Never having heard the Truth, the Institutional Church does not know God’s definition of “sin.” Therefore she has never confessed her sins and therefore has never been forgiven of them. The Lord defines sin in 1 Jn. 3:4: “To transgress the Law is sin, for sin is the transgression of the Law.” Sin=breaking the Law. Church people have been told that the Law is defunct, having been destroyed by Jesus Christ. This is the same Jesus Christ Who said: “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the (writings of the Old Testament) prophets. I did not come to destroy (the Law and the prophetical writings), but (rather) to fulfill (them)” (Mat. 5:17). In order to “prove” that Jesus was lying, false Christians claim that “fulfill” means “to do away with,” though He plainly said in that same breath that He would not destroy/do away with the Law or the prophetical writings. Let us examine other Scriptures in which “fulfill” is found to see if Christ’s accusers are right.
In Acts 13:22 the Lord speaks of David as a man after His heart who would “fulfill all My will.” Did the Lord want David to do away with His will? In Galatians 6:2 we are told to “fulfill the Law of Christ.” Are we to destroy the eternal Law? In Philippians 2:2 the Apostle Paul tells the church to “fulfill my joy.” Were they to eradicate God’s joy? In Colossians 1:25 Paul says that he was made a minister in order to “fulfill the Word of God.” Was he expected to do away with God’s Word? In Colossians 4:17 Paul tells Archippus to take heed that he “fulfill the ministry” he had received from the Lord. Was he to reject his call from God? In 2 Thessalonians 1:1 Paul told the church to “fulfill all the good pleasures of God.” Were they to deny God His pleasures? Let us believe God when He tells us that His Word/Law has dominion over us as long as we live (Rom. 7:1); that we must be doers of the Word/Law and not hearers only, thereby deceiving ourselves (Jam. 1:22); that it is not the hearers of the Word/Law but the doers of the Word/Law who are (now) just(tified) and will be justified at the end (His return) (Rom. 2:13). Let us set aside the lies, deceits and smooth things that Satan’s false prophets have passed off as Biblical “truths.” Let us search out the Lord’s “sword” which will show us His Truth in its original holy, unedited, undenominalized form. God has much to say about His “sword.” For example:
The sword of the Spirit is the Word of the Lord (Eph. 6:17); the sword of God divides asunder the soul, spirit, joints and marrow and reveals the very thoughts and intents of man’s heart (Heb. 4:12); God will fight against His unrepentant enemies and will smite them with the sword of His mouth (Rev. 2:16) and with it will defeat the rebellious nations by using it to display His wrath (Rev. 19:15).
