The word “suppression” relative to the subject of this series involves the effect that salvation-seeking man has had on the Word of God as he (man) hears and heeds the voice of Satan–“the god of this world”(2 Cor. 4:4) which includes what is called “Christianity” as well as all other religions. According to Websters’ Dictionary of the English Language, to “suppress” means to put an end to, to stop, to crush, to prohibit, to withhold knowledge. When used relative to the Word of God, to suppress means to prevent the Truth of God (His Word/Gospel–Jn. 17:17) from being proclaimed by those God has sent to inform mankind about His (God’s) plan of salvation. As His true saints have seen, read and heard over the past two thousand years, there has been a concerted effort on the part of Satan to suppress God’s Truth. To realize how successful the Lord’s premiere enemy has been, look in any telephone book under the heading CHURCHES–and count. In Romans 1:18 the Apostle Paul uses the term “suppress” in describing what the church at Rome was doing at that time. Nothing has changed relative to what is happening within the religious world globally. Satan’s efforts are not hindered by time or place.

Concerning the reality of Truth suppression, Old Testament prophets used different words to describe what the devil’s false prophets were doing in the church at Rome. An example involves what was declared by the Prophet Daniel who noted that, in the final days of this present age (today), one will arise who will “cast the Truth of God to the ground” (8:12). This “one” is also characterized as the “little horn” in Dan. 7:8,11,20,21. This religious “horn” would one day draw the world to himself and persecute God’s true saints as I describe in a series one can download using the key word–Civil. However, those who love God and prove their love by “keeping His Commandments (Law)” will maintain their covenant with Him (9:4). Regardless of when, or in which chronological era one hears the Gospel, “casting it to the ground” and “suppressing It” mean the same thing; it means to reject God’s Word/Truth, to bring it to an end, to crush it, to prevent it from being proclaimed or to withhold it from the people. For many generations the Catholic Church forbad her parishioners from owning a Bible, reading the Bible or hearing the Bible being read UNDER THREAT OF DEATH at the hands of the Roman Empire. Why? Because reading or hearing God’s Truth would expose the church’s counterfeit “truths” which comprise Satan’s counterfeit gospel. When the so-called “Protestants” (protesters) followed Marin Luther out of the “mother church,” they brought many of her heathen beliefs and customs with them, believing them to be “God’s Truth.” The question is, why?

The answer lies in the fact that in the religious world, familiarity=reality/truth. In the religious arena, what we are born into and grow up with is assumed–without question–to be God’s truth, His way, His word, etc. The Catholic Church had “trampled the Truth to the ground” and “suppressed” it for so many generations that all, including the protesters, “knew” that the church’s heathen beliefs and customs they had heard throughout their lives were God’s Truths being spoken through the priests whom they “knew” had been sent by God. They were told that if a priest said it, God had said it. Questioning a priest’s statement would be dangerous. Today that rule still stands supreme within the Institutional Church. My assignment from God is to challenge church doctrine publicly, loudly and continually. This is why, over the past dozen or so years, I have seldom missed a day in which I have not posted a teaching. There was a time when something was amiss with the website provider when I could not post. That lasted for about three weeks as I recall.

Understand this Truth: the “Protestants” (protesters) did not leave Mystery, Babylon–the Great Whore church pictured in Revelation 17:1-5 because of her beliefs and customs; they left because of the sins of the priests such as the selling of indulgencies (forgiveness of sin) as well as their sexual abominations. I will use as an example of such an indulgence a situation which I learned about from one of the people involved. Many years ago I knew an elderly Catholic couple who were very deeply involved in the church’s theology. The lady died and, according to church beliefs, went directly to purgatory to await her time of “cleansing” to end so that she could enter heaven. As was church custom, her husband paid their local priest to light a candle and pray for his dead wife. The payment came in the form of a bottle of whiskey given to their priest so that he work to shorten her stay in purgatory. It was because of the sins of the priesthood that Martin Luther left the Catholic Church and took some fellow believers with him.

