We will now examine Satan’s effect and influence on human beings (usually carried out by his demons/devils) using three sets of facts: 1) his attacks on people are manifested in a wide variety of ways; 2) the effects of these attacks on people vary widely; 3) the outward manifestation of demonic influence does not necessarily reflect the seriousness of the situation.
Like the people they influence, manipulate or control, demons have different personalities, modes of operation and degrees of power. For example, when I was dealing with a woman who had 33 demons, one of them defiantly told me that “they” were not coming out. Realizing that I was dealing with more than one entity, I asked the speaker how many demons were in the woman. “Thirty-three” was his answer. Another characteristic of demons is that they communicate in different ways. For example, when the chief demon spoke the first time he did not speak to me directly, which is normally the case. Instead, he spoke to the woman, who then relayed the message. To my command for him to leave her, the woman said to me, “HE SAID they are not coming out.” Then when I asked how many demons there were in her, he replied directly to me, saying, “Thirty-three.” When I told him that they had no choice but to leave, they departed from her. She knew when and how they left her body–instantly and through her right nostril. Many of you do not accept the fact that demons affect church people. With extremely rare exception, the people out of whom I have cast demons have been church people. Belonging to a church, etc. does not make one God’s son to whom He has given power over Satan and his angels (Lk. 10:19).
Other demons display their presence physically when they leave by causing their host to vomit, scream, growl, spin around, etc. Some verbally and/or physically attack their their host, cause doors to open, cause lights to go on and off, etc. As powerful as these demons are, they are not the ones that concern me. It is the stealthy, subtle, sneaky devils who are evident only to true men of God that do the most damage. I am referring to the evil spirits that inhabit the members of the Institutional Church, who deceive them into rejecting portions of God’s Word, who entice them to follow false prophets, who fill both leaders and followers with fear and pride thereby preventing them from believing and obeying God’s Truth. Jesus described such people in Matthew 13:10-15. When asked by His disciples why He spoke to the people in parables, He replied: “… because seeing, they do not see, and hearing, they do not hear, neither do they understand (believe) …. For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest … they should be converted and I should heal (save) them.” In the Garden of Eden Satan himself convinced Adam and Eve to doubt God’s Words. Several thousand years later his demons convinced their spiritual descendants to doubt the Words of that same God. Being the descendants of Abraham, having God’s Temple, His Word and His priests to teach them His Word, and having just heard a sermon preached by the Son of God Himself, these people went away “knowing”–absolutely assured–that they were right with the Lord.
Satan has not changed his methods. Nor have religious people changed. Today, some two billion self-described “Christians” leave their temple each supposed Sabbath, having heard God’s supposed priest preach His supposed gospel. With extremely rare exception, they all head home to their favorite restaurant “knowing”–absolutely convinced–that they are one with the Lord. Jesus warns us in Matthew 7:20-23 that it is by our fruits (works) that we will be known by Him and the Father. He warns us that just calling Him our Lord will not suffice, that only those who DO THE WILL OF HIS FATHER will enter His kingdom. He warns us to “Be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, (thereby) deceiving yourselves” (Jam. 1:22). He warned the multitudes who had come from all over the land of Israel to hear Him (Mat. 5:1,2) that accepting Him as their Savior and doing wonderful works in His name meant nothing if they did not obey His Words. The message is the same for religious people today. He tells church people that, if they do not believe and obey His Word, when they stand before Him, HE WILL NOT “KNOW” THEM AND WILL CAST THEM FROM HIM. Question: Who has the power to entice people who have been in church all their lives, who “know” that they are saved and born again TO DOUBT AND REBEL AGAINST THE VERY ONE THEY CLAIM HAS SAVED THEM? Answer: SATAN AND HIS DEMONS. This is the demonic influence I am most concerned about. This website is dedicated to the enlightenment of the two billion plus “Christians” who “know” that they are one with the Lord because they have done what their hirelings, parents and friends have told them to do. They have been “active in church;” they have studied the Bible, prayed, fasted, witnessed, preached, missionaried, evangelized, tithed, built churches, baptized believers, etc., all the while treating God’s Word as simply a “guide book” to obey when it is expedient. To these people Jesus will utter the four most devastating words anyone will ever hear: “I NEVER KNEW YOU.” To be continued. L.J.
