The Lord–Love–Law Connection (Pt. 2)

October 25, 2024 by Larry Jaques Leave a Comment

The Almighty desires for every human being ever born to be on the receiving end of the Lord–Love–Law Connection. As is the case with all things spiritual, the choice belongs to us. In order to fit into the L-L-L formula we must first understand the character (nature) of the main component of that connection. Only then can we know how we are to be connected to that connection, which we must be in order to receive eternal life upon Christ’s return, as well as the other blessings promised us before that takes place.

The primary component in the Lord-Love-Law Connection is ALMIGHTY GOD whose character is pure love, which, as this series will reveal, is tied directly to His Law by which He governs those who choose to involve themselves with Him and His Son. As the Holy Scriptures tell us, the Son’s character perfectly matches that of the Father. Like a square peg trying to fit into a round hole, one who is not spiritually like Father and Son does not fit into their family situation. Contrary to universal church opinion, They do not change their requirements for acceptance and membership to match man’s various desires. Man, through obedience to his Creator, must fit himself into the character mold presented in their Holy Bible. Acceptance into the Holy family is possible only by obeying what is written therein, the main component of which is Their Law as Jesus, the prophets and the apostles so plainly tell us. Oneness with the Godhead is the key–the one and only key–to the Kingdom of God.

God and Christ are one in nature, character and mind-set. Therefore, in order to be one with them the salvation-seeker must also manifest Their character through atonement–at-one-ment. The true God- seeker must become what he hungers and thirsts to become–one with the Godhead (Mat. 5:6). This Biblical Truth is summed up in Ephesians 4:13 where we are told that we must grow ever more like them until we become like the Man who, while on earth, perfectly reflected the character/natured of His heavenly Father. To join the Godhead, we must grow in faith and obedience until “we come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” The Scriptures tell us that Their character is–and ours must become–one of spiritual holiness, righteousness and perfection. It is for this reason that the Holy Spirit is given to the truly converted person. That Spirit power, and only that power, enables the truly converted person to obey His Creator and to be able to say, “They who have seen me have seen the Father” as did the totally human MAN known as Jesus of Nazareth (Jn. 14:9). Read The True Trinity. Key word–True.

Read Leviticus 26:1-13 and Deuteronomy 28:1-14. Notice that God promises a number of different blessings to His most prized creation–mankind. While reading those passages keep this firmly in mind: GOD IS NOT REQUIRED TO LOVE US THAT MUCH. HE MAKES THOSE PROMISES OF HIS OWN FREE WILL. BECAUSE HE PROMISES MUCH, HE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO REQUIRE MUCH IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THOSE PROMISES. HIS REQUIRMENT IS SINGULAR AND UNCHANGING: OBEDIENCE TO EXODUS 20:1-17. Those ten commandments summarize God’s Law and His character, which is love. He loves man so much that He gave him explicit instructions that, if obeyed, will enable him (man) to live in paradise forever.

Yet the religious masses repeatedly defy Him twice each week–on Saturday when they desecrate His Holy Sabbath by doing whatever pleases them, then again on Sunday when they worship and honor Satan on his sabbath by doing what he tells them to do through his false prophets. I have been told that it is impossible to obey God’s Law. One woman even said that obedience to God “… isn’t worth the effort.” Someone please explain to me why obeying the Ten Commandments, including commandment #4, is so difficult. I find it easy. However, unlike the religious masses, I don’t care what other people think about me. As I recall, Jesus had the same attitude. His family members rejected Him and tried to hide their biological ties to with Him. In spite of their rejection, His message remained the same: OBEY GOD’S LAW.

Recall that the Apostle James, writing under the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:21), proclaims that to break one of the Ten Commandments is to break the entire Law (2:10), thereby making one a worker of iniquity (Lawlessness) whom Jesus will reject on Judgment Day (Mat. 7:23). Why? Because the iniquitous one has proclaimed that he DESPISES AND HATES BOTH THE FATHER AND THE SON (Lk. 10:16/ Deut. 5: 1,7; 7:9,10). To those who reject His Law, Jesus will declare that HE NEVER KNEW THEM. Billions of people attend church, read the Bible, pray, tithe, sing hymns, wear crosses around their necks, smiles on their faces and fish symbols on their car bumpers. They have Bibles on their coffee tables, the Ten Commandments, pictures of Jesus and Bible verses on their walls. In their desks they have a wad of perfect attendance pens. YET GOD HAS NEVER KNOWN THEM AND WILL NEVER KNOW THEM UNLESS THEY OBEY HIS COMMAND RECORDED IN SECOND CORINTHIANS 6:14-7:1. The Institutional Church specializes in Satan’s perpetual sin-repent cycle that characterizes his version of the “Christian Walk.” One must get off that religious treadmill in order to break free and stay free of sin. To remain on it is to be like the sow and the dog described in Second Peter 2:22. Read Matthew 7:21-23; 15:9, Luke 6:46, James 1:22 and John 15:10.

We must understand that the Lord does not suggest–He COMMANDS. Every one of the Ten Commandments is a COMMAND, including #4. There is not a sin known to mankind that is not covered by the Ten Commandments. In fact, all sins fall under #1, for sin is in fact idolatry–the worship of self. TO SIN IS TO REJECT GOD AND WORSHIP SELF. Read Sin is a Choice. Key word–Choice. We must CHOOSE to make Jesus our LORD. He is not our buddy with Whom we have an “understanding” known as the church’s sin-repent cycle. A Lord must be obeyed. He is a King whose servants must obey Him. If not, then one’s Lord is himself, made so by his god–Satan. Jesus will BECOME our Savior upon His return only if He IS our Lord until His return. As the Apostle Peter tells us, judgment is ongoing in the church. Only the righteous in the (one and only) church will be saved, and they just barely (1 Pet. 4:17,18). Read Who Are God’s People and “My People Who are Called by My Name?” Key words–People and Called respectively.

In the following segment we will discuss the final outcome of obedience to God’s Law–His governance. A Lord governs and controls those who are in submission to him. Those who refuse to be governed by the Lord while claiming to have been saved by Him are false Christians–C.I.N.Os–Christians In Name Only. Those who would spend eternity with Him are governed, ruled and dictated to by Him. There is no alternative to total submission. This is a hard lesson that the church masses will learn the hard way as the five foolish virgins written about in the Matthew 25 parable teaches us. A fool says “there is no god” (Ps. 53:1). A total fool says there is a God, but He does not expect to be obeyed. L.J.
