Visions Of Unholiness: Prelude To Rebellion (Pt. 1)

Contrary to the supposed “Bible Truth” we have been taught, human beings do not have Adam’s sin gene in their spiritual dna at birth.  Adam’s sin transferal miracle is nothing more than wishful thinking on the part of sin-addicted church people who, unwilling to deny Satan control over their lives, have embraced the teaching of a North African priest who formulated the heresy as an excuse for baptizing children.  Read Human Nature, key word–“Nature.”  Augustine’s theory, which gave church people an excuse for sinning, caught on quickly and soon became “Bible Truth” throughout the Catholic Church.  The Protestants took the convenient “truth” with them when they left the mother church “in protest.”  Fact: Martin Luther and his followers did not leave the Catholic Church over doctrinal matters.  The protesters left due to the personal actions of the priests.  As the Introductory page to this website clearly shows, Catholics and Protestants continue to cling to the same foundational “truths” until this day.  One of those undisputable “truths” is called “Original Sin”–the belief that when seed and egg unite the resulting zygote receives a sin gene from each parent, thereby making sin a “natural” part of a new-born’s life.  The theory is that one can never get rid of the gene.  However, simply by accepting Jesus as one’s Savior, one’s inevitable sins do not matter.  I composed a ditty that speaks to this heresy: “Sin and grin my friend, for in the end, you still will.  Pie in the sky, sin till you die, cause in the sweet by and by, you’ll still get to fly.”  I propose that this be adopted as the anthem for Satan’s Counterfeit (Catholic/Protestant) Church System

As with human life itself, human sin began in the Garden of Eden.  In that “sin is the transgression of the Law” (1 Jn. 3:4), and in that “where there is no Law, there is no transgression” (Rom. 4:15; 5:13), Adam and Eve’s sin entailed the breaking of God’s Law.  The same rules hold true of angels, one-third of whom sinned (broke God’s Law) and became devils.  Their leader–Lucifer (“light-bearer”)–led them into iniquity (Lawlessness) and became Satan (God’s enemy).  The moral of this mini-lesson is that SIN IS THE END RESULT OF DELIBERATELY BREAKING GOD’S LAW; it is not the NATURAL OUTCOME of HUMAN conception.  The Satan-generated theory known as Original Sin has caused immeasurable misery, destruction and death within the church community since being embraced by that community many centuries ago.  Like the Rapture Theory, Original Sin is nothing more than a figment of human imagination.  Read The Rapture, key term–“Rapture.”  (See this website’s Introduction page under the word “NOTICE” for instructions concerning how to download a series such as The Rapture, Human Nature, etc.)  In order to understand how Adam and Eve became sinners we will briefly examine the first recorded instance of human conversation.

In Genesis 3 we find Eve having a conversation with a being called “the Serpent” who spoke the same language she spoke and probably looked human.  The serpent asked Eve if she and Adam were allowed to eat of every tree in the Garden of Eden.  She explained that there was a particular tree in the center of the garden whose fruit was off limits.  She added that to even touch the fruit would bring about their deaths.  The Serpent assured her that such was not the case, that they could defy God’s explicit command and “… not surely die.”  In other words, because of their close relationship with God they could ignore His command and enjoy eternal life.  Sound familiar?  I will now insert an aside relative to the “touching” part of God’s Rules of Engagement.

Some believe that Eve’s “touch” statement was her personal addition to God’s Law.  However, that same God would later address the subject through the Apostle James (1:14-16).  Here James is writing to his “beloved brethren” in God’s church, warning them that, in God’s eyes, sin begins in the heart (mind) before it is played out in the flesh.  In the focal verses he warns his fellow Christians that “every man is TEMPTED (TO SIN) when he is DRAWN AWAY BY HIS OWN LUST AND ENTICED.”  At this point in the Satan’s temptation-to-man’s sin process, no sin has been committed.  James continues: “Then, when (man’s) lust has CONCEIVED (embraced the temptation–conception) it (conception) produces mental sin which produces instant spiritual death by separating the sinner from God (Isa. 59:2).  If sin is not eradicated from the life of the sinner, he/she will eventually die physically and be burned to ash following judgment (Eze. 28:18/ Mal. 4:3).  I believe that the word “touch” in Eve’s statement refers to the temptation-lust-conception-sin process outlined by James in the focal verses.  This process includes thinking about the act, talking about it, going to the location where the sin can take place, performing the preliminary actions, and of course, following through with the act.  Each of these steps follows “conception” and is a sin in and of itself.  No doubt Adam and Eve thought about and discussed the option the Serpent had presented.  After all, his idea was much more pleasing and self-serving than God’s strict command.  Also, and equally as important, the outcome was the same–eternal life in paradise.  SIN WAS PRODUCED THE MOMENT THEY DECIDED TO EAT THE FRUIT.  Even if they had never physically partaken of the fruit, they had already sinned simply by deciding to do so.  Like the example the God of Eden would later use when teaching His disciples, when sexual lust reaches the level of envisioning having sex with a woman, the act has already occurred in his heart (Mat. 5:28).  At that point Satan has already buried his man-pleasing, God-rejecting talons into the heart of his willing “victim.”  Note: “Abel” undoubtedly experienced the same temptation from the same Serpent as had his brother Cain.  Each man had a choice of visions (spiritual “voices”).  Abel chose God’s vision while Cain chose Satan’s vision (Gen. 4:1-16).  Note which one Jesus called “righteous” (Mat. 22:35).

Notice James’ warning to his beloved brethren: “DO NOT ERR.”  Church people are commanded to “flee” Satan’s temptation to sin upon its arrival.  They must immediately cast the thought out of their minds (1 Cor. 6:18; 10:14/ 1 Tim. 6:11/ 2 Tim. 2:22/ Jam. 4:7).  In this way they will not “touch” the temptation by entertaining it.  Doing so allows it to combine with a desire and “conceive,” thereby producing a sin.  James’ warning was/is directed toward true Christians, not one of whom is immune to the wiles of the devil.  Many a God seeker has been seduced due to ignorance of the ways and wiles of the devil (Eph. 6:11).  We must recognize and diligently resist the inevitable temptations he sends our way, EXACTLY AS DID THE MAN JESUS (Heb. 4:15).  Though He was a man, “He was tempted in all points like as we are, YET WITHOUT SIN” (Heb. 4:15).  Only those who overcome the devil AS HE DID will join Him on His throne (Rev. 3:21).  As He warns us in 1 Peter 5:8,9: “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, goes about seeking whom he may devour.”  We are commanded to “resist him in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions (temptations) are being experienced by your brethren who are in the world.”  I have a message from God for the 2 1/2 billion self-described “Sinners Saved By Grace” who claim that they must give in to Satan.   Jesus said that He gives to His true saints “… power over all the power of the enemy” (Lk. 10:19).  The lack of temptation-rejecting power is a deliberate, self-inflicted wound.  What, one might ask, does all this have to do with a vision?  Everything.

The Almighty had given to Adam and Eve a vision of the holiness (His Law) which He required them to emulate in order to live eternally in paradise.  This Vision of Holiness showed them how to live in a state of holiness through obedience to His Law and thereby qualify for entrance into the Kingdom of God upon Christ’s return.  L.J.
