Who And Where Is Israel Today?I have been a student of the Bible as long as I have been able to read. I thank God that my family had no written material available so that my insatiable hunger for the written word could be satisfied by only one thing–my mother’s Bible. When the Sunday School teacher asked that we children read verses, I read chapters. I did not understand much of what I was reading but there was always that yearning to know what was written in that worn, black Book. Problems began to spring up when I noticed that much of what I was reading did not agree with what I was hearing from the pulpit and lectern. This inner turmoil lasted until the Lord opened my heart (mind) and gave me eyes to see and ears to hear HIS WORD, causing me to reject most of the religious food I was being fed by Satan’s false prophets.
One of the major shocks the Lord administered to my faith system was the fact that the United States of America and the British Empire were the two most mentioned nations in the Bible–some 25oo times by my counting. An even deeper shock came when I realized that they were called by another name–Israel. This will probably come as a shock to most of you. Less than 1% of the people who are shown this Bible Truth accept it because “That’s not what I have always been taught.” I was always taught the same thing. But we must reach a point in our spiritual lives when we obey God’s command to “Study to show yourself approved of God” (2 Tim. 2:15). Note that the Apostle Paul was giving this command to the Apostle Timothy. Even an established minister of God must continue to study His Word lest he be led astray by Satan. Two major religious bodies (Catholicism and Protestantism) and hundreds of religious offshoots (denominations) have come into being because church men and women refuse to obey God’s command to study His Word for themselves, believe what they read and obey it. Many a religious super star will find him/herself being told by Jesus: “I never knew you, depart from Me ….” (Mat. 7:23) on the day of judgment because they refused to obey Paul’s Words to Timothy. God, through Paul, also commands us to “Prove all things” relative to spiritual matters (1 Thes. 5:21). Refusing to do this, “proof” of spiritual truth has become whatever one wants truth to be. Let us seek God’s Truth concerning the subject of this series by STUDYING His Word and PROVING His Truth Scripturally. Godly Truth can come from no other source.
That the biological descendants of ancient Israel make up the majority of people found in the United States of America, Britain and the other so-called “Christian nations” scattered throughout Europe will be proved using the Old Testament, New Testament, Bible prophecy, secular history and current events. The Old and New Testaments record for us the history of ancient Israel through approximately 100 A.D., ending with the writing of the Book of Revelation. Prophecy from both testaments tells us what has happened since, what is happening now and what will happen in the future. Secular history begins where the New Testament ends and reveals to us that some of those prophecies have already come to pass. Current events remind us that other prophecies are taking place at this time.
In summary, we are living in the final days of this age. Both the church world and the secular world are facing the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord–3 1/2 years of terror such as the world has never experienced. Only a few, God tells us in Matthew 7:13,14, will believe and obey His Word and be taken to a place of safety where they will be protected and provided for during that most horrendous of times (Rev. 12:14). I hope that you are of those “few” who “find” His “strait gate” and walk His “narrow way” leading to His kingdom. L.J.
