Who And Where Is Israel Today (Pt. 8)
Moses has led the children of Israel, along with a multitude of Gentiles, out of the land of their woes. The Gentiles would soon become spiritual Israelites by marrying into the different tribes, embracing and obeying their God, making them His “chosen people,” part of His “church in the wilderness” (Acts 7:38). This process has not changed. In order for a Gentile to join God’s family, he/she must become a spiritual Jew/Israelite by embracing the Jewish Messiah and obeying His Word.
After the 3,000,000 or so freed people had crossed the Red Sea and walked to Mt. Sinai, God spoke to them in an audible voice, making them a nation and establishing them as His people. Almost immediately they rejected Him by demanding that Moses speak to them instead of the Lord Himself. They did not want to hear His voice. Nothing has changed–the modern church has rejected His voice (Words), preferring instead the voice of men who are programmed by Satan to teach a perverted gospel. Because the people did not believe God’s Words, He made them wander for 40 years in the desert of Sin before allowing them to enter the land of Canaan–home of the Canaanites, the descendants of Ham. These were heathen people with whom God forbad the Israelites to have social or spiritual dealings.
After living some 400 years in Egypt the Israelites entered Canaan, forced the Canaanites out and settled into the land God had promised their father Abraham. Let us look at what He had done for them: He had brought them out of slavery with much wealth, dried up the Red Sea so that they could cross on dry land, miraculously provided them with food and drink, dried up the Jordan River, destroyed Jericho, enabled them to defeat the Canaanites–including the giants that populated the land–and provided food and drink for them during the 40 years of wandering. In spite of all this, the people once again rebelled against Him, demanding that He give them a king to “rule over us” so that they could be like the heathen. They rejected the judges God had set over them through whom He communicated with them. They did not want Samuel, the last judge/prophet of Israel, speaking to them because he spoke God’s Words. The people wanted to hear man’s words. Nothing has changed–church people still insist on hearing man’s words every sun god worship day (Sunday) when they join other heathen in paying homage to Tammuz, also known as Baal. Then, in accordance with the doctrines and customs of their heathen brethren, churchites pay homage to the mother of Tammuz/Baal whose ancient name was Ishtar. This is the popular woman the modern world calls by her Anglicized name– Easter–the goddess of fertility who turned a chicken into an egg-laying rabbit, caused her minions to sacrifice their children to her, then use their blood to color the rabbit’s eggs. Over 3,000,000 heathen continue this annual custom, believing that they are honoring the Biblical Messiah by observing His resurrection. The “Sunrise Services” conducted in His name honors Tammuz–the sun god–by watching the sun rise on “Easter morning.” The celebrations of Easter and Christmas are the two most popular idolatrous acts the Institutional Church has embraced.
The Lord, angry for being rejected by the Israelites, gave them a king named Saul whose heart was not right with Him. After killing off Saul and his sons, God raised up David of the Tribe of Judah and gave him and his posterity the Scepter of power. At this point the Almighty established the world’s first monarchy. Unknown to only a few people, this monarchy continues to this day. More on the monarchy and the Scepter it possesses later. L.J.
