Having realized that Jesus Christ had lied to them repeatedly (see the introduction to this website for a few examples), religious man quickly came to the conclusion that there was in reality only one source of real truth–his word about God’s Word. However, even Satan-led minds would not accept the premise that individual men could save the souls of other men. Therefore there had to be a corporate entity comprised of many men by which the masses could be saved. Due to his infinite wisdom and incredible religiosity, man soon came up with exactly what was needed. Within two years of the founding of the New Covenant Church on Pentecost, 31 A.D., another church was already seeing its genesis, one which needed neither the Biblical God nor His Truth. A hundred years or so later what began with one man in 33 A.D. had congealed into what was calling itself the Universal (read Catholic) Church. This religious body–the third Adam–would tout itself as the (only) organization that could offer salvation to those who would adhere to its version of the truth. The perversion of the gospel the apostles had warned about (Gal. 1:6,7) had raised its ugly head. However, God and Jesus would not be totally dismissed by her. In order to maintain a semblance of Bibliosity, references to Them would still be part of the program as Their names would be dropped at the appropriate places and times. Which was all that was needed to deceive the parishioners in that they were not allowed to own or read the Bible. Church leaders preached their sermons in Latin to assure that their congregations remained totally ignorant of God’s Truth. By this time “the church,” as the organization called itself, was in the vast majority due to having the Roman Government enforcing her religious dictates and killing anyone who refused to do so. When given the option to join or die, most joined. But not everyone. God has always had a remnant who refuse to go along to get along. Their resistance to the devil would cost millions of them their lives over the coming years, and will cost many more in the future. More on this in later postings.

But there came a time when some in the reprobate church could tolerate no more of her beliefs and practices. Led by Martin Luther, these “Protestants” left the mother, eventually forming hundreds of equally heathenized churches (Rev. 17:1-5). Mother had simply given birth to daughters who, over time, reabsorbed many of her beliefs and practices Biblicly known as “doctrines of devils” (1 Tim. 4:1). Bible believers know that the differences between the two bodies is merely cosmetic. Both have become totally heathenistic in doctrine and practice.

Beginning with the next posting, which will focus on the founder of the Catholic Church–Simon Magus–we will go back in history to see how this organization came into being and will trace its influence throughout church history. This series of teachings will enlighten those who read it, infuriating some while bringing others to a better understanding of why so-called Christianity is in the God-rejecting, Satan-embracing mess in which it finds itself today. Only a few (Mat. 7:13,14) will see the light and go to it. However, I am not into the numbers game. If only one embraces God and His Truth this effort will have been worth while. Gird your loins; the ride is about to get rough.

In John 10:16 Jesus Christ said that if anyone refused to obey anything that His apostles told them that person DESPISED BOTH HIM AND HIS FATHER. In Mark 17-22 a desperate man ran to Him asking Him how to inherit eternal life. When Jesus told him he said he obeyed all of the Ten Commandments. Jesus pointed out that HE HAD ONE PROBLEM THAT WOULD KEEP HIM FROM RECEIVING SALVATION–LUST FOR MORE THINGS. The man rejected Christ’s Words and left KNOWING THAT HE WOULD NOT BE SAVED BECAUSE OF ONE SIN. In First Peter 1:16,17 the Lord, through the apostle, commands us to BE AS HOLY AS GOD IS HOLY. Then in First Peter 4:17,18 we are warned that judgment is on-going in the church, and that ONLY THE RIGHTEOUS WILL BE SAVED, AND THAT THERE WOULD BE ONLY A FEW, just as Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:13,14.  If you reject God’s seventh day Sabbath (Commandment #4) and observe Satan’s first day sabbath you declare to the world that you despise (hate) both God and Christ.
