ‘nature’ (the way God created them) and likewise the men, leaving the ‘natural’ use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men (having sex) with men, doing that which is ‘INDECENT’ … which is ‘ERROR'” (vss 26,27).  He went on to say that these “VILE” (atimia–shameful) persons, “knowing the judgment of god, that they which commit such things are worthy of “DEATH,” not only do those things, but have pleasure in those who do them” (vs 32).

In 1 Corinthians 6:9,10 Paul warns that neither fornicators, nor adulterers, nor the effeminate, nor homosexuals will inherit the kingdom of God (not heaven) where God’s Very Elect will reside in the future.  In Ephesians 5:5 he places whoremongers in that category.  For more information concerning the Kingdom of God see the series by that name.

Sex deviants are under the control of Satan, whose angels–“devils”/”demons”–inhabit them, causing them to have mind-sets that conflict with their sex.  What the world, including the church world, does not understand is that man’s rejection of God’s Word in any way is caused by these fallen angels (demons)–who enter the heart/mind of people and gain control over them.  The Introduction to this website shows how effective they have been in destroying the church.  Everything–good or evil–begins in the mind (Jam. 1:15).  I know from personal experience and from dealing with demon-afflicted people how those spirits (“spirits of Antichrist”) enter, how they work and what it takes to get rid of them.  The process is called “deliverance.”  I have cast many of them out of church people.  God, through Paul, tells us in Ephesians 6:10-16: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (His Holy Spirit).  Put on (our choice) the whole armor of God so that you will be able to stand against the wiles (powers) of the devil.  For we do not fight against flesh and blood, but AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES, AGAINST POWERS, AGAINST THE RULER OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS AGE (SATAN), AGAINST SPIRITUAL POWERS OF WICKEDNESS IN HEAVENLY PLACES–DEVILS.  Therefore take up (our choice) the whole armor of God so that you (God’s people) may be able to stand in the evilness of this day, and having done all you can do, to stand (against Satan’s devils/demons).  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with TRUTH (God’s Word–Jn. 17:17), having put on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS (obedience to the Law) and having shod your feet with the preparation of the GOSPEL of peace, and above all, taking the shield of FAITH (belief in God’s Word) which will make you able to quench all of the fiery darts (temptations) of the wicked one (Satan).”  Again, our choice determines whether we win or lose our war with Satan and his spirits.  Ninety-nine percent of professing Christendom has lost all of the battles and will lose the war unless they come out of Satan’s Catholic/Protestant church system (2 Cor. 6:14-71), embrace God’s true gospel, believe it and obey it.  Jesus said that only a few would do so (Mat. 7:13,14).  He lamented that most parishioners, having been seduced by Satan and his angels, will remain in his church.

All sin is spiritual in nature.  Most sin is caused by people allowing Satan’s spiritual agents (demons) to influence them.  Most physical and mental problems are caused by these “spirits in high places” (Eph. 6:12) who follow the orders of “the prince of the powers of the air” (Satan–Eph. 2:2).  Satan’s “fiery darts” are his devils trying to enter people and, if they succeed, control them.  Whether their target is churched or unchurched, they succeed 99% of the time.  Their goal is to entice their subjects to sin–disobey God’s Law (1 Jn. 3:4).  Their success is advertised by those calling themselves “Sinners Saved By Grace.”  The power of Satan and his spirits is obvious when church people brag about obeying him and getting away with it.
