Jealousy, ignited by pride, was the sin that caused Satan’s downfall. He wanted what God had and tried to take it from Him. His jealousy has not waned; his quest for victory over the Lord continues to this day. Only this time his prey is God’s saints whom he hates because they will, following Christ’s return and the millennium, become caretakers of the entire universe–the status he (Satan) sought but failed to win. See God’s Very Elect–Future Caretakers of the Universe. Also, watch the YouTube series by the same name.
Satan hates the Very Elect because they will inherit what he and his angels (devils/demons) fought a war to win but failed. Since then he has been at war with the Lord’s saints and, thought he (Satan) has them outnumbered millions (perhaps billions) to one, he has consistently lolst. This is not to say that he has failed totally. In fact, he has been supremely successful. Today he owns and controls billions of people who believe that, because they belong to _________ church (fill in the blank), that they are children of the Biblical God. But Satan is not satisfied with a 99.99% success rate. He will not stop trying until he possesses all who claim Christ as their Savior. But he will fail. The Lord tells us in His Word that there has always been and will always be a tiny “remnant” that will defeat Satan and become rulers of all that exists.
That God’s “little flock,” His tiny “remnant” will one day rule all of His creation as Christ’s co-inheritors is not a well-known Biblical fact. Few within professing Christendom know that this Biblical Truth was spoken two times by Jesus Himself. In John 10:25-34 we find Him speaking to a group of Jews who were preparing to stone Him because He claimed to be the Son of God. They argued that no human being could be a son of God, and that to claim otherwise was blasphemy. Jesus then shamed them for not knowing the Old Testament and therefore not knowing what the Father had promised them–godhood. He reminded them of an oft-overlooked statement He had made which was recorded in Psalm 82:6: “I (Jesus–the God of the Old Testament) have said (to the children of Israel), “ye are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High.” He was telling them in Psalms and again in John that they had the capacity to become children of God and therefore gods, following the end of the age. They, along with anyone who would believe and obey the Father, were gods in embryo, just as a fertilized human egg is a human being in embryo. Both spiritual and biological embryos eventually become what they are designed to become if they are allowed to mature. In the spiritual realm, Satan does everything he can to prevent the embryo from becoming what God designed each and every embryo to become–a god. This is brought out in 1 Timothy 2:4 and 2 Peter 3:9 where He says through His servants that He wants everyone to be saved. He is not willing that anyone should perish spiritually. However, whether one matures into the designed spiritual “form” is each individual’s choice. As the website series titled The Three Resurrections brings out, everyone who has ever been born will be resurrected and given the opportunity to accept what Jesus has done for them, turn from sin to righteousness and inherit eternal life. This is also the subject of the teaching to be presented on my YouTube site next week. All of my YouTube teachings are available for viewing at proveallthingsofgod. L.J.
