The key to the “when” question relative to the New Covenant’s entrance into the lives of God’s Very Elect saints was answered during the Last Supper when Jesus said concerning the wine, “This IS My blood of the NEW COVENANT which IS shed for many,” referring to what would take place later that day, not, as many believe, at the end of this world and the beginning of eternity. He did not say that His blood WOULD SOMEDAY BE the blood of the New Covenant. The symbolism referred to the present–31 A.D.
God’s day begins immediately after sundown–the “evening” of God’s day (Gen 1:5,8,13,19, 23,31). The Passover meal was celebrated on the evening (beginning) of) Thursday (5th day of the week) as darkness began to cover the land. He would die just before sundown that day (Thursday). He would be in the tomb three days and three nights and would be resurrected from the dead on Saturday before sundown–exactly three days and three nights after His death, “… AS HE SAID” He would be resurrected (Mat. 28:6). Read about the timing of His death using the key word–Crucifixion. Also read about His numerous crucifixions using Crucifixion as the key. Professing Christianity believes that He died on “good Friday” and arose on Sunday morning. This would have Him in the tomb only one day and two nights. Why did He say three times that He would be dead three days and three nights? Why would He lie about that? Does this mean that Jonah was in the fish’s belly only one day and two nights? (Mat. 12:40; 16:4).
The church “knows” that the weekly Sabbath is to be observed on the 1st day of the week–Sunday. So why did God lie about observing the seventh day (Saturday) Sabbath? Why did He bless and sanctify THAT day and ONLY THAT DAY (Gen. 2:1-3)? And did He call THAT day “My Holy Day, the Holy of the Lord,” “a delight” and “honorable” in Isaiah 58:13? Did that day become dishonorable? or unholy? or no longer a delight? If so, when did the transition take place? Where is the Biblical proof of the change? I will now answer those questions.
The change of God’s Sabbath from the 7th day of the week (Exo. 20:8-11) to the 1st day of the week took place in 364 A.D. at the Council of Laodicea at the command of Pope Sylvester I. He changed God’s Sabbath to appease the sun worshipers in the church who worshiped their god (the sun) on his day–sun day–known as “The Venerable (Holy) Day of the Sun (god).” The vast majority of “the church” has been breaking God’s Law ever since Satan’s servant changed it. They adamantly refuse to believe what the Lord says relative to that sin and its consequences which consist of spiritual death now and physical death later.
Satan has indeed “deceived the whole world” (Rev. 12:9)–including the church world–and has kept her in darkness so that her parishioners cannot see the Lord’s glorious light (1 Pet. 2:9). For this reason He tells us to “Come out of her (the counterfeit church) and touch not that unclean thing ….” Only then will He be our God and we will be His children (2 Cor. 6:14-7:1). Note verse 14.
At this point we will examine the Biblical Truths relative to the BORN OF GOD and BORN AGAIN confusion. Because this is such a vitally important subject, I will approach it in an ultra “fine print” mode. There are those (the vast majority) in the Institutional Catholic/Protestant Church who “know” that man, regardless of his spiritual walk with God, is “flawed” (thanks to Adam’s sin-transferal miracle). These churchites “know” that man is a sinner by conception, and therefore cannot walk with God in this life because “sin separates you from your God” (Isa 59:2). God tells us through the Prophet Amos (3:3) that He (God) does not “walk” with those who are not “in agreement with Him” (Amos 3:3). God does not agree with people who “know” that they must sin because it is their nature. Man does not agree with God that man’s sins separate him (man) from Him (God). Therefore, being sinners by nature, man is not and cannot remain free of sin, cannot be in agreement with Him and therefore cannot walk with Him. If, as the church contends, we are all sinners, then NO ONE WALKS WITH GOD IN THIS LIFE. The formula is this: WE MUST WALK WITH HIM IN THIS LIFE IN ORDER TO WALK WITH HIM IN THE NEXT LIFE.
Jesus walked with God. If we claim to be Christ’s friends (Jn. 15:13,14) and His spiritual brethren (Mat. 12:46-50) then “WE OUGHT TO WALK EVEN AS HE WALKED” (1 Jn. 2:6). He tells us that we must “OVERCOME (SATAN’S TEMPTATIONS TO SIN) EVEN AS I (JESUS) ALSO OVERCAME (Rev. 3:21). Only those who overcome Satan as Jesus overcame him will “… SIT WITH ME ON MY THRONE, EVEN AS I (JESUS) OVERCAME (SATAN) AND NOW SIT WITH MY FATHER ON HIS THRONE.” Notice the word “ought” in First John 2:6: “… we OUGHT to walk even as He walked.” That word “ought” has been embraced as the perfect excuse to sin. What we “ought” to do is just a suggestion, according to sin excusers (Law-haters). “Ought” in Greek is ophelio,, meaning must/ be bound to/ owe. Knowing that the masses would use “ought” to excuse their supposed Adam-caused sins, the all-wise God clarified First John 2:6 in 3:9 and 5:18 where He says in no uncertain terms that sin will not be tolerated: “Whosoever is BORN OF GOD DOES NOT COMMIT SIN, for His seed (Word/Law) remains in him (in his heart) and he CANNOT SIN BECAUSE HE IS BORN OF GOD” and “HE WHO IS BORN OF GOD DOES NOT SIN, FOR HE KEEPS HIMSELF (FROM SIN) AND THE DEVIL DOES NOT AFFECT HIM.” Obviously, the Lord and His writers are referring to THIS LIFE in those statements BECAUSE IN HIS FUTURE PARADISE THERE WILL BE NO SIN, NO TEMPTATIONS AND NO SATAN TO OVERCOME.
