In Ezekiel 18:20,21 the Lord tells us that His “light” exposes the darkness of man’s (Satan’s) religion. One need only come to His light to learn the truth about one’s spiritual condition: “The soul that sins, it shall die …. The righteousness of the righteous (person) shall be upon him and the wickedness of the wicked (person) shall be upon him. But IF the wicked will TURN (away) FROM (stop doing) ALL HIS SINS he has committed, and KEEP ALL MY STATUTES AND DO THAT WHICH IS LAWFUL AND RIGHT, (THEN) HE SHALL SURELY LIVE.” Notice that the righteous are those who obey the Law-do what is right (1 Jn. 3:4). Conversely, the wicked are those who disobey (e.g.-nail to the cross) the Law=do what is wrong. Notice also that churched and unchurched sinners MUST STOP SINNING AND MUST OBEY GOD’S WORD in order to be saved. Only those who do so will live eternally.
Today over seven billion people, two billion of whom call themselves “Christians,” refuse to obey the 4th commandment of God’s Ten Commandment Law. In so doing they are guilty of breaking the entire Law (Jam. 2:10) which makes them “workers of iniquity” whom Jesus will reject at judgment (Mat. 7:23; 13:41;23:28;24:12). Both the churched and the unchurched are separated from God by their sins (Isa. 59:2). Neither are aware of their spiritual condition due to the devil’s two-pronged program which keeps them in a state of Scriptural ignorance. Satan himself keeps five billion of them in the dark while his false prophets keep the remaining two billion involved in Catholicism/Protestantism. The God-dictated purpose of this website along with my YouTube site is to expose this truth to professing Christendom. (My YouTube address is proveallthingsofgod). Those with ears to hear and eyes to see will do so. If the past is any indication of the future, many will read and hear God’s Truth, but few will believe and obey it (Mat. 7:13,14). Why? Because Satan has convinced the church masses that they are saved, born again, etc. and need not obey the Holy Scriptures–proof that Revelation 12:9 is right–Satan has deceived the whole world, including the church world.
To understand how this mass deception is taking place in our day we will return to the featured Scriptural passage–2 Thessalonians 2:8-12. As noted above, the Satan-empowered Wicked (one–man of sin) will be on earth completing his destructive agenda as his followers look on. Due to their rejection of God’s Word, they will be oblivious to the fact that they are perishing. GOD IS SPEAKING ABOUT THE DAY IN WHICH WE ARE LIVING. Which raises the question: Why are the church masses perishing along with the unchurched masses as you read this posting? He answers the question in verse 10b: “… because they received (embraced) not the LOVE OF THE TRUTH (SO) THAT THEY MIGHT BE SAVED.” Notice that salvation will be denied those who do not LOVE GOD’S TRUTH–His Word (Jn. 17:17) AND OBEY IT. True lovers of His Truth love it AS IT IS WRITTEN and refuse to change so much as a jot or tittle (Mat. 5:18). Let us continue: “And for this cause (not loving God’s Truth), GOD shall send them strong delusion (so) that they will believe a LIE, (so) that they will BE DAMNED WHO DO NOT BELIEVE THE TRUTH, but take pleasure in (prefer) unrighteousness.” Note: one either believes the Truth or a Lie; one is either blessed or damned by the Lord. THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND.
The message is clear. In order to inherit eternal life one must BELIEVE AND OBEY GOD’S WORD AS IT IS WRITTEN. Jesus pressed home this fact during His “Great Confrontation” with Satan prior to beginning His ministry (Lk. 4:1-12). In this titanic struggle we find Satan confronting hunger-weakened Jesus in an attempt to entice Him to sin, which would have negated God’s plan for salvation. In verse 3 the devil tempts the Lord with food. As His defense Jesus quotes from the Book of Deuteronomy, prefacing His statement with “It is written ….” Then in verses 5-7 we find Satan tempting Him with power. Again Jesus responds from the Tora (vs 8). In verses 9-11 the temptation involves pride. Again the Lord defeats him with the Truth. In each of these instances Jesus uses as His only defense THE WORD OF GOD IN ITS RAW, UNEDITED, UNFILTERED, UNDENOMINALATIONALIZED FORM–the very Word the church world rejects in favor of its “new and improved way.” Question: Why does man think his way is better than the Lord’s Way? Answer: Because he believes he is wiser than his Creator.
As a result of professing Christendom’s rejection of God’s Word, masses of uber-religious people will hear Jesus tell them to “… depart from Me …. (Mat. 7:20-27). In this passage He warns those who claim Him as their Savior that being uber-religious is no substitute for obedience to His Word, and that no amount of religiosity will empower them to overcome Satan’s temptations, which will allow them to join Him in the eternal Kingdom of God (Rev. 3:21).
