In John 14:15,23,24 Jesus states that His Word and His commandments are one in the same and must be obeyed. Both terms– “Word” and “commandments”–refer to the Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation. He says that the Words He spoke were given to Him by God the Father, and that those who reject them do not love Him. He says in Matthew 4:4 that man must live by (in obedience to) every Word of God. In Luke 10:16 He says that to doubt one of His Words (which were given to Him by the Father–Jn. 12:47-50) is to despise both Him and His Father. The Word “despise” in Greek is “atheteo,” meaning to reject, to view as nothing. Placing this statement in a modern context, those who observe the Sunday Sabbath reject and view as nothing both God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. THESE ARE GOD’S WORDS. As he said, His love toward an individual depends on that person’s attitude and action relative to His Word if, that is, we can take Him at His Word. As this website and my YouTube site have proven numerous times, the vast majority of church people do not take the Bible at face value.

We must individually decide how we will approach the Scriptures. God’s love toward us, which dictate His ultimate treatment of us, depends on that decision. If we believe that Jesus is indeed “… the way, the Truth and the life” (Jn. 14:6), then we must believe His Words which, He said, were given to Him by the Father Who commands that we obey His Words in order to attain salvation. The Lord’s formula for receiving eternal life is summed up this way: GOD’S LOVE FOR US IS DICTATED BY OUR LOVE FOR HIM, WHICH IS PROVEN BY OUR OBEDIENCE TOWARD HIS WORD, WHICH DICTATES OUR ETERNAL DESTINY. This is the ultimate “Cause and Effect,” “Sowing and Reaping” scenario in that it dictates man’s present and future standing with the Lord. To obey God is to make Him our Lord (Master) in the present and our Savior in the future. If He is not our Lord in this life, He will not be our Savior in the next life.

At this point we need to turn to Psalm 5:4,5. Here we will find a statement that no one in the Institutional Church believes, for it goes against everything parishioners have ever been told about God. Before continuing, let us remember that “All Scripture is given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit” (2 Tim. 3:14-16). In Psalm 5:4,5 we find David, speaking what He is hearing from the Holy Spirit, saying to God about God Himself: “For You are not a God that has pleasure in wickedness; neither will evil dwell with you. The foolish will not stand in Your sight. YOU HATE ALL WORKERS OF INIQUITY (sinners).” “Iniquity” is the English translation for the Hebrew word “awen,” which means “evilness,” “wickedness”–SIN. Sin is defined in 1 John 3:4 in this way: “To transgress (break) the Law is sin, for sin is the transgression of the Law.” According to Psalm 5:4,5 God hates those who break His Law/commandments/Word which, as we are told in John 14:15,21,24, are one in the same.

The Apostle Paul said that God HATED Esau for selling his birthright (Rom. 9:13). In both instances (Ps. 5:4,5 and Rom. 9:13) the Hebrew word for “hated/hateth” is “sane,” which means “to hate,” “to see one as an enemy, an adversary.” These are the exact same words the Lord uses to describe Satan (Mat. 13:39/1 Pet. 5:8). Does God love Satan? Does He love those who, through sinning, have united with Satan by obeying him? Note in Psalm 5:5 that David used the word “foolish” to characterize sinners. “The fool(ish) says there is no God” (Ps. 14:1). GOD PLACES CHURCH SINNERS IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS ATHEISTS. Atheists and church sinners–“the foolish”–are lower than Satan, for Satan knows there is a God.  L.J
