The Coronavirus Pandemic: The Cause Is The Cure (Pt. 4)

The world does not believe God’s wind (sin)/whirlwind (sorrow) Law. Few are even aware of it. Of those, few believe it. I recently read where some pastors were telling people that God loves everyone, therefore He would not hurt anyone. I have been told this by pillars in “the church.” However, this is the same loving God Who said: “He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly” (Prov. 13:24). Both the Old and New Testaments are filled with such warnings. But like Adam and Eve, churchman knows more than God knows.

Alongside this theological problem lies another one: THE CHURCH DOES NOT KNOW GOD’S DEFINITION OF SIN. He tells us plainly in 1 John 3:4: “To transgress (break) the Law is sin, for sin is the transgression of the Law.” “Not so,” we are told. “God destroyed the Law by nailing it to the cross.” However, in Romans 4:15 the Apostle Paul, who received his gospel from Jesus Christ (Gal. 1:12), wrote: “Where there is no Law, there is no transgression.” If there is no Law, there can be no sin. If there is no sin, man has no need for a savior. Having nullified God’s Law, the church has been forced to concoct her own version of sin. To take care of those sins she had to create her own savior, god, church, salvation, etc. Ironically, one of those sins she concocted (the worst one) is to obey God’s Law by which He defines sin. I have been accused of “falling from grace” for obeying that Law. I have also been told that it is impossible to obey that Law. I have a question: how could I have fallen from grace for obeying a Law that cannot be obeyed? Because the church has redefined sin to be what God defines as normal, what she defines as the normal, God defines as sin. The church claims to be the light shining brightly in the midst of the world’s darkness. God’s Biblical reply is, because “the light that is in you (the church) is darkness, great is that (your) darkness” (Mat. 6:23). Because both the churched and the unchurched reject God’s light (Word), and because He sees no difference between them, He sends the same curses on both.

Because sin and cursing have been integral parts of church life for so many generations, her people have come to view them as “normal.” They proudly call themselves “sinners saved by grace” while discussing the latest “normal” disaster ravaging the nation. Sin, they tell us, is “natural.” Holiness, they tell us, is not merely unnatural, it is impossible. However, the Lord, through John, tells us that sinners are “of the devil” (1 Jn. 3:8). Churchites tell us that God lied, that sinners in the church are of God, and that Jesus died to make their self-defined sins disappear. But we must keep in mind that John was writing to the church about the church (1 Jn. 1:1-5), telling her that those in her who continued to sin were “of the devil.”

I have a few questions for those who claim that a loving God would not curse the church for rejecting His Words, and therefore reject both Himself and His Son (Lk. 10:16). If Christ’s death makes their “sins” disappear, why does God “allow” disaster after disaster to come upon them? Why have destruction and death become “normal” among them? If church people “love the Lord” as they claim, why does He “allow” sickness and disease to ravage them? Why is our “Christian nation” “allowed” to be continuously at war? Why does He “allow” her to be invaded by heathen aliens? Why does He “allow” flooding in one area and drought in another? Why, at the same time, does He “allow” fire to ravage yet another area? Why has He “allowed” the nation to be $23 trillion in debt? Why does He “allow” hurricanes and tornadoes, with predictable regularity, kill church people while destroying their homes, businesses and churches? If God’s will is to bless His people, as He says in Leviticus 26: 1-13 and Deuteronomy 28:1-14, why does He “allow” curses to come on those who are “active in church?” Why does He “allow” Satan to afflict them with all these problems? The answer is: HE DOESEN’T. HE HIMSELF CURSES THEM, JUST AS HE PROPHESIED HE WOULD IN LEVITICUS 26 AND DEUTERONOMY 28.

Jesus brought out this Truth after He had healed a man at the pool of Bethesda. He told him to sin no more, “… lest a worse thing come upon you” (Jn. 5:1-14). The man was in the Temple worshiping God when Jesus said this to him. Being religious did not prevent him from getting an incurable disease in the first place. Jesus made it clear that sin had caused his first curse, and that if he sinned again, the God he was worshiping would curse him again, only more harshly. God is no respecter of persons. What was true for the man is true for all people. L.J.
