Did Jesus Die On A Cross? (Pt. 2)

Did Jesus die on a two-piece cross?  The Companion Bible states that: … our English word ‘cross’ is the translation of the Latin word ‘crux;’ but the Greek stauros (an upright stake) no more means a crux (cross) than the word ‘stick’ means a ‘crutch’ …. It (stauros) never means two pieces of timber placed across one another at any angle, but always of ONE PIECE ALONE …. There is nothing in the Greek of the N.T. even to imply two pieces of timber.” The first mention of a cross relative to Christ’s death was written over 100 years after Christ’s death. When the Catholic Church began forcing heathen people in the Roman Empire to “convert” to Catholicism, people who worshiped a god who used a cross as his symbol were also “converted” to “the faith.” In order to appease them the church embraced the cross and legitimized it by claiming that Christ died on one. HE DID NOT. The Protestants took that lie, and many others, with them when they left in “protest.”

Jesus of Nazareth–the Christ of God–was put to death on a stake. There is no evidence that the Lord’s New Testament Church ever used the cross or the stake symbol for any reason. Nowhere in the Scriptures do we find the Lord requiring His people to use a cross in worship of, or service to, Him. He tells us not to use man-made items in our worship of Him. Many people have been martyred for being what the church calls a “Christian.” Their “Christian life,” their supposed “service to God” and their “Christian martyrdom” are all in vain. Because they “worshiped” Him but did not obey Him He said this in Matthew 15:9: “These people draw near to Me with their mouth (words), and honor Me with their lips, but their heart (mind) is FAR FROM ME. But IN VAIN THEY DO WORSHIP ME (BY) TEACHING FOR (MY) DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN.” See the Introduction to the website for examples. Question: who taught them the “commandments of men?” Answer: CHURCH “WITNESSES,” FALSE PASTORS, EVANGELISTS, SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS AND MISSIONARIES, TELEVISION HUCKSTERS WHO WILL SEND THEM A C.D., DVD, BOOK, A CROSS OR A BOTTLE OF HOLY WATER IF YOU WILL SEND THEM A “LOVE OFFERING.” THESE ARE THOSE WHO TEACH SATAN’S LIES INSTEAD OF GOD’S SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS. Being deceived by Satan’s “ministers of righteousness,” they are easy pickings for him. As a result, there are two billion plus church people who blindly follow their ear-scratching hirelings as they are lulled along Satan’s broad (“only believe”) way to “destruction” (Mat. 7:13,14). God commands those who seek Him to come out of the devil’s citadels of sin so that they can His “voice” as it comes through those who speak only His Words. Sadly, Jesus said that only a few would do so (Mat. 7:13,14).

Many heathen teachings and practives form the foundation upon which professing Christianity rests. God calls these theological elements “sand” that can be formed into whatever shape pleases him. The Catholic cult and the hundreds Protestant cults all have their own supply of sand, and like children on the sea shore, they have manipulated their sand into the shape that pleases them.

The Book written by the Rock is a covenant He and His Father are offering to mankind. They made the covenant.  Therefore it contains Their Rules of Engagement by which those who sign on to that covenant must live in order to receive the rewards it offers. Satan has convinced them that the rules were designed so that no one could obey them. Therefore Jesus died so that they can disobey them and still receive the reward promised to those who obey them–Eternal Life. Not merely wrong, but dead wrong.
