Spiritual change initiated by anyone other than God Himself is condemned. So says the Lord. Any change in man’s spiritual “walk” (life-1 Jn. 2:6) is “abnormal” in the eyes of the Almighty. Any change man makes in his spiritual “normal” is always self-serving and is therefore automatically deemed “good.” Any change that man deems “good” is automatically attributed to God and quickly becomes professing Christendom’s “new normal.” When that happens those who cling to God’s “normal” are considered heretics who have fallen from grace–of which I have been accused.
Many centuries ago God, with His own finger, wrote on stone a condensed version of His Rules for Living which He called His “Law.” The summary of His Law–the Ten Commandments–cover every aspect of man’s relationship with the Godhead (The Father and the Son) and his fellow man. The Ten Commandments were written in stone and stored in a place where man could not get at them with hammer and chisel. This tells us that they are not to be changed, by anyone, ever. Unable to change the Law physically, man changed them in his heart, words and actions, thereby creating a spiritual “new normal.” He eliminated God’s Sabbath commandment (#4) and replaced it with Satan’s sabbath commandment in 364 A.D. when Pope Sylvester I decreed that from that time forward the Biblical 7th day (Saturday) Sabbath would no longer be observed. He replaced it with the Babylonian 1st day sabbath which fell on Sunday–the day sun worshipers paid homage to their god–Tammuz. By altering God’s Law the Catholic church declared His Law null and void. The Apostle James tells us that to break one of the commandments is to break the entire Law.
Later, those calling themselves “Protestants” continued to observe the heathen sabbath after their separation from the Catholic Church. See The Sabbath and the Mark of the Beast. Unless this heresy and all the other heresies the church has embraced are repented of and God’s Law (the Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation) is observed, no Catholic or Protestant will enter the Kingdom of God. Unless, that is, God has approved of all of professing Christendom’s “new normals.” He has not.
The Bible is God’s Law–His road map that, if followed precisely, will lead the believer to His eternal kingdom. Matthew 7:13,14 tells us that few salvation seekers will enter His strait gate (join His church) and walk His narrow way (follow His map) to His paradise where eternal life awaits. As He tells us many times in His Book of Life, the tiniest deviation from His prescribed path will result in disaster. Recall that the Serpent of Eden made only one tiny change in God’s rule–the addition of the word “not.” That three letter word, believed and obeyed by Adam and Eve, cost them everything. Their spiritual descendants, having followed in their footsteps, will experience the same result unless they repent and obey their Maker. God has decreed that not one jot or tittle can be changed in the Law (Bible), that nothing can be added to it and nothing can be removed from it (Lk. 16:17/Mat. 5:18). Being Himself perfect, God got it right the first time.
Man’s continuous changing of the material, legal, technological, etc. aspects of his life is designed to make himself happy. Socially speaking, this is normal behavior. However, in the spiritual realm, “normal” is whatever makes God happy. The Very Elect are required to be happy with whatever makes Him happy. What makes Him happy is strict obedience to His Word/Law/commandments/Truth–God’s Word (Jn. 17:17). From His creation of the angels to this moment, the Lord’s singular rule for acceptance by Him–obedience to His Word–has never changed. It is the responsibility of the saint to do what pleases Him, and to be pleased with whatever pleases Him. This process, if completed and maintained, results in “conversion.” The process leading to conversion has never changed because the Designer of the process has never changed. God’s “Normal” in the beginning will continue to be His normal until the end of the age when those who have lived (walked) according to His definition of “normality” will be rewarded with eternal life.
