“The Temple Of The Lord”–The Church’s False Hope (Pt. 4)

Several factors have combined to destroy the American religious establishment known collectively as “the church.” The church’s moral decay has in turn brought about the death of the nation that houses her and follows her lead. These same factors have brought about the downfall of all of the world’s so-called “Christian nations.” The destructive factors that have destroyed the church are 1) ignorance of and rebellion toward most of the Holy Bible, 2) a believe-only-what-you-agree-with attitude toward what little of the Bible she knows, 3) a feeling of security due to the lip service she pays the Lord, and 4) the hundreds of religious organizations she has produced. These factors are the direct result of the work of the Dragon of Revelation 12. The above-mentioned combination of factors has brought the United States to the spiritual condition in which the Jews found themselves just before God sent them into defeat, slaughter and enslavement at the hands of the Babylonians. He had arranged the same fate for the other ten tribes several generations earlier before scattering the survivors throughout the world where they became known as the “Lost Tribes of Israel.” The cause behind His punishment of the northern tribes, called Israel, was the same as with the southern tribes, called Jews–rebellion toward Him.

His patience with the Jews having come to an end, God had sent the Babylonians to defeat them, just as He had sent the Assyrians to defeat their Israelite brethren many years earlier. Having spent many years warning the Jews to no avail, Jeremiah had gone into captivity with them. It was there, in Babylon, that God spoke to him, telling him to warn the northern tribes (Israel) about what was going to befall them if they did not repent and turn to Him. The problem was that those Israelites had been scattered throughout the world. No one knew where they were. Jeremiah had seemingly been given an impossible task–to warn the Lost Tribes of Israel whose location he did not know, about a time which he also did not know. An added problem was that Jeremiah was a prisoner in Babylon. How could he warn Israel of what would happen to them far in the future? As I proved in the series titled Where Is Israel Today? and Jeremiah’s Message to Modern Christendom, the official title “Israel” was given exclusively to the two sons of Joseph–Ephraim and Manasseh–who later established the two most powerful and successful nations in the history of mankind–Britain and the United States of America. Jeremiah was tasked with warning those two nations about what would happen to them at the end of the present age. The warning would also apply to the other descendants of Jacob (Israel)–the world’s so-called “Christian nations.”

Being a slave with no apparent possibility of escape, how could Jeremiah warn the British and the Americans about their end-time fate? He would do so by writing the warning in a book, which is found in the highest selling tome in the history of mankind–the Holy Bible. What God proclaims will take place will take place. Today Israel–Britain and America–are being warned by God’s ministers who are using Jeremiah’s book. Due to the invention of the printing press, this warning has been made known to hundreds of millions of Israelites. The problem is that those Israelites (people of Britain and America) do not know they are Israelites. They have closed their eyes and ears to God’s Truth about them and  refuse to hear the voices of His messengers. When warned about their future, modern day Israelites refuse to consider that the Old Testament message is directed toward them. The irony is that they swear that God would never do to them what He has already done to their ancestors–twice.

The focal passage we will be using to reveal the future of Israel (Britain and America) is Jeremiah 7:1-20. Let us study this ancient message written and spoken to an ancient people in order to discern the Lord’s attitude toward their modern day descendants. We will concentrate on the United States and her three hundred million plus Israelite people. We will also be reminded that God is no respecter of persons. His Law of Sowing and Reaping applies to all men. Because the United States was specifically established and commissioned by Him to perform a specific duty, and because she has failed to fulfill that commission, His wrath toward her people will be most severe. As was stated in the previous posting, His treatment of her, and her sister nation–Britain–will be like nothing mankind has ever experienced. A particular irony is that the Almighty’s chosen people have experienced His wrath two times before as documented in the Book they claim to believe. Yet the Israelites of the United States (as well as Britain) have failed to learn from their ancestors’ failures. People of this country look at the Jews of the Middle East and wonder why they cannot accept the Truth as it is presented in the Holy Bible. God looks at Americans (and Brits) and wonder the same thing about them. For the third and final time He is going to curse His chosen people. A minutely few are listening to Him and obeying Him. Because of this they will be taken to a place of safety where they will live in safety and plenty as the world around them goes up in flames. The Lord’s prodigal children will return to Him, but only after suffering at His and Satan’s hands for 3 1/2 years. The Great Tribulation (a.k.a. World War III) will bring many to turn to the Lord in true repentance. They will die at the hands of their captors for doing so. Their resurrection 1000 years later will place them in the presence of the Lord who will welcome them. Though they will not reside in New Jerusalem with God’s Very Elect, they will be allowed to live in the Kingdom of God which will cover the entire earth. See The Resurrections. L.J.
