An open-hearted (minded) study of the Scriptures reveals that the Holy Bible is a book consisting primarily of warnings. By carefully studying all that the prophets and apostles wrote the honest Truth seeker will find that for every promise God made He included numerous warnings concerning the rules one must obey in order to receive the promise. I ask the reader to read Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26 where the Lord uses 13 verses to tell us how He will bless us if we obey Him and dozens of chapters to tell us how He will curse us if we don’t. The message is clear and need not be explained.
I know that readers of this website grow weary of hearing about God’s warnings and yearn to hear the positive aspects of the Christian walk. This ministry was established for one purpose–to warn the whole of professing Christendom that they are worshiping, obeying and serving Satan. Contrary to universal opinion, this is the primary message God sent to both the Israelites of old and their modern day descendants known as “the church.” But there are a few verses in which He proclaims to all who will hear what awaits those who obey Him. I do my best to follow the pattern established by the Master Writer Himself. Over the past several months I have relayed God’s warnings about the wages of God defined sin, which in no way resembles the church’s version. I am sure that readers would like to get away from the warnings and get into the more positive aspects of God’s Word. I know I do. I have previously explained in detail what God promises those who remain true to Him so I will remind the reader of those blessings only in general terms.
At the end of the 7th seal of Revelation Jesus Christ will return to the earth’s atmosphere where all on earth will see Him in the clouds above earth. Following a flash of lightning, the voice of the archangel and the blast of a trumpet the dead in Him will exit their graves where they have remained since their deaths. These will rise from beneath the earth and will join Him on a platform of clear glass. Following this first resurrection, those in Him who are alive will join their once-dead brethren who are standing in the presence of their Messiah. During their ascent those in both groups will be born again–changed from physical to spirit in the “twinkling of an eye” as they ascend to where their Lord awaits their arrival. Jesus will have brought with Him myriads of angels who will be ready to fight the war that is soon to take place.
Once God’s Very Elect have joined Jesus and the angels, all will descend to the Mount of Olives located just outside of Jerusalem and will then enter the famous city where Jesus had been martyred many years earlier. Most of the world’s people will have been killed during the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord.
The ensuing “Battle of Jehoshaphat” will result in the deaths of multitudes of military people. Following this unimaginable battle there will be millions of people scattered throughout the earth. These people will have never heard God’s Truth. Though many of them will have spent their lives in church, they will know only church doctrine. Many more will have never heard “the name by which we must all be saved.” A few people will have heard the Truth but will have rejected it. In His incredible mercy God will send His saints to teach the survivors of World War III His ways. This teaching program will last 1000 years–the millennium–during which all will hear His Truth and be given the opportunity to embrace and obey it. During this time people will live for 120 years, die and be buried. During those 120 years God’s saints will teach them about the Kingdom of God. Now fully informed concerning the Kingdom of God, they will be given the opportunity to either accept the Lord’s gospel or reject it.
Following the millennium the Great White Throne judgment will take place. At that time those who had embraced the Lord and agreed to obey His commands during the millennium will be resurrected and welcomed into His Kingdom. Those who had been taught the gospel and rejected it will be cast into the Lake of Fire. A third resurrection will involve those who had heard the Truth during their normal lifetimes and had rejected it. They too will be cast into the Lake of Fire where both groups will join Satan and his angels. The former humans will be burned to ash and will be trod upon by God’s saints. Satan and his angels will burn forever.
Following the creation of a new earth and a new heaven God’s saints will be placed in charge of the entire universe which they will inherit as part of their joint-inheritance with Jesus Christ. From their headquarters in New Jerusalem God, Christ and their saints will spend eternity caring for the whole of creation.
At this point I will revert to form and remind the reader that God’s promises will be received ONLY BY THOSE WHO OBEY GOD’S WORD. L.J.
