As I watch the well-earned tributes to those who gave their all for my beloved country, and especially to those who paid the ultimate price to defend her, tears are flowing because I know what is coming upon her, and why. The “what” saddens me beyond words; the “why” angers me to the point of desperation.
Some 200+ years ago the Lord gave this wonderful land to the descendants of Joseph’s son Manasseh. He established it to serve as a spiritual light to the rest of the world. Many centuries earlier He had placed our original ancestors in the Garden of Eden for the purpose of creating an Eden-like world–a light for those who would come later. In both cases free-willed, Satan-embracing man turned light into darkness, sin being the common denominator.
Throughout the more recent past God has punished this nation repeatedly in an attempt to turn her from her sins and back to Him. But even as He poured out his wrath of correction in ever more deadly ways, her citizens refused to believe that the catastrophes that continued to come upon them were caused by their sins, that God was punishing her for her rebellion against Him. Being a super-religious nation, they “knew” that sin was inevitable because of Adam, and that Jesus died so that they could sin and get away with it. The cause of her problems could not be sin on their part.
Of late God’s warnings to the nation to turn from her ever-increasing wickedness and walk the path of righteousness have become exponentially more deadly and wider spread. The first world war should have been a wake-up call for America. Her victory only elevated the people’s sense of self-importance and national power. She was no longer dependent on God. America became her own god. The “Roaring Twenties” revealed the depth of sin into which the nation had sunk since the church-filling, prayer-producing “Great War” ended. Loosed from the restrictive bonds imposed by the God of her forefathers, the nation began her rapid and steep slide into Satan’s abyss.
Then came World War II in which resulted in the deaths of multiplied millions of people and the destructions of whole nations. The lesson the Lord taught during those terrible deadly years was learned and taken to heart by only a minutely few. The victory He brought about caused the nation’s masses to look at themselves as the reason for it. Pride continued to fill the minds of the vast majority of Americans.
Then came Korea as God once again went into his teaching-through-disaster mode. Though America lost that war, she still did not learn what He was teaching. Losing again in Vietnam failed to humble the haughty American spirit. As a result, this nation is now in the longest war in her history with no end in sight. God is speaking but America is not listening. She is too busy staring into her hand-held idiot boxes to notice the canyon she is about to fall into.
And the so-called church is leading the charge by putting forth a perverted gospel that is diametrically opposite of the Word of the Lord. At present, over three billion people are walking blindly into Satan’s church system each Sunday, totally oblivious to the errors they hear therein. Being ignorant of God’s Word and rejecting it when they stumble across it, they dine on the lie that the devil continually feeds them. He has convinced them that because they belong to “the church” they are saved, born again and ready for the rapture.
For many years the Lord has been warning the nation through wars and so-called “natural disasters” to reject institutional religion (Catholicism/Protestantism) and to look to His Word as the path that would lead her back to her once exalted position.
Because of America’s refusal to hear God’s voice she is now experiencing the weather disasters He warned about in His Holy Scriptures. Still man does not hear His “voice.” Invasion by the heathen masses has failed to snap Americans out of their spiritual and mental fog. For this reason the Lord has turned His back on her, leaving her to her own devices. One need only look at the political fiasco playing out daily on the news media to realize that our once-blessed nation is on her way down.
God blesses obedience and curses disobedience. With every passing day the United States draws farther away from Him and closer to Satan. For this reason He no longer saves us from ourselves. With the nation of Israel being our prime example, Bible believers know that America is headed toward military defeat, slaughter and the enslavement of the survivors. A day is coming, and soon, when the once great United States of America will be nothing but a memory, a byword and a puzzlement. The rest of the world will wonder how a people who had been given so much could casually throw it all away? Why is God pouring out His wrath on America. He tells us: God is not mocked, what one sows, one reaps. America has sown the wind of sin. She is now reaping the whirlwind of destruction. It is with the greatest of sadness that I say: I HAVE LOVED YOU WITH ALL MY HEART, MY BEAUTIFUL LAND. REST IN PEACE. L.J.
