As I have said and written numerous times, Isaiah 28:9-13 proclaims God’s method for studying His Word.  The prophet begins with an important question: “To whom can He (God) teach knowledge?”  He then tells us how to learn the ways of God–twice.  So why does professing Christendom refuse to do so?  Why do her parishioners choose to depend on their hirelings to “So Do” for them?  Because those same false prophets have convinced them that they do not need to “study to show themselves approved of God,” that God is thrilled if, after spending the previous five hours watching Satan’s people perform on t.v., they graciously award Him (God) the last few minutes of their waning consciousness for a “now I lay me down to sleep” level prayer and a little Bible reading–maybe even a whole chapter if they are feeling especially religious.  After all, as I was told recently when I corrected a Biblical quote uttered by an ordained minister, church people are SAVED and SEALED and therefore guaranteed a future in heaven.  So why sacrifice those primetime hours?   The minister who “corrected” my exact quote of Matthew 24:24 refused to listen to God’s Truth which states that even His Very Elect are subject to being deceived and can fail to make the cut.  Note that the words it were are written in ITALLICS because they were not in the original text, but were added by translators/interpreters.  Read The Sealing of God’s Elect: Permanent or Conditional?  Key word–Permanent.  Instructions for downloading a series are found in the NOTICE section of the Introduction to this website.  Also found there are instructions for receiving a list of series titles.

Is it true that once-sealed means always-sealed?  Listen to how God answers the question:  “MY PEOPLE are DESTROYED for LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.  Because you (His chosen people) have REJECTED KNOWLEDGE, I WILL REJECT YOU ….”(Hos. 4:6).  Notice that God was addressing HIS PEOPLE–HIS NATION OF “PRIESTS”–who were being DESTROYED BECAUSE OF A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.  And bear in mind that they had to go to the Temple or to a synagogue to HEAR His Word read to them.  What does this say to people who have access to the Holy Scriptures 24/7/365? and remain deliberately ignorant of His Word?  God is telling us that ignorance of His Word does not excuse us for disobeying it.  Even the Very Elect will be held accountable.  Let us study His Holy Word, learn it, believe it and obey it and thereby remain in His good graces–AS DID JESUS OF NAZARETH.

Now we will delve even deeper into God’s “fine print” in order to show a side of God that only a minutely few people are aware and even fewer accept.  In 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 we find Paul writing to the church at Thessalonica, warning them about some false Christians among them who were drawing people away from God, doing so “with all deceiveableness of unrighteousness.”  These church people would “PERISH BECAUSE THEY DID NOT LOVE THE TRUTH (God’s Word–Jn. 17:17) SO THAT THEY MIGHT BE SAVED.  Notice that these church people would be rejected by God “for this cause” (vs 11)–THEY DID NOT LOVE THE TRUTH (vs 10).  Now notice what God would do (and has done to the whole of professing Christendom) because they rejected His Word/Law/Truth–“And for this cause “GOD WOULD SEND THEM STRONG DELUSION SO THAT THEY WOULD BELIEVE A LIE AND BE DAMNED BECAUSE THEY DID NOT BELIEVE THE TRUTH, BUT TOOK PLEASURE IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS” (vss 11,12).  Who takes pleasure in sin and draws others to follow their example?  SINNERS SAVED BY GRACE–Satan’s premier advertising agents.  Who is it that call themselves SSBG?  Catholics and Protestants.

These people do not go unnoticed.  Notice Who sends them STRONG DELUSION–God Himself.  Notice that He sends them, not merely delusion, but STRONG delusion.  This is why church people so adamantly refuse to hear God’s Truth, even going into a rage in some cases.  The pride Satan has instilled within SSBG is extremely powerful.  I have had church people call me vile names and lecture me as to why their church’s “truth” is superior to God’s Truth.  According to them, I have fallen from grace and need to come to their church so I can get saved.  And what is my sin?  I believe God’s Word.  In the eyes of the church, there is no greater sin.  They will receive their just rewards.  As I have said many times, if one wants to commit spiritual suicide God will supply the tree, the rope, the stool and the foot to kick it.  Jesus, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, is warning those who reject His Word–thereby proving that they despise Him and His Father (Lk. 10:16)–that their uber-religiosity means nothing to Him.  SSBG are in the same spiritual category as Satan and his devils (demons).  Satan actually ranks higher because there is no pretense in him.  Unlike his church members, he hates God and His Word openly.