A deadly serious problem arises when people equate “BORN OF GOD” and “BORN AGAIN.” Another word thrown into the mix is “BEGOTTEN.” According to the church, BORN OF GOD AND BORN AGAIN ARE ONE AND THE SAME. BEGOTTEN, THEY CONTEND, IS ALTOGETHER DIFFERENT. However, in the Greek language, the words “BORN” and “BEGOTTEN” ARE SYNONEMOUS–THEY HAVE THE EXACT SAME MEANING according to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible. Both words in the Greek language translate to “gennao” which means to be conceived/ born/ brought forth/ delivered. Read Matthew chapter one where the word “begat” refers to the male who provided the sperm which brought about the conception of the person mentioned. The KJVER version uses the word “fathered” instead of “begat.” Both refer to the act of conception. Recall that God said to Jesus: “YOU ARE MY SON; THIS DAY (A SPECIFIC DAY) I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU.” He was referring to the day of Christ’s conception in Mary’s womb. BEGET, BEGOTTEN MEAN THE SAME AS “CONCEPTION” IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
To be “Born of God” means to be JUSTIFIED (have all past sins forgiven) and CONVERTED (have affected a total reversal of life–“walk”) and have received the Holy Spirit which empowers the convert to resist the temptations of Satan, thereby keeping oneself clean of sin. Clearly, this does not mean “born again” which refers to the act of receiving salvation at which time one is changed from physical to spirit bodily composition exactly as did Jesus when He was born again following three days and nights in the tomb. For more information on the born again experience use Born as the key word. Born again has nothing to do with sin, forgiveness, etc. It is the bodily change from physical to spirit by those who have obeyed God in this life. The born again experience will take place at the same time that eternal life is awarded–at the first resurrection–the resurrection of God’s Very Elect, Law-obeying saints.
Another Biblical passage that proves that the New Covenant rules the lives of God’s true saints today is found in Acts 2:1-18 where we find the Holy Spirit coming down on and filling those in the upper room. This is the point at which the New Covenant Church was born. In verse 16 we find the Apostle Peter explaining what had happened by referencing Joel 2:28. He explains to the crowd gathered around him that: “This is that which was spoken by the Prophet Joel, ‘In the last days ….'” He then explains what has just taken place. That was the beginning of the last days of the world as we know it. Today we are living in the last of the last days. The generation living now is “this generation” (Lk. 21:32) that will see all of the signs God provided to alert us to the soon-coming return of Jesus Christ and the end of this world. There is only one sign yet to be seen and it could take place at any time. I believe we have between two and eight years left before Christ returns. We have the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord to deal with before His appearing. Read about the signs of the last days using the key word Signs.
I said all of that to say this: SIN IS THE BREAKING OF GOD’S LAW/ SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD/ WE MUST WALK WITH GOD IN AGREEMENT WITH HIM IN ORDER TO RECEIVE SALVATION AND BE BORN AGAIN/ GOD DOES NOT WALK WITH SINNERS, REGARDLESS OF HOW RELIGIOUS THEY MIGHT BE/ ONLY THOSE WHO ALLOW GOD TO RID THEM OF SIN AND REMAIN IN THAT SPIRITUAL CONDITION UNTIL DEATH WILL BE SAVED AND JOIN CHRIST IN THE CLOUDS FOLLOWING THE FIRST RESURRECTION. ONLY THESE FEW WILL SPEND ETERNITY WITH HIM AND THE FATHER IN KINGDOM HEADQUARTERS–NEW JERUSALEM WHICH WILL BE LOCATED WHERE JERUSALEM NOW STANDS/BORN (BEGOTTEN) OF GOD IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS CONVERSION/ BORN AGAIN IS THE TRANSITION THAT TAKES PLACE AT THE TIME OF SALVATION AND RESULTS IN THE PERSON BEING CHANGED FROM PHYSICAL TO SPIRIT BODIY COMPOSITION/ THE NEW COVENANT CAME INTO EXISTENCE WHEN THE CHURCH WAS CREATED IN 31 A.D. AND INVOLVES THE TEN COMMANDMENT LAW BEING SPIRITUALLY WRITTEN IN THE HEART OF THE TRUE SAINT/ THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GIVEN AT THE TIME OF CONVERSION TO EMPOWER THE CONVERT TO OBEY THE LAW AND QUALIFY TO RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE.
