In the series titled The Process of Salvation I tell the reader that just about everything he has been told about salvation is either partially or totally wrong, that he is not what he believes himself to be and that he and the non-churched people around him all fall into the same spiritual category which God calls “THE WORLD.” However, the worldly churchite has a problem that his worldly non-churchite does not have. The worldly churchite has the Word of God and his counterpart does not. Therefore, the churchite is more guilty before God than the non-churchite. The Lord’s Words: “Unto whom much is given, much will be required” (Lk. 12:48) holds true in this situation. God gave His Son and the work and writings of the prophets and apostles to help mankind come to Him. In response, the church has turned its collect back to all the Godhead has done in favor of their denominational gods, saviors and doctrines. Christ’s Judgment Day response to the counterfeit church parishioners will be: “I never knew you. Depart from me you who work iniquity” (Mat. 7:21-23).
When the prophets and apostles wrote to their followers they were writing to the two categories of church people mentioned above: God’s true saints and Satan’s false saints, all of whom are in the group 2.4 billion strong group that calls itself “the church.” The two-tiered church system has spiritually infected the vast majority of churchites and rendered them spiritually dead. The exception of is God’s tiny church body whose God is Himself and whose Lord is His Son. Read about the church’s two-part status in Who Are God’s People? and “My People Called by My Name.” Key words–People and Called respectively.
As the Lord reminds us through the Apostle Paul in Second Corinthians 6:14-7:1, though both groups are called by God’s name, they are physically and spiritually separated. By God’s design, one has nothing to do with the other. The smaller group (1%) consists of Law keepers while the much larger group rejects God’s Law. Jesus addresses these “workers of iniquity” (Lawlessness) in Matthew 7:21-23. If you have not read that passage, I suggest that you do so at the first opportunity for Jesus is speaking about the soon-coming Day of Judgement which He refers to as “that day.” Read the remainder of the chapter to see what will happen to Law-rejecters. Then read First John 3:4. And while you are in the apostle’s epistle, read the first ten verses of chapter 3.
In that same vein, read what Peter says about Law-breakers in the church in 4:17,18. Here he says that judgment is ongoing in the church–the “house of God. All–holy and unholy alike, are being judged using the Gospel of God. If the righteous are being judged, what will be the end result for those who do not obey the Gospel? He notes that the righteous will just barely be saved, so what would become of ungodly sinners? He was asking a moot question, for throughout the Holy Scriptures the Lord tells us what will happen to Lawbreaker. In Malachi 4:3 we are told that they will be burned to ashes which will be walked upon by God’s righteous saints.
Our focal passage is First Peter chapters 1 and 2. Turn there now and allow the Lord, through the apostle, open your eyes to some information you will not hear in church, beginning with the following Scriptural Truth. Salvation is not an event that takes place after one has completed a prescribed ritual. It is a process that begins with justification and ends with the return of Jesus Christ to earth to establish His Father’s Kingdom where They and their Very Elect saints (the “few” in God’s tiny church–Mat. 7:13,14; 22:14) will spend eternity. Read The Kingdom of God. Key word–Kingdom. Then read God’s Very Elect: Future Caretakers of the Universe. Key word–Caretakers. As Jesus said, though many are called to join Him, only a few will choose to do so. Ironically, those who do not will believe that they are His chosen ones. This proves that Satan has total control over the Catholic/Protestant Religious System known as professing Christendom.
In 1:1-5 of Peter’s first letter we find him writing to church people scattered throughout a vast area of the Middle East. Their modern-day spiritual descendants are those in His remnant church. These are His “elect” who have been JUSTIFIED (had all past sins forgiven) and SANCTIFIED (set aside by the Lord) and . have been OBEDIENT to God’s Law by making Jesus their LORD (Master/King/Ruler). Only those over whom Jesus is LORD/MASTER/KING/RULER have been truly justified and sanctified both anciently and today.
This brings us to verse 3 where we find that true saints have been begotten by the Lord “AGAIN” unto a living “HOPE OF SALVATION” that God will provide “IN THE LAST DAYS” (vs 5) that will take place at the “APPEARANCE OF JESUS CHRIST “(vss 7,13). Salvation is the reward the true saint will receive as the “END RESULT OF HIS FAITH” (vs 9). Read Romans 5:21 and 6:22. Notice when and why salvation will be awarded. Relative to the faith one must maintain (vs 9), read James 2:10,14,17,18,20,24,26, Yes, dear reader, salvation does involve WORKS which consist of OBEYING THE LORD’S TEN COMMANDMENT LAW. Read John 15:10 and First John 2:3-6 and 5:3.
In verse 3 Peter states that true saints have been “born again” in this life. Billions of people point to this passage to mean that the “born again” experience Jesus talked to Nicodemus about (Jn. 3) was the same born again experience Peter is referring to in this passage. It is not. Recall that Jesus said that when one is BORN AGAIN he will be invisible as Jesus was following His born again experience that took place during his resurrection from the dead. The final born again experience will make the saint invisible and able to penetrate walls, appear and disappear wherever and whenever he wills, as did Jesus. As He told Nicodemus, one who has been born again is like the wind. This brings us to the three “births” of the true saint.
Birth number one is the miracle that takes place following his biological conception in the womb of the mother who has been impregnated by the father. Birth number two is the spiritual birth that takes place when one has been JUSTIFIED (made righteous) and RECEIVES THE HOLY SPIRIT which enables him to obey God’s law unto true CONVERSION, following which he obeys God’s Law until death or the return of Jesus Christ, whichever comes first. Upon Christ’s arrival the convert will be resurrected (will rise into the sky to meet the returning Jesus Christ). At that time he will be BORN AGAIN–CHANGED FROM PHYSICAL TO SPIRITUAL BODILY COMPOSITION. THEN “WE WILL BE LIKE HIM, FOR WE SHALL SEE HIM AS HE IS”–SPIRIT. Jesus had to change from physical to spirit bodily composition because, as He told Nicodemus: “Flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of God” where God abides. Being BORN AGAIN, He is now, like His Father, totally spirit. In order to enter their presence, man must become totally spirit–BORN AGAIN–which is the saint’s reward for obeying the Law of God.
