The Prophet Haggai’s Message To Professing Christendom (Pt. 8)

The Almighty has given professing Christendom ample time to see the many errors of her heathen ways, repent and turn to Him. His patience has run out. As did the ancient Jews and their Israelite brethren, the Christian world has passed the point of no return. For over a century the Lord has warned us through national and personal disasters to “consider your ways”–to reject the perverted teachings of the Catholic/Protestant Church system and to embrace His pure, Spirit-breathed Word. The days of warning are over. What we are experiencing today in terms of rampant nature patterns, heathen invasion, etc. are merely warning shots across our bow. The Lord is preparing us for the Great Tribulation–World War III–that is just over the eastern horizon. The time for national repentance and reversal of national fortune has come and gone. We have been sowing the wind for several generations and will soon reap the whirlwind. Only individually is there hope for deliverance from what lies just ahead of us. The Lord promises those who remain true to Him that he will provide a place of safety where he will care for them as the world around them explodes in death and destruction the likes of which have never been experienced before.

As individuals we choose the one we believe and obey. That choice determines whether we live under God’s blessings or under His curses. Unfortunately, the vast majority of church people do not know the difference between God and Satan, blessings and cursings. That difference is abundantly clear to those minutely few who know their Maker (Mat. 7:13,14). It will become equally clear to the rest of humanity, particularly the Institutional Church, when they find themselves in the midst of the terror that is headed toward them. God speaks to the church which claims to know Him in 1 John 2:3-6: “Now by this we know that we know Him–if we keep His commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him’ and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the Truth is not in Him. But whoever keeps His Word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him must himself also walk (live) even as He walked.” The church claims that God nailed to the cross the very commandments He requires her to keep.

Not only does Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 26 and Haggai’s message graphically explain the Lord’s obedience=blessings, disobedience=curses system on the national level, but on the personal level as well. One example of this Truth is found in John 5:14 where we find Jesus telling a man He has just healed of a physical disease that he must “… sin no more, lest a worse disease come upon you.” How could the connection between sin and disease be made any clearer? Disease, accidents, economic problems, mental problems, wars, natural disasters, etc. are all listed as God’s curses brought on by man’s sins. Yet the church preaches that, due to Adam’s supposed sin transferal syndrome, sin is as natural to man as breathing. And like breathing, as long as man lives, he must sin. God’s formula is simple: obey and be blessed; disobey and be cursed. Why does professing Christendom not believe the Word of the One she claims has saved her? Because professing Christendom does not know Him. To know Him is to love Him. He said, “If you love Me, keep My Commandments/Words” (Jn. 14:15,23). These are the same commandments/Words the church rejects as relics of the distant past. One will notice in John 14:15,23 that Jesus equates His commandments with His Words–they are one in the same. Here He is saying that to disobey one of His Words is to disobey every Word in the Holy Bible. He tells us in Luke 10:16 that to reject His Words is to reject both Himself and His Father.

One of the curses with which God promised to afflict the disobedient is “confusion of mind” (Deut. 28:20,28). It is that confusion that prevents church people from believing God’s Word. The Institutional Church with her false gospel, false god, false messiah and false salvation reveals by her very existence that she is suffering from “confusion of mind.”  L.J.
