Who Are “They Who Are Called According To His Purpose?” (Pt. 2)

“And we (true saints) know (not guess) that all (not some) things work for the good (God’s desire for His saints) to them (whosoever will) who love (not merely appreciate) God and are called (many) according to His (God’s) purpose (will for their lives)”–Rom. 8:28.  One word sums up God’s commanded purpose for His people–love.  Let us now consider with is involved in loving God.

Though love is a mental construct, it has physical applications.  If a man claims to love his wife but also has a girlfriend, his love falls considerably short.  True, he is home at night, brings in the bacon, keeps everything going family wise.  But allegiances are split.  Jesus commanded us to love God with ALL OUR HEART/MIND.  In the spiritual realm, if a man says he loves the Lord but serves His enemy, that man is deceiving himself (thanks to Satan’s manipulation of his thought process).  I have found that those who PROCLAIM their absolute love for God absolutely refuse to PROVE their love in ONE WAY ONLY–OBEY HIS LAW.  Satan’s popular “law nailed to the cross” ruse is the usual reason stated for disobeying God’s Law.  What was nailed to Christ’s cross was the “handwriting of ordinances” (Col. 2:14), meaning the sacrificial law Moses wrote with his own hand, made into a “book” and placed outside the Ark of the Covenant God had made with man.  He wrote man’s part of the covenant in stone with His own finger and placed them INSIDE the ark.  At the Last Supper Jesus declared the sacrificial law null and void.  It was symbolically nailed to His cross as He died on it.  His death ended its usefulness.  From that time onward, His blood would be the power that took away all of man’s sins in an instant, rendering him righteous–without sin..  As the Apostle Paul noted, the handwritten sacrificial law was “against us.”  The Law (Genesis to Revelation condensed into the Ten Commandments) is FOR US in that it shows us how to attain eternal life with the Godhead in the Kingdom of God, which is where They want all people to be.  The Law is Their expression of love for Their most important creation–mankind.  In short They are telling the entirety of mankind: PARADISE IS WHAT WE WANT FOR YOU; OBEDIENCE TO OUR LAW IS HOW YOU CAN HAVE WHAT WE WANT FOR YOU.  If Father and Son do not want human beings to spend eternity with Them, WHY DID THEY WRITE IN STONE THE EXACT INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNING HOW TO DO EXACTLY THAT AND PLACE THEM IN AN ARK THAT COULD NOT BE TOUCHED AND HIDE IT WHERE IT CANNOT BE DEFILED BY SATAN’S OPERATIVES?–THE COUNTERFEIT CHURCH.  “Come let us reason together” (Isa. 1:18).  “Can two walk together unless they agree?” (Amos 3:3).  Human reasoning and agreement with Almighty God brings any sane person to the conclusion that the Godhead’s desire is for the whole of mankind to spend eternity with Them in paradise.  Read The Resurrections (key word–Resurrections) to find out how those who have never heard of God will be given the opportunity to receive salvation.  Then ask yourself why would Father and Son go to all that trouble if They do not want the totality of mankind to join Them?

The formula for man to receive what the Godhead wants for him was plainly stated by Jesus of Nazareth when ask what was the most important commandment in the Law.  His reply says it all:  “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first and great(est) commandment.  And the second is like it.  You must love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE (WRITINGS OF) THE PROPHETS.”  Notice that in everything Jesus said while on earth, He never once so much as hinted about the Law being eliminated.  In fact He said that not one jot or tittle (like a period or apostrophe) shall be removed from the Law until it is fulfilled (in effect) throughout all the earth, which will take place during the Millennium which will follow  His Second Advent (coming).  Sadly, Satan has deceived billions of salvation seekers into following his prophets and their perverted gospel (Gal. 1:6-9) who, Paul said, were accursed (condemned).  For a few samples found in man’s perverted gospel read the Introduction to this website.

Now let us allow the Lord to be specific concerning in how we must prove our love for Him and keep Him loving us.  “You are My (loving) disciples IF YOU OBEY MY COMMANDMENTS” (Jn. 8:31).  “If you love Me, keep My commandments … Words” (Jn. 14P:15,23).  “If you would have (eternal) life, keep the commandments” (Mat. 19:17).  “If you keep My commandments you will abide in My love, just as I love the Father and (therefore) abide in His love” (Jn. 15:10).  Concerning loving God with all of one’s heart (mind), God said in Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Hebrews 8:8-12 that He would make a New Covenant with His people in which He would WRITE HIS LAW IN THEIR HEARTS, where love is found.  No obedience–no love for God–no salvation.

In Matthew 24 we find Jesus warning the disciples (and us) about what would take place just prior to His return.  In verse 12 He explains the relationship between Law-breaking (iniquity) and love for Him: “And because iniquity (Lawlessness) will abound, the love of many (for Him) will grow cold.”  Man reveals is love for God by His obedience to His Law.  Rejection of His Law and rejection of Him are one and the same.  Jesus voiced this Truth as recorded in Luke 10:16 where He said that rejection of His Word (Law/commandments) proved that those who will not hear His Word (Law) spoken by His messengers DESPISES BOTH HIMSELF AND HIS FATHER.  The Bible is God in print.  Jesus was God in human form.  Rejection of any part of Their Word equates to rejection of the Godhead.

Therefore, His purpose for man is for man to love Him enough to obey His Law (Genesis to Revelation) by obeying His Ten Commandments.  Their reward is unspeakable.  On the other hand, to break one of the commands is to break all of them (Jam. 2:10), making oneself a “worker of INIQUITY” (Lawlessness) whom Jesus will tell to “depart from Me” on Judgment Day (Lk. 13:27).

God governs His people by His Law, specifically, by their their reaction to that Law.  Their obedience or disobedience to it reveals their love for Him or the lack thereof.  Those who obey it are those who have answered His called to fulfill His purpose (Rom. 8:28), which is “to be conformed to the (spiritual) image of His Son” (vs 29).  That, dear reader, is the ONLY PROOF OF ONE’S LOVE FOR THAT GOD WILL ACCEPT.  L.J.
