In Second Timothy 2:4 the Lord, through Paul, tells His ministers not to become involved in the affairs of this life, meaning the man-centered minutia that is so important to carnal man. Nothing is more man-centered and carnal than politics. The Lord having instantly delivered me from an interest in politics, I no longer write or speak about the subject as a general rule. However, when the political system comes against the Way of the Lord I, like Peter, have no choice but to speak the Word of God which invariably condemns man’s self-directed way. What follows is an article I published following the 2006 mid-term congressional elections which brought into power those who would destroy the spiritual foundation upon which this nation was built. With some editing, the article was printed as follows.

When a populace elects public officials, particularly on the national level, her citizens are telling the world that those they have honored with governance are the best the nation has to offer; that they represent what the nation stands for–its character, its moral stance, its view of what is important in the grand scheme of life. Over the years leading up to the 2006 elections, America’s growing liberal contingent had managed to place in power their standard-bearers who enacted laws that reflected their political bent. The congressional elections of 2006, 2008 and 2012 flung into the flames of hell the remaining moral fabric of the nation God had established to be His light to the world. With those elections God’s light was extinguished forever as He turned His back on what was once the greatest nation on earth. Perhaps the major indicator of a people’s moral character is their attitude toward the unborn.

Over the years America’s federally elected officials had approved, among other atrocities, the ritual sacrifice of some 4000 unborn children per day on the alter of convenience. Tens of thousands of self-proclaimed Christians publicly applaud the slaughter. The first speech I ever heard extolling the virtues of abortion was voiced by a seminary-trained “minister of the gospel.” How could a civilized people approve the mass murder of innocents? By labeling the unborn as merely a “meaningless glob of cells.” But what does God say about those cells in Luke 1:26-45?

Mary, having been miraculously impregnated, “… arose and went with haste” to the home of her cousin Elizabeth who was six months pregnant with the one who would become John the Baptist. The distance she traveled was approximately 80 miles I am told. This would constitute about a three-day journey on foot. Upon hearing Mary’s voice, the “babe” in Elizabeth’s womb “leapt.” Why? Because the three-day-old Savior of the World had just entered his presence. If the recently-fertilized egg in Mary’s womb was not ALREADY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN THE EYES OF GOD, why did the babe react? Psalm 139:13-16 tells us that God knows us before conception. Does He not know us after conception? Man says no. God says that human life begins at conception; man says that life begins at birth. If man is right, what prompted God to name seven men before they were born, two of them before they were conceived: Jesus, John, Cyrus, Josiah, Jezreel, Mahershalalhash-baz and Isaac?

Abortion, gay marriage, evolution, the removal of prayer from the classroom, the Ten Commandments from public spaces and God from the national conscience–these are major planks in America’s current leaders’ so-called “human rights” platform. Over the past nine years America has announced loud and clear her rejection of God and His Way of life as written in His Word. By choosing Satan’s way over God’s Way, the “One Nation Under God” has in fact mocked God. God is not mocked; what is reaped. America has sown, is sowing and will continue to sow the wind. And we are not alone.

So-called “Christian nations” are following America’s lead by electing Satan’s workmen whose sole intent is to destroy everything that God upholds. The world is blindly heading into the Great Tribulation at break-neck speed. In truth, the planet has sown the wind, now she will reap the whirlwind. L.J.