Would God actually send those in His church STRONG DELUSION so that they would believe Satan’s lies?  Yes indeed.  Turn with me to 1 Kings 22:22,23 and 2 Chronicles 18:21,22.  Here we find that Israelite King Ahab has rejected the word of God’s holy prophet Micaiah.  Why?  Because Ahab was evil and listened to his prophets who prophesied that he would win an upcoming military battle.   Micaiah says about them: “Now therefore, behold, THE LORD HAS PUT A LYING SPIRIT IN THE MOUTH OF ALL YOUR (AHAB’S) PROPHETS ….” (vs 23) to cause him to fail.  Yes, you read it correctly: ALMIGHTY GOD CAUSES SATAN’S FALSE PROPHETS (PASTORS, SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS, EVANGELISTS, MISSIONARIES, ETC.) TO LIE TO THOSE WHO REFUSE TO BELIEVE AND OBEY HIS WORDS FOUND IN THE HOLY BIBLE.  For clarity, notice in verse 22 what God said to the lying spirit: “You shall persuade him (Ahab) and succeed in deceiving him.  Go forth and do so.”  Ahab was the king of God’s chosen people Israel.  God is no respecter of persons.  What He did to unbelievers who called themselves by His name in days of old He does today to those who call themselves “Christians” while refusing to obey His Law.

I offer another example of God doing what the masses do not believe He will do.  This God-taught lesson is found in Deuteronomy 13:1-4.  Here God warns us that if a prophet performs a miracle in His (God’s) name, then asks his audience to honor another god (join a church), “I the Lord am testing you to see if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you will walk after the Lord your God and fear Him and keep His commandments (Law) and obey His voice (Holy Spirit) and serve Him and cling to Him” (vss 3,4).  God wants to know if we will follow a miracle worker into a Catholic or Protestant Church or go with God’s Word.  Most people “know” that God would not perform a miracle through a false prophet, therefore whatever the miracle worker says must be of the Lord, as is the church he represents.  Wrong on both counts.  Recall that Judas preached the Gospel, healed the sick and cast out demons–JUUDAS WAS A THIEF AND A TRAITOR.  Read All That Glitters.  Key word–Glitters.

God is not the jolly old sugar Daddy waiting to forgive the sins of His supposed followers.  Jesus is no longer the sweet baby of manger fame.  Remember, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Heb. 10:31).  Notice that Paul is writing to Hebrew Christians.  Turn with me now to Hebrews 10:26.  Let us remember God’s definition of sin: “To transgress the Law is sin, for SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW” (1 Jn. 3:4).  Now let us read what God’s #1 Scripture writer says to us concerning deliberately rejecting God’s Law by “nailing it to the cross.”  “For if we (Paul included) willfully sin (break God’s Law) after being taught the Truth about the Law there remains no sacrifice for sin (Christ’s sacrifice does not work–church sinners are not His “friends”–Jn. 15:13,14–nor His spiritual “brethren”–Mat. 12:46-50).  Paul goes on to say that if we break God’s Law we “trod the Son of God under foot, count the blood He shed as an unholy thing and despise the Holy Spirit” (vs 29).  It is indeed a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a vengeance-filled God (vs 31).

The Words of the God of the Holy Bible and His Christ are not preached in Satan’s citadels of sin by his prophets on Sun god day–Sunday.  If you are in one of them, you must obey God and “come out of her and be separated from her; … do not touch that unclean thing.”  Let us be “SO DOING.”  Read 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1.  L.J.
