Iniquity is defined in the Greek language as “LAWLESSNESS.”  Jesus warned that He would reject “workers of iniquity” on the Day of Judgment.  These will be church people who, during their time on earth, had refused to obey His Law (Mat. 7:23).  In Matthew 24:12 He equates iniquity/Lawlessness with a lack of love for His Word.  In Luke 10:16 He stated that rejection of His Word proves that one despises both Himself and His Father.  The MYSTERY OF INIQUITY (Law-breaking) concerns the fact that iniquity is not only rampant within the church, but is also among the highest virtues a professing Christian can profess and exhibit.  This in spite of God’s Words to the contrary found in 1 John 3:4: “To transgress (break) the Law is sin; for sin is the transgression of the Law.”  Iniquity is the breaking of God’s Law.  The mystery of iniquity involves the “truth” that one can commit iniquity and, due to Christ’s death, be rewarded with eternal life.  NEVER DOUBT THE CONTROL SATAN EXERCISES OVER THE INSTITUTIONAL CHURCH.

In chapter 2 of the Apostle Paul’s second letter to the church at Thessalonica he writes about the second coming of Jesus Christ and the gathering of His true saints unto Himself in the Kingdom of God (vs 1).  He notes in verses 2 through 4 that there would come onto the scene a man who would exalt himself within God’s true church.  This man would make himself out to be greater than God in the sense that he, not God, determines right and wrong.  Paul is telling the early church that Christ would not return until there had been an apostasy among God’s people–a falling away from the faith.  This took place in the late 1980’s.

However, the same rebellious mind-set had already taken place within the Counterfeit Church (Catholicism/Protestantism) some 1900 years earlier.  This posting is dedicated to the descendants of those deluded souls who continue to wallow in the mire and dine on the vomit (2 Pet. 2:23) of Satan’s perverted version of God’s gospel (Gal. 1:6-9).  It was to them that I wrote in the Introduction to this website that it matters not how many millions of church people have held a belief or how many centuries they have held it.  The only thing that matters is whether it is Bible Truth.  I pointed out and have proven in over 1600 postings that most of what the church proclaims to be God’s Truth is in reality Satan’s lie put forward by his false prophets.  In verses 7 and 10 through 12 of the focal chapter Paul warned those in the early church that the SPITIT OF INIQUITY was already at work in their midst (vs 7).  In verses 10 through 12 he described that spirit, how it manifests itself and the result of following it.  There he characterized the deceivableness of unrighteousness that is manifested in those who believe and obey the spirit of iniquity.  He warned that they would perish because they did not love God’s Truth–His Word (Jn. 17:17)–which is job one in the lives of those who would be saved (vs 10).  Without love for and obedience to God’s Word, the activities carried out in His name are meaningless religious rituals.

Note that God, through the apostle, tells us that we must LOVE HIS WORD (TRUTH) IN ORDER TO BE SAVED.  But loving It is not enough.  Love is a mental activity.  If we do not express our love in the form of physical activity our love is meaningless.  For example, we love our family members and prove our love for them by being with them as much as possible and doing whatever we can to please them.  In the same way we must love God’s Truth/Word and prove our love for It by studying It with every opportunity, believing Its message and obeying It.  In this way we remain with the Author of that Word and please Him.  In Isaiah 59:2 God warns that iniquity (sin) separates us from Him.  Churchivity will not reunite us with Him.

The true Christian walk is all-encompassing and all-consuming.  Every aspect of our being, our lives and our existence must revolve around the Word of God, which tells us exactly how to “walk as He (Jesus) walked” (1 Jn. 2:6), to “purify ourselves as He is pure” (1 Jn. 3:3) and to “overcome (Satan) as I (Jesus) overcame (him)” (Rev. 3:21).  Those in the church who deviate from God’s Truth (sinners saved by grace) manifest Satan’s “deceivableness of unrighteousness” while pretending to be God’s sons and daughters.  They do this because they do not love His Truth (vs 10).

In verse 11 of the focal passage Paul states that because many church people do not love His Truth, He (God) sends them “strong delusion so that they will believe a lie.”  This Truth was perfectly demonstrated by Eve when, having quoted God’s Law to the Serpent, she was seduced into believing his lie.  The lie was that she and Adam could disobey God’s Law and still live eternally in the paradise that was the Garden of Eden.  Adam and Eve did not love God’s Law/Word, therefore He sent them strong delusion so that they believed Satan’s lie.  In verse 12 Paul states that, like Adam and Eve, those who do not love God’s Truth are damned by Him because they not only reject righteousness, but take pleasure in their unrighteousness.  I have heard ordained ministers proudly brag that, though they sinned repeatedly, they were saved, born again, etc., and would spend eternity with God in heaven.  This heresy is proclaimed by Satan’s false prophets every Sunday from millions of pulpits and Sunday School lecterns.  Satan’s death-dealing swill can be heard coming from radio speakers, internet monitors and television screens around the clock.  Millions of books have been sold which tout the same lie the Serpent of Eden sold Adam and Eve.  He convinced them (and their religious descendants) that the wages of sin (iniquity) is not death, but rather eternal life, if, that is, they belong to “the church.”  Satan’s lie is the church’s version of the Lord’s “strong meat” (Heb. 5:12).

As was the case in Paul’s day, “the spirit of iniquity abounds” today.  As I walk among Satan’s servants I watch them prepare his seasonal holiday by hanging Christmas decorations and hear them singing about the “blessed night” and talking about the return of Saint Claus, formerly known by a variety of names among the heathen masses whose gods were all born on (surprise!) December 25th.  Why this day?  Because it is the beginning of the winter solstice when the sun is “born” and begins to rise higher in the sky and produce more heat.  Read the postings concerning the abominable Satanic holiday known as Christmas.  Use “Christmas” as your focal word.  L.J.
