In the previous posting God showed those with eyes to see and ears to hear that Jesus came to earth to magnify the Law and return it to its place of honor.  He accomplished His goal by teaching the Law, demonstrating it in His life and dying in order to empower true believers to obey it by giving them the Holy Spirit.  As God tells us repeatedly in His Holy Scriptures, He looks favorably on those who “walk as Jesus walked” (1 Jn. 2:6), who “purify themselves as He purified Himself” (1 Jn. 3:3), who “… overcome (Satan’s temptation to disobey the Law) as He overcame” (Rev. 3:21), who prove their love for Him by “… keep(ing) My commandments/words” (Jn. 14:15,23), who prove that they are His spiritual brethren by “… do(ing) the will of My Father in heaven” (Mat. 12:46-50), who prove they are His friends by “… do(ing) whatsoever I command you” (Jn. 15:13,14), who “… live by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Mat. 4:4) so as to “come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:13).  Only those who do so will spend eternity with Him.  Only a few, Jesus said in Matthew 7:13,14, will do so.  Many are called to do so, but few will be chosen for having done so (Mat. 22:14).  Many claim to be His brethren/friends but do not obey His Father’s Words but obey the self-serving doctrines of the Counterfeit (Catholic/Protestant) Church.  These are those who call Him their Lord but choose church doctrines over His commands (Lk. 6:46).  These, Jesus said, “… worship Me in vain” (Mat. 15:9).  These proudly proclaim that they are “Sinners Saved By Grace” (S.S.B.G.).  These are “liars and the Truth is not in them” (1 Jn. 2:4).  Jesus tells us that ALL LIARS (including S.S.B.G.) will burn in the Lake of Fire (Rev. 21:8).  We are given God’s definition of sin in 1 John 3:4: “To transgress (break) the Law is sin, for sin is the transgression of the Law.”  The Law is the entire Word of God from Genesis to Revelation.  The Ten Commandments (“headlines”) tell us “what” to do.  The rest of the Bible (“fine print”) tells us “how” to do it.  THE LAW DEFINES SIN AND HOLINESS.  TO OBEY THE LAW PRODUCES HOLINESS.  TO DISOBEY THE LAW PRODUCES SIN.  HOLY PEOPLE WILL SPEND ETERNITY WITH GOD AND CHRIST.  SINNERS WILL BURN IN THE LAKE OF FIRE.  THESE ARE THE WORDS OF GOD.

The above statements prove that SALVATION IS CONDITIONAL–WE MUST OBEY GOD’S LAW IN ORDER TO BE SAVED.  Common sense tells us that, this being the case, He did not nail the Law to the cross of Christ.  Otherwise, no one could be saved and He would not praise those who teach His Law (Mat. 5:19).  One cannot inherit eternal life without obeying all ten of the commandments.  This is what Jesus told a wealthy man who asked Him what he MUST do to be saved.  The man was denied salvation because he obeyed only 9 of the 10 commandments (Mat. 19:16-22).  Jesus told him that obeying all ten of the commandments would make him “perfect” (vs 21).  He was almost perfect; but good was not good enough.  He had to be perfect in order to be saved.  THESE ARE THE WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH MUST BE BELIEVED AND OBEYED IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR ETERNAL LIFE UPON HIS RETURN.  By telling the very rich man he had to sell EVERYTHING he owned and give it away meant that there could be NOTHING in his life of which God did not approve.  Having given up all that he had LUSTED FOR AND ATTAINED, the man had to obey God (keep His Law) for the rest of his life.  He had to overcome his lust for things in order to qualify for salvation.  In Matthew 10:22 and 24:13 Jesus said that “He who endures (holiness and the persecution that comes with it) UNTIL THE END SHALL BE (future) SAVED.”  Note that the rich man had to rid himself of EVERYTHING FOR WHICH HE HAD LUSTED.  His lust for things separated him from God.  The things he lusted for were not sins; he sinned when he lusted for them.  Sin separates man from God (Isa. 59:2).  We cannot be separated from God and inherit eternal life.  S.S.B.G. refute everything written above.  Why?  Because they choose to obey the god of the church rather than the God of the Bible.  As Jesus said about them, “THEY WORSHIP ME IN VAIN” (Mat. 15:9).  “They”= 99% of professing Christendom.

Not so, I am told.  Though one sins at will, all is well.  I am told that the same Christ Who repeatedly condemned sin later died to turn His own Words into lies.  All that is required, I have been assured, is to believe in Him, be active in church, obey church doctrine, etc.  Christ’s death, I am told, nullified everything else.

In the book written by the Apostle James under the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim. 3:16), he states that to break one of the ten commandments (the Law) is to break all 10 of them–the entire Law from Genesis to Revelation.  Recall that the rich man was denied salvation because he DISOBEYED ONE COMMANDMENT IN GOD’S LAW.  EVERY WORD WRITTEN ABOVE CAME FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD.  Hear His Words as written by John: “He that is of God hears God’s words” (Jn. 8:47).  The Scriptures make it clear that to spiritually “hear” His Words means to believe and obey them.  “Be DOERS OF THE LAW and not hearers only.”  Those who only hear the Law are “deceiving themselves” (Jam. 1:22).  To break the Law is to “work iniquity” (Lawlessness)–Mat. 7:23.  To claim Jesus as one’s Lord while continuing to break the Law is hypocrisy (Mat. 23:28).  THESE ARE THE WORDS OF THE ONE WHO SUPPOSEDLY DIED TO TURN THEM INTO LIES.  “He who sins (breaks the Law) is of the devil” (1 Jn. 3:8).  Note that John is writing to those in God’s church.  The Lord warned His people that there would be false prophets among them (tares among the wheat) who would try to lead them astray (2 Pet. 2:1).  History has proven them to be 99% successful.

The message from God is clear.  Sin is the breaking of the Law.  To break one commandment is to break the entire Law, making one a “worker of iniquity” (Lawlessness).  To claim to belong to Christ while breaking the Law is hypocrisy.   No Law breaker will enter the Kingdom of God.  S.S.B.G. are of the devil.  False prophets in the pulpits work for their master–Satan.  SO SAYS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.  L.J.