However, Satan refused to lose those people who had escaped the darkness of that religion. Through his fallen angels (devils/demons) working through church leaders, he made certain that the separation from Catholicism was only superficial. So effective was he that today Protestantism differs only slightly from Catholicism they supposedly reject. By reading the home page of this website one will realize that PROTESTANTS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN CATHOLICS WITH A RELIGIOUS PAINT JOB. You will notice that Catholics and Protestants rely equally on pagan religion for many of their beliefs and customs. Just as Paul called Jewish priests “whitewashed tombs” (lovely on the outside and rotting on the inside), the Institutional Church embraces the same Satanic mind-set–all religious talk and no holy walk, meaning thatg they are alive outwardly but dead inwardly. It is for this reason that the two factions of professing Christendom (Catholic and Protestant) will soon unite as one church under the reigning pope who will orchestrate a global war on God’s true saints. Empowered by the governments of this world, the False Prophet of Revelation 16:13; 19:20 and 20:10 will use the Sunday Sabbath as the focal point of the church’s war on the Lord’s true saints. The sad truth about the Protestant movement was, and continues to be, the fact that they remain as steeped in heathen religion as does the mother (Catholic) church. Both bodies continue to believe that their pagan beliefs and customs are of the Lord because that is what they were born into and have believed all of their lives. Both Catholics and Protestants believe that what they hear coming from their pulpits is God’s Truth. ignorance of the Holy Scriptures is assured by keeping the people dependent on their leaders for “God’s Truth.” They are told that only church leaders can hear from God. And when they (the parishioners) are told to study the Bible, they are directed to embrace only what is accepted by their particular church’s creator. They are not to determine right and wrong themselves by studying God’s Word. Content with READING a few Bible verses each day instead of STUDYING it in-depth, they see no reason to follow God’s study instructions found in Isaiah 28:9-13. As I was told by a pillar of the church in which I spent my younger days: “I know all I need to know” about the Holy Bible. She knew very little beyond John 3:16. Due to church dogma, she totally missed the meaning of that much-quoted passage. Read about this church-wide error using the key word–3:16. Also read “It Is Finished,” key word–Finished. Satan works constantly to keep both parts of the Catholic/Protestant Religious system (“the church”) from discovering God’s Truth. He does this by “suppressing” God’s Holy Word and “casting God’s Truth to the ground.” God declares that it is that very Truth that must be known, believed and obeyed in order to receive salvation upon the return of Jesus to the earth.

God called me to be His missionary to the Institutional Church. The commission came with a warning: found in the Holy Scriptures where He warns that the vast majority of THOSE TO WHOM I SPEAK AND WRITE WOULD HATE ME AS THEY HATED HIS SON–AND FOR THE SAME REASON. HE WARNED THAT THE WORLD WILL HATE ME FOR PROCLAIMING HIS LIGHT TO THOSE WHO ARE WALLOWING IN SATAN’S DARK, RELIGIOUS PIT. I am no longer surprised at the extent to which the Institutional Church hates God and His Word. Jesus spoke to this Truth in Luke 10:17 and Deuteronomy 5:1-10. In both cases we are warned that those who obey His Words/Law WILL BE HATED EXACTLY AS THEIR RELIGIOUS ANCESTORS HATED HIM DURING HIS TIME ON EARTH AND AS THEIR RELIGIOUS DESCENDANTS CONTINUE TO DO TO THIS DAY.

A major problem within the church is the fact that most people separate the Lord’s Words from His Law. The fact that His Words and His Law are one and the same is brought out by Jesus in John 14:15 and 23 where He tells those who will hear Him: “IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS” (vs 15) AND “IF ANYONE LOVES ME WILL KEEP MY WORD” (vs 23). Notice that the all-important (and most hated) word in the Bible–IF–is found in both statements. Faith, no matter how strong, cannot save the soul. We must LOVE AND KEEP His Word/commandments in order to be saved upon His return. The word “keep” is a military term meaning to surround so as to protect. We must have the same attitude toward God’s Word/Law/commandments as does He. We must view all things through His eyes, not through the eyes of church leaders who, being blinded by Satan, see things through his eyes. What Satan allows his worshippers to see is what is called CHURCH DOCTRINE, WHICH IS HIS “NEW AND IMPORVED” VERSION OF GOD’S HOLY WORD.

A couple of those new and improved versions are worth mentioning. One pastor tells his congregants that the Lord wants them to have fun. Having numerous sex partners is fun. By doing so one is pleasing God. Another leader tells her people that they need not repent after sinning, for God already knows that they are going to sin and forgives them even before they COMMIT THE ACT. I just remembered a third new and improved bit of church “truth.” According to another preacher, Jesus and Satan are co-equal partners in the salvation process. In this two-way alliance, Satan entices church people to sin so that they will seek God’s forgiveness, thereby keeping them in touch with Him. AND PEOPLE ARE BELIEVING THIS. L.J.
