The Three Results Of Christ’s Death: Their Place In The Life Of The Believer (Pt. 1)

We will examine the three primary results in reverse order of importance. Number three in importance is mentioned in Isaiah 53:5 where we are promised that our bodies would be healed by the stripes Christ received during the incredible beating He endured prior to His crucifixion. It is noted that He was beaten and his body had been marred as no other man had ever been beaten and marred (Isaiah 52:14). Jesus was willing to die a horrible death so that we could, as spirit beings (the result of being born again–read the series. Key word–Born) we could spend eternity with Him. Considering this Trut, it is only reasonable that He would be willing to suffer physically before death for the healing of our physical bodies during this life. This Truth is rejected by the vast majority within professing Christendom as proved by the percentage of church attenders who, when suffering from physical problems, look to man’s medical expertise rather than to God. The vast majority combine their faith in medical science with a much lesser faith in God. This fact is proven when God is asked to “guide the hands of the doctors” as they are pumped full of drugs, cut on, sewn back together, etc. To these people, the promise of Isaiah 53:5 is only partially true. The Lord, it seems, needs help in fulfilling His promise to heal them by His stripes. Let it be understood: THE SAVIOR DESCRIBED IN ISAHAH 53:5 DOES NOT NEED MAN’S HELP TO HEAL THE BODIES OF HIS PEOPLE. What He needs, and commands, is obedience to His Word/Law/Truth on the part of those who call themselves by His name. Relative to this need, He rarely receives what He commands. The result is the size and importance of the medical profession within the civilized world.

For a closer look at the sin-sickness-healing connection let us turn to Second Chronicles 7:13-15. Here the Old Testament God is telling Solomon that in order to have the Israelite’s land “healed” from the drought GOD HIMSELF HAD SENT BECAUSE OF THEIR SINS, they (His people called by His name–the church today) had to “… humble themselves, pray, seek My face and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS (STOP SINING) ….” Then, and only then, He would hear their prayers and heal their land. Note that their prayers had not been heard (due to the brass dome God had placed in their heavens–Deut. 28:22,23. Read Deut. 28 entirely). The same principle applies to (A) the cause of bodily sickness (sin), which leads to (B) God’s curse on the sinner (sickness), which leads to the sick sinner’s response (stop sinning), which leads to (C) God’s response (healing). In Proverbs 26:2 we are told that there is no such thing as a curse without a cause. Deuteronomy 11:26,27 confirms the connection between man’s sins and God’s curses. In Matthew 9:1-7 Jesus reminds us of that connection.

In the Deuteronomy passages the God of the Old Testament–the Word–who became Jesus of Nazareth (Jn. 1:1-4,14) is telling both Old Testament biological Israelites and New Testament spiritual Israelites (God’s church) that there is a cause and effect connection between man’s sins and God’s curses. Physical and mental sickness (the effect) is the result of sin (the cause). Read The “Voices” of God and Would God Do That? which reveal the many ways God “speaks” to sinning man both individually and nationally. Key words–“Voices” and “Would.”

Number two in importance relative to the results of Christ’s suffering and death involves the removal of sins from the true convert. Though the vast majority within professing Christendom understands that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses the former sinner and enemy of God (Jam. 4:4) of all past sins, called “justification,” the vast majority do not understand the work of His blood following justification. As a result, they immediately remove themselves from God’s favor by returning to sin in the false belief that removal of sin is just a repentance away. The prevailing church “truth” relative to the blood-forgiveness connection is that God is anxiously awaiting the repentance of His saved, born again saints so that He can immediately forgive their inevitable sins, thereby showcasing His grace. What so-called saved sinners do not understand is that with each sin he/she spiritually nails God’s Son to the cross again, and again, and again, ad infinitum. Read the previous series by using the key word–Recrucifixion where I explain how that abomination has been embraced by the whole of professing Christendom. Such an anti-Bible, anti-God “truth” proves that Jesus was right: “Satan has deceived the whole world” (Rev. 12:9), including the world’s Catholic/Protestant church system whose members are indistinguishable from the non-church world with which they identify. Which brings us to the premier, number one result of Christ’s death.

Clergy of every sort all mouth the same message: “Jesus died to save your soul.” Which is a true “headline.” However, Satan has blinded the eyes of church people so that they cannot see God’s “fine print” relative to the soul-saving quality of Christ’s death. Nor does he allow them to hear the Truth about the salvation process from God’s true servants. The Truth is that JESUS DID NOT DIE TO SAVE OUR SOULS. IN THE DEATH PROCESS HE (A) SUFFERED TO HEAL OUR BODIES AND (B) BLED TO REMOVE OUR SINS. HOWEVER, NEITHER HIS STRIPS NOR HIS DEATH, NOR THE COMBINATION OF THE TWO SAVES OUR SOULS, as the following posting will reveal. It is imperative that we understand not only the process of salvation, but that we know exactly how that process takes place. The following posting will destroy the instant salvation, believe and receive, once forgiven, always forgiven lies with which the devil has deceived salvation seekers since the Garden of Eden tragedy. Since then people by the billions have unwittingly embraced his “truths” to their peril. What will be revealed in the following posting is perhaps the ultimate “fine print” Truth to be found in the Holy Bible. Unless one embraces this truth and reacts accordingly, salvation cannot be attained. L.J.
