Within two years of the establishment of the New Testament Church in 31 A.D. men were already working to fundamentally transform her by conjoining the teachings of Jesus Christ to the pagan gods, beliefs and practices of Babylonian Mystery religions which, over time, came to dominate the theology of what came to be called Christianity. By mixing Christianity with heathenism the goal was to appeal to everyone and every group, from sun worshippers to man worshipers. Regardless of one’s beliefs and customs, one could find a home in that organization as long as one paid homage to the universal–Catholic–church. The church became her parishioners golden calf–the entity that would guarantee a believer eternity in heaven. If, that is, one did what the church demanded. The key was to know how to be saved as dictated by the church. Catholicism’s many and varied commands had to be obeyed as dictated by her officials. And those commands could only be obeyed through the agency of the priesthood. In short, man could only be saved by obeying the dictates of the priests, which could be ignored if the price was right or if one performed certain acts. Ironically, none of the commands and dictates of the church’s hierarchy had anything to do with the Words of God found in the Holy Bible.
In 1517 a young monk named Martin Luther broke away from the Catholic Church because of the sale of such “indulgencies.” Luther’s primary problem with the teachings of Catholicism relative to salvation involved the process of attaining it. He had an especially hard time with the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Rome. Having had problems with that same book, I can understand his frustration when tying together the concepts of faith and works which Paul and all of the other apostles did continuously. Unlike Luther, I listened to God and came to understand His Truth concerning the issue “works” relative to salvation. Luther never learned the ways of God because he could not get past faith, which became his be all and end all. He settled on the “fact” that God does not expect anything from man except to believe in Him. His mantra became the “fact” that God loves us just the way we are and expects nothing more of us than to have faith in Him. His grace causes Him to simply ignore our inevitable sins. As one preacher said: “God can’t see our sins through Christ’s shed blood.” Luther could not have said it better. It is from his “faith and grace–no works” “truth” that Protestantism sprang. Protestantism’s total reliance on faith and grace for salvation is the lure that 99.99% of salvation seekers have swallowed beginning in the Garden of Eden. The Serpent convinced Adam and Eve that what they did was irrelevant. They believed in their Creator and that trumped everything else. Their lack of holy “works” (obedience to His Words) in fact nullified their belief in Him. Nothing has changed. Luther’s theology has produced literally hundreds of variations of the “come as you are, stay as you are” salvation formula. Each denomination has its own. Not one, however, lines up with the Words of God. In fact, Protestantism’s theology directly contradicts God’s Word. See the Introduction to this website for a list of some of her “truths” that are proved dead wrong by God’s Word–the foundation of this ministry.
“Works” is a dirty, even a blasphemous word within the confines of professing Christianity because it goes hand-in-hand with the Law of God which he condensed into the Ten Commandments. Of all of the statements by all of the prophets and apostles concerning the faith-grace-works-salvation issue, the Apostle James lays it out as well as0 can be done in chapter 2 of His epistle to the church. In verse 10 he wrote that to break (to not work) one of those commandments was to break all ten of them, which results in “iniquity”–Lawlessness. In verses 14,17,18,20,24 and 26 he stated repeatedly that “faith without works is dead.” In verse 14 he askes, then answers perhaps the premiere question: CAN FAITH SAVE THE SOUL? His answer is a decided “NO.” And yet, salvation-seeking man does not believe those Spirit-spoken Words that came to James from the mouth of Almighty God by way of His Holy Spirit. In this series we will look at the results of Satan’s “Have it your way, it’s all good” theology that permeates the whole of professing Christendom. Only God’s true saints cling to His Truths and are rejected for doing so by those who call themselves “Sinners Saved By Grace.” In the following postings we will delve into the various effects their Satanic theology has had on billions of salvation seekers who, by believing their self-serving proclamations, have joined the unchurched world in their worship of and service to Satan.
