Why Did God Create Man? (Pt. 3)

What you are about to read is a spiritual “secret” that, from the beginning, has been “hiding in plain sight” and known by only a minutely few people, believed by only a minutely few of the minutely few who know it, and acted upon by only a minutely few of the minutely few who who believe it.  The Almighty revealed to me the Truths I am about to share with you many years ago, long before I was converted.  From time to time over the years He has revealed in His Word, through the Holy Spirit as well as through physical manifestations what will be presented in the following postings.  With the revelations there was always the promise of more–much more–to follow, which was in line with Biblical teachings.

For example, the Lord (the Word Who became Jesus) told the Prophet Daniel that what He was showing and telling him was not for that day, but for “the time at the end” of the age.  At that time He would reveal to His servants the Truth about the visions and prophecies He had given Daniel.  Daniel told God that he did not understand what he was being shown.  God told him that it was not for him to understand, but that he (Daniel) was to write everything he had seen and heard on a scroll and “seal it up.”  At the proper time He (God) would unseal it and reveal its message to His messengers who would declare it.

I have had similar experiences, some of which involved visions, others involved “hearing” the “voice” of God’s Holy Spirit which told me of things to come.  I have written about those visions and voices in previous series.  The “voice” of God I want to discuss at this time was the result of reading a particular verse in John’s Gospel.  I have no idea how many times I had read that verse before God revealed its true meaning to me.

I cannot remember not believing the Bible.  Even as a child I KNEW that it was true, though I understood very little of it, and did not understand why I knew it was true.  Over the years it came to me that my knowing what I knew was very unusual in that no one I knew or knew of believed it.  All that I heard and read from preachers and teachers contradicted what was in the Bible.  Only God can give an adult, let along a child, that level of faith.  From early on I knew that GOD WAS SPEAKING TO ME PERSONALLY FROM HIS WORD, telling me to not merely believe, but to KNOW THAT EVERY WORD IN THE BIBLE WAS HIS TRUTH AND WAS HIS WILL FOR ME.  Over time I came to realize that there are levels of faith.  There is faith on a general level at which one believes that something IS TRUE.  Then there is SPECIFIC FAITH which expects that something to COME TRUE IN REALITY.  In the same sense there is general revelation that brings understanding on the elementary level.  Then there is SPECIFIC REVELATION which speaks to the individual about a specific issue.  All church people have faith and revelation on a general level.  People on the general level believe that the Bible is true, but do not expect specific promises to come to fruition in their lives.  Christ level revelation and faith not only know the Truth, but know that God will bring specific Truths to fruition in their lives if they obey the Giver of that Truth.

One of the skills true believers must develop concerns the art of waiting.  Just as God explained to Daniel, and many years later to the Apostle John, TIMING is of utmost importance when it comes to the Lord’s fulfilling His prophetic statements.  Just as He told Daniel that what He was showing and telling him was for “the time at the end” of the era, He told John that what He would show and tell him would “shortly come to pass” (Rev. 1:1-3).  Obviously, the Lord’s concept of “shortly” is different from ours.  Now, thousands of years after the Lord spoke those end-time prophecies, those who know and believe the Bible are watching those prophecies come to pass.  We are seeing the latter part of Daniel’s vision (the 4th kingdom–2:40-45) taking shape in Europe.  That kingdom corresponds to the Beast of Revelation 17:1-5 which is being “ridden” by the Great Whore church called Mystery, Babylon which is presently gaining influence over it.

The Lord’s dealing with me in the ministerial sense began with His highlighting a specific statement made by Jesus as recorded in John 14:12.  I already knew that the statement was true, with this revelation I knew that it was true for me personally.  Please take the time to read verses 8-18 before continuing on in this message.  Let us focus on verse 12: “Verily, verily (surely, surely) I say unto you, HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME, THE WORKS THAT I DO, HE WILL DO ALSO, AND GREATER WORKS THAN THESE WILL HE DO BECAUSE I GO TO THE FATHER.”  His final six words are of utmost importance because they explain how a believer can do every work He did while on earth, and even greater works (signs, wonders and miracles).  In verse 12 He was telling His disciples that when He returned to the Father He would send the Holy Spirit to live within them.  He fulfilled that promise on the Day of Pentecost a short time after His resurrection.  It was only through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit that He, a man like all other men, was able to do what He did.  As He promised in Acts 1:4,5,8, the disciples would receive power after the Holy Spirit came on the.  That power would enable them to do everything He had done and even greater things.  The promise of God-level power made by Jesus in John 14:8-18 (specifically verse 12) were not new.  In fact, they are recorded in the first chapter of the Bible.  Let us return there.

