God tells us in His Word that everything will change when Jesus returns to this earth. One such change is put forth in Zepheniah 3:9 where we are told that during the Millennium the world will speak one pure language. In today’s world some languages, probably most, are a mixture of several tongues, dialects and regional slang. The American version of the English language is by far the most diverse. Also, many of the letters have more than one sound. In the Kingdom of God everyone on earth will speak the same language in the same way. One can only imagine the sound of the entirety of living souls worshiping God in the same language.
This evil world is rife with danger, suffering, sorrow, and in many cases, slavery and bondage of one human being to another. Man has caused his fellow man untold heartache, and the trend toward evil is growing as Satan gains ever more control over the minds of men. For that reason God destroyed all of mankind except eight souls during the time of Noah. In the future what is called World War III and the destruction leading up to it will destroy 2/3 of mankind. As terrible as that time will be, there will be light on the horizon when Christ returns to the earth and ushers in a new day, a day when He will dry every tear and remove all fear and pain from the hearts of men (Isa. 11:10: 14:3). In that day He will give Israel her promised rest and deliver her from the physical, mental and emotional pain that has gripped mankind since the Garden of Eden. These and all other promises are made to Israel as well as those who, during the Millennium, embrace Israel’s God and obey Him according to the teaching of His saints and the example they will set.
In Isaiah 33:24; 35:3-6; 58:8 and Jeremiah 30:17 we are told that there will be no more health issues among the spiritual Israelites because there will be no more sin (Isa. 33:24). In that wonderful time the blind will be made to see, the deaf to hear, the mute will speak and the lame will leap for joy. Isaiah 58:8 sums it up: “Then will your light break forth as the morning, and your health will spring forth speedily, your righteousness will go before you and the glory of the Lord will be your rearward (rear guard).” God will restore health to mankind and will heal all of man’s wounds as the world’s masses follow the lead of God’s people by living lives that lend themselves to health and well-being.
In Zechariah 14:4 we are told that when the feet of Jesus Christ touch down on the Mt. of Olives following the first resurrection, a great valley will open up in Jerusalem and become the channel of a mighty river (vs 8). One half of this river will flow eastward and the other half will flow westward from the city. The river will consist of “living waters” that will flow outward from the place where God’s Temple will stand, from His very throne (Eze. 47:1/ Joel 3:18-last part).
The world’s masses are today totally ignorant of the way of the Lord. It will be the job of His saints to teach the way/Truth/Word of the Lord to those who survive the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord. The saints will have absolute authority over their students and will lead them to a place of atonement with the Lord by teaching them God’s rules of engagement. In Isaiah 11:9 it is written that “The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Yet some will not believe and obey.
In the Millennium all people will be given a choice as to whether to obey God’s Law. They will literally choose their futures. We will examine the outcomes of that choice in the following postings. Hosea 4:6 tells us that the kind of knowledge that is most lacking in this world is spiritual knowledge. Though I have used the following passage many times, it is worth repeating. Speaking through Hosea, God says: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you (Israel–His people) have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, so that you will be no priest to Me. Because you have forgotten the Law of your Lord, I will forget your children.” God’s true saints (spiritual Israelites) are “kings and priests” unto Him. Isaiah 25:7 tells us that Satan has placed a veil over the eyes of God seekers (Israelites and Gentiles) and has deceived them into embracing a perverted gospel (Rev. 12:9/ Gal. 1:6-9). Satan has deceived the entire world, including the portion of it that professes Christ but will neither do the works nor teach the message He taught that must be obeyed in order to be saved. During the Millennium Jesus will erase the effects of Satan’s deception (Rev. 20:1-3) through His reeducation process that will be administered by His saints.
The devil (“enemy”) has deceived those outside of God’s church largely through heathen religions such as Muhammadism, Hinduism, false Christianity, etc. Satan cannot prevent men from seeking God. Therefore he deceives them into embracing a false god and his false religions, that which calls itself “Christianity” being one of them. The god of all false religions is Satan. In 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 the Apostle Paul tells us how Satan (the “angel of light”) lures man into his religious web using his false prophets to do his work. Those false prophets transform themselves into ministers of righteousness in the eyes of the Biblically ignorant religious masses. In his letter to Titus, Paul sums up the works of Satan’s ministers in this way: “They profess that they know God, but in works they deny Him by being abominable, disobedient and reprobate relative to every good work.” These are the works the church has rejected. God’s Truth has been rejected by both the churched and the unchurched. Today’s public education is also adamantly against anything having to do with God’s Word. This trend will grow exponentially as the world’s anti-god mindset grows in intensity. This abomination will only end at the return of Jesus Christ.
During the Millennium even the nature of animals will change. Ezekiel 34:25/ Isaiah 11:6-8 and Hosea 2:18 affirm this miraculous transformation. Animals that man has feared will become like house pets. Man will no longer fear to sleep among them.
And most importantly, man’s nature will be changed. This transformation will be brought about by the teaching and example of God’s resurrected saints. Upon hearing their words and seeing their examples, many will repent of their sins and will receive the Holy Spirit. God will place a love for His Truth in the heart of His most prized creation–mankind (Rom. 5:5). The world’s masses will then embrace what God’s present day saints have already attained–HIS VERY NATURE (2 Pet. 1:4). Next: The second resurrection. L.J.
