Jesus Christ is called the Author and Finisher of true Christian faith (Heb. 12:2). As a man He showed us how to appropriated true faith from God the Father, live it and perfect it. By arranging to have His way and walk recorded by Bible writers, He reveals to us how to appropriate Scripture-based faith, live it and perfect it. In order to do this Jesus must, in a spiritual sense, “live in us.” But the Scriptures tell us that Jesus lives in heaven with the Father (Col. 3:1). So how does He live in us? Through His Holy Spirit–the power of God (Lk. 1:35)–the same power by which man receives faith, knowledge, revelation, Truth, etc. from the Lord. The expression, “Christ in you the hope of glory” shows us that Jesus Christ lives in the saint in the form of His and His Father’s Holy Spirit which the angel Gabriel defined as God’s power. For a believer to have any hope of receiving eternal life (“glory”) the Holy Spirit must live in him. Proof of the presence of the Spirit in one’s life is found in one’s belief in and obedience to the Word of God, which is foundation of godly faith (Rom. 10:17). The Holy Spirit is given to the true seeker of Truth to enable him to believe and obey God’s Word generally and the Ten Commandments specifically. It is a wonderful circle–God’s Word, His Holy Spirit, His power, His faith–all work in unison to enable the believer to receive salvation at the return of Jesus Christ.
In Galatians 2:20 the Apostle Paul clearly stated that Jesus Christ lived in him and enabled him to live the life he lived–walk the walk of Christ (1 Jn. 2:6). In Romans 8:9 he stated: “You (Galatian church members) are not in the flesh but in the Spirit IF the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man (including churchman) does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.” Notice that the Holy Spirit is called both the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ. Their Spirit is their jointly possessed power (Lk. 1:35)–the same power They give to the true God-seeker. Without that Spirit/power one does not have God as his Father or Jesus as his Savior, but is in fact a counterfeit Christian. THUS SAYS THE LORD. See The Trinity.
Paul, through the faith given him by the Lord, lived an overcoming life. The mind of Christ lived in him. We can have that same overcoming faith. Indeed we must have that faith, for we must overcome Satan in order to join Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God (Rev. 3:21). This Truth is believed and acted upon only by those with “an ear to hear what God (through His Spirit) is saying to the churches.”
Dear reader, this is life and death information that comes directly from the divine Word of God. He spoke those Words to His prophets and apostles and enables us to read them in the pages of His Holy Bible. In order to receive eternal life one must not only reject all church teachings to the contrary (most are contrary to God’s Word), but must leave that false church, divest oneself of all its false teachings, learn the Truth of God, believe it and obey it. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY. For this reason God declared in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18: “Be you (church members) not unequally yoked together with unbelievers (in the church), for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness? and what concord has Christ with Belial (Satan)? or what part has he that believes with an infidel? and what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, ‘I will live in them and walk in them, and I will be their God and they will be My people.’ Therefore, COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM (CATHOLICISM/PROTESTANTISM) AND BE SEPARATE (FROM THEM), SAYS THE LORD, AND TOUCH NOT (VSS 14,15) THE UNCLEAN THING AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU AND WILL BE A FATHER TO YOU AND YOU WILL BE MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS.”
God’s message could not be more clear: COME OUT OF SATAN’S CHURCH SYSTEM AND LIVE.