In Genesis 1:26-28 we find Elohim (the two Gods of the Godhead) in conversation: “… Let Us make man in Our image and after Our likeness, and LET THEM HAVE DOMINION (DOMINANT POWER) OVER THE FISH OF THE SEA, AND OVER THE FOWLS OF THE AIR, AND OVER THE CATTLE, AND OVER ALL THE EARTH (ITSELF) AND OVER EVERY THING THAT MOVES ON THE EARTH.  SO GOD CREATED MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE, IN THE IMAGE OF GOD HE CREATED HIM, MALE AND FEMALE HE CREATED THEM.  AND GOD BLESSED THEM AND SAID TO THEM, ‘BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY, REPLENISH THE EARTH,  SUBDUE (CONTROL) IT AND HAVE DOMINION OVER THE FISH OF THE SEA, OVER THE FOWLS OF THE AIR AND OVER EVERY LIVING THING THAT MOVES UPON THE EARTH.”  In verse 31 God looked upon all that He and done and declared it “VERY GOOD.” If it was “very good” then it is “very good” now.

Notice that from the beginning GOD INTENDED FOR MAN TO RULE THE EARTH ALONG WITH EVERYTHING UNDER IT, ON IT AND ABOVE IT.  HE PLACED EVERYTHING UNDER MAN’S POWER AND CONTROL.  THAT WAS HIS WILL.  HE IS THE LORD, HE DOES NOT CHANGE.  HIS WILL FOR MAN HAS NOT CHANGED.  Those who love Him, believe Him and obey Him are under His original declaration of dominion which gives them the same dominion (power and control) over the earth itself, along with everything under the earth, on its surface, in the water and above the earth.  In the following posting I will prove this Truth Scripturally.

When God spoke to Daniel and John and showed them things that would take place at the end of the age, He told them to “seal up” what they had seen and heard.  He informed them that what He had shown and said to them would not be understood until the proper time–just before His return to earth.  At the appointed time He would reveal to His servants the meaning of the visions and words.  His messengers would, at that time, declare their meaning to the world.  Those with eyes to see and ears to hear would embrace the words and visions and react accordingly.

In the meantime the Lord had work to do. He–the Word (Jesus of Nazareth)–would come to earth to personally teach His Truths and demonstrate His power Israel.  It is this Truth and this (Holy Spirit) power that Jesus promised true believers (converted Israelites and Gentiles) that they would receive during the final days of the age.  We are living in those days.  This generation will see John 14:12 manifested in real time through the medium of television, the internet, etc.  Jesus promised His obedient and faithful believers that they will do not only what He did, but will do even greater things than He did.  And the entire world will watch those miracles, signs and wonders take place.  Everything is now in place for that prophecy to be manifested before the world.  We are living at the “time of the end.”

The Almighty began revealing these Truths to me many years ago.  But, with the exception of an occasional miracle, the time for their global revealing was always in the future.  I believe that He is telling me that the time is approaching when He will fulfill His prophecies for the entire world to see.  He will prove to the world that His Word is indeed Truth as Jesus said in John 17:17.  Some are predicting an end-time revival in which masses of people will “get saved.”  There could very well be a time of revival masses of people will “get religion.”  But it will be the Catholic/Protestant version of “Christianity” that they will embrace.  I am not a pessimist; I am a realist.  I know from Scripture and personal experience that when times get bad, people get religion.  There are two sayings that will apply to any last days revival: “There are no atheists in foxholes” and “Everybody gets saved in prison.”   L.J.
