The spirit of Antichrist is as close to us as our breath. It permeates every aspect of human life. Like an invisible gas that kills its victim by physically entering the body, the spirit of Antichrist is equally as deadly if allowed to enter the mind (heart) of those it continually surrounds and relentlessly attacks. Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:28 that only a “few” will “find” the right way, don “the whole armor of God” (Eph. 6:10-17)  and, through the power of His Holy Spirit, reject the Antichrist’s siren call to serve him. The many, Jesus laments, will follow the “voice” of the Antichrist through his wide gate and along his broad gate that leads to death. This series will reveal the identities of the Antichrist, his spirit and the agents through which his spirit works. Through them the Antichrist reigns supreme on the earth today.

Deception is the key to the Antichrist’s success. This ultimately powerful entity hides in plain sight by pretending to be the exact opposite of what it actually is. His spirit inhabits those who choose to work for him. These are his “secret agents” tasked with the job of deceiving the human race. One must know his enemy in order to defeat it. At the end of this series the reader will know the identity of the Antichrist and will recognize the work he accomplishes through his spirit-led agents. The reader will realize that everyone from the Antichrist himself to the unwitting victims of his soul-destroying agenda are hiding in plain sight.

In 1 Jn. 2:18 we are told that “(the) antichrist will come, and even now there are many antichrists, whereby we know that we are living in the end times.” The Apostle John wrote those words around 90 A.D. Some 2000 years ago John said that the end times had already arrived. An explanation is in order.

In Acts 2 we find that a phenomenal event has taken place in an area called the “upper room.” The strange happening had caused quite a stir throughout the city of Jerusalem. Thousands of people had rushed to the location and were wondering what had happened to the people who had come out of that room and were now standing in front of them. How could they be speaking in languages they did not know? The Apostle Peter explained: “This is that which was spoken by the Prophet Joel, ‘It shall come to pass IN THE LAST DAYS, says the Lord, that I will pour out My (Holy) Spirit on all flesh ….'” (vss 16,17). By saying “this is that,” God’s church was announcing the BEGINNING of the end of the present world. For the past 2000 years we have been living in the final days of this world and coming ever closer to its final hour. God has given His people identifying “signs” that marked the lead-up to the return of Jesus Christ. Those with “eyes to see” have recognized those signs that told them where they were in terms of the end of he age. According to those signs, WE ARE LIVING IN THE FINAL DAYS OF THIS ERA. This series is vitally important to those who realize that no one knows everything, that we all can learn more about the will of God and the effects of obeying and not obeying His will.  Hearing, believing and obeying His “voice”–His Holy Spirit–separates His people from all others. This makes His people “peculiar” and “holy” (1 Pet. 2:9). God’s true saints are decidedly and observably different from all other people. As it is said, they “march to a different Drummer.” Man prefers familiarity over strangeness. For this reason the true saint’s world does not extend far from himself. As I have written, holiness results in a solitary existence for God’s people. A sure sign of holiness is rejection in the spiritual realm. If one is not rejected by the religious world one does not belong to the Biblical God. See Persecution.

The Almighty (Lord) tells us in Romans 8:14 that only those who are led by His Spirit are His children. Conversely, those who are led by the spirit of Antichrist are his children. There are only two powers, two “voices” in the universe. We are the children (“sons”) of the “speaker” we obey. As Jesus said in Matthew 7:13,14, those who obey God’s voice are “few” in number while those who obey the voice of the Antichrist are “many.” Incredibly, the religious world believes the exact opposite.
