Seven decades ago noted writer and philosopher George Orwell penned a statement that has proven to be true:  “At a time of universal deceit, speaking the truth is a revolutionary act.”  Orwell was referring specifically to the social and political condition of the world’s human population at a future time–during the 1980’s.  In his book titled 1984, which was published in 1949, Orwell described a future global scenario in which one was not allowed to have a personal opinion, personal preferences, etc.  In his “Orwellian” world of the future (1984), the word “personal” was rejected relative to one’s opinion about anything.  Not only were one’s individual thoughts, preferences, ideas, etc. not to be voiced or written, they were not allowed to exist.  One was labeled the enemy of the state if one deviated, even silently, from the one and only body of “truth.”

THE TRUTH all people were forced to accept was provided by a larger-than-life figure known as “Big Brother.”  Big Brother personified the all-encompassing, all-powerful, all-knowing “State.”  The brain-washed, totally-controlled minions within the global State were programmed from birth to think only what the State told them to think, say what the State told them to say and do what the State told them to do.  And in that everything began in the mind, such programming  created what Orwell called “group-think” which automatically resulted in group-speak and group-act.  Not surprisingly, Big Brother formulated group-thought and enforced group-speak and group-act.  As stated in the book and later the movie, religion was outlawed except on one level–the individual was forced to worship, fear and serve one “god”–the State.  So powerful and so complete was the individual’s brainwashing by Big Brother that to deviate from his “truth” brought on severe self-condemnation on the part of the human automaton.

At this point I will take the liberty of using my own personal experience as an example of a real Big Brother, group-think, group-speak and group-act situation that not only thrives beneath the surface of human consciousness, but has been operating full-force for thousands of years.  Having been “born and raised in the church,” I was totally indoctrinated relative to church “truths” from an early age.  One of the most powerfully enforced “truths” involved the Sunday Sabbath.  Sunday church was not an option for those in “the church,” it was commanded.  One Sunday during the cotton harvest I stayed home from church to help my father get in the last of the cotton because rain had been forcasted for the following day.  As I watched my mother head up the lane on her way to church I experienced an deep level of condemnation that would last for several weeks.  I “knew” I had disobeyed God, and that He was punishing me for doing so.

Many years later, having learned the Truth about God’s commanded 7th day (Saturday) Sabbath, I came to understand the power Satan exercises over his church system.  I also came to realize that the Institutional Church has a spiritual being that rules her as completely and in the same way as did Orwell’s Big Brother.  The church’s all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful Big Brother is her real life lord and master–Satan.   As did the Old Testament “ecclesia” (congregation) during the times of the prophets, the New Testament church has been living Orwell’s nightmare on the spiritual level for some 1700 years.  Read Simon of Samaria–the Legacy to learn when and how the church’s spiritual Big Brother gained control of professing Christendom.  Key word–Simon.

The 12 apostles went to their deaths fighting a two-fronted war.  They continuously did battle with the Jews on the one hand and the false church on the other.  The Apostle Paul focused on false religion within the early church in his letter to the churches of Galatia as recorded in chapter 1, verses 6-9.  Satan’s false prophets had already (48-58 A.D.) perverted God’s gospel and had gathered a following within the Lord’s church.  Big Brother was still experiencing success.

The primary theme throughout Orwell’s futuristic book was the fact that people were so indoctrinated that one would not allow oneself to think outside the state’s “group think” parameters.  The people had bought into what the State was peddling.  They were self-disciplined to the point that they believed themselves to be wrong simply by thinking, speaking and acting in any way that Big Brother (the State) did not approve.  Mass “brain-washing” was so complete that no one dared allow him/herself to deviate from State mandates.

When Orwell’s classic was first taking the world by storm it was believed to be total fiction.  Everyone “knew” that the nightmare he had created could never materialize.  Little did the world know that it had been living the nightmare for many generations, only on a different level of consciousness.  I read 1984 during the middle 1960’s and, like the rest of mankind, viewed it as pure fiction.  However, being a keen observer of human nature and having become a student of and a believer in the Bible AS IT WAS WRITTEN, I came to realize that Orwell’s nightmare had been existence for many generations IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM.

Truly, we are today living in a time of UNIVERSAL INSTITUTIONALIZED SPIRITUAL DECEIT.  Satan so completely controls the mind (“heart”) of church-enslaved man that anyone who does not embrace his (Satan’s) religious group-think (aka church doctrine) is to be avoided, shunned and ostracized.  Any speaking or writing of God’s Biblical Truth is considered a revolutionary act directed by Satan.  NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE DEVIL’S POWER.  As a result of his control over the minds of his people, they not only remain ignorant of his wiles, they refuse to entertain possibility of being wrong.  As a result they live in total spiritual darkness.   However, God has assigned me the task of shining His light of (Biblical) Truth on their false truths (church doctrines), which He calls “darkness.”  And in that their hirelings (Jn. 10:12,13) present Satan’s “darkness” as God’s “light” (Truth), Jesus was compelled by the Father to address the deadly deception in Matthew 6:2 “… if therefore the light (“truth”) that is in you is darkness (lies), HOW GREAT IS THAT DARKNESS.”  He also noted that the majority of religious people “love darkness more than light” (Jn. 3:19).

Admittedly, when I learned God’s Truth I assumed that my super-religious family would whole-heartedly embrace it.  Reality raised its ugly head immediately.  I realized early on that Satan is in absolute control of professing Christendom.  The shock of my family’s rejection of God’s Word, and therefore God Himself (Lk. 10:16), soon wore off.  Now I am shocked when a church member believes what I show them in the Book he/she owns and calls “the word of God.”  The Almighty preserved that Book “… for our instruction” (1 Cor. 10:11).  Note that Paul identified who “our” referred to as those “upon whom the end of the world has come”–THE END-TIME GENERATION.  I learned early on that those in darkness hate the light because it reveals the power the devil exerts over them (Col. 1:13).  Note that Paul was writing to the church about the church.  Nothing has changed.  God’s Words continue to fall on deaf, though super-spiritual ears.

This website exposes conventional religious “truths” for what they are by comparing them to God’s Biblical Truths (Jn. 17:17).  With rare exception, each of the 1800 or so postings I have produced over the past several years has exposed the Institutional Church’s heathen agenda with its numerous Babylonian Mystery Religion beliefs, customs and practices, some of which are listed on the Introduction page of the website.  With the exception of a tiny group of true believers–God’s “remnant”–Satan has deceived the church world into following him (Rev. 12:9).  Read Bait and Switch.  Key word–Bait.

Let us now look to the Word (light) of God for instruction and inspiration as to how to conduct ourselves in this era of universal deceit so as to become revolutionaries.  Ironically, it is those within “the church” who are the most critical of the Lord’s Word/Law/light.  As He stated, those in darkness hate the light because it exposes their darkness.

In the following postings we will begin by looking back to days of old for inspiration and instruction as to how to conduct ourselves in the face of the numerical superiority enjoyed by Satan, his prophets and his church system.  For our example will use the Prophet Elijah and his war against King Ahab and the prophets of Baal to guide us in our continuous war against the darkness Satan puts forth as God’s light.  As Jesus warned us when asked about the days leading up to His return, Satan’s false ministers to try to deceive us by wrapping his church lies in God’s Truths (Mat. 24:4,5).  As will be revealed in this series, the enemy is the same and the techniques he uses are the same as anciently.  Only the names of his victims have changed.    L.J.
