The Church In The Post-God Era (Pt. 2)

Let us examine the public statements made by the Waco church in order to determine exactly where she stands relative to the Standard set by the Creator of the Universe. Before doing so let us be reminded that Jesus Christ said in Luke 10:16 that those who refused to believe what His ministers said and wrote are professing that they “despise” both Himself and His Father. Let us not forget that the Bible is God in written form, and that Jesus was the Bible in human form and that God called Him “the Word.”

Reportedly, church members had been in prayer over the homosexual issue. This prompts several questions that cry out for answers: to whom did the people “pray” during the four months leading up to their eternity-deciding decision? To whom was the “worshiping community” sending their worship as they developed their “various opinions” based on their “many and varied perspectives?” To whom were the committee members tuned into during their “season of devoted listening?” The answers are obvious to God’s true saints. The church was praying to, worshiping and expressing the many and varied perspectives of their god–SATAN.

Therein lies the reason God has turned His back on the Catholic/Protestant religious system. This two-headed Satanic beast has devoured multiplied billions of God-seekers over the past 2000 years and continues to draw in billions more as we approach the end of the age. How is it possible for a people for whom owning a Bible is a matter of course to be taken in by God’s #1 enemy?

Satan deceives religious men because they refuse to seek the counsel of the God of the Holy Scriptures. Because they hear only the words of their leaders, they are deaf to the voice of God. In such a situation, sin is always the end result. Because sin separates them from God, He turns His face away from them and refuses to either see nor hear them (Isa. 59:2). Where God is absent, Satan is always present. It is his counsel that church members hear, believe and obey.

When I read and reread the article concerning the Waco church I noticed that two words were nowhere to be found in the report: “God” and “Bible.” The one instance in which the Lord’s Word was mentioned was in reference to “biblical interpretation and theological discernment.” This in spite of the fact that God prohibits the interpretation of His Word (2 Pet. 1:20). The Bible interprets itself for those who study it with a heart open to its Truth (2 Tim. 2:15). We are commanded to prove every spiritual doctrine by God’s Word (1 Thes. 5:21). “Discernment” involves the Bible student discerning that he/she is studying God’s Truth, and that it needs no “theological discernment” in order to understand what God is saying.  Jesus has already discerned that God’s Word is His Truth (Jn. 17:17), and that we are to study that Truth, believe it and obey it. Obviously, the Waco church ignores such commands.

Because of the church’s failure to study, believe and obey the Words of the true God, the people were praying to their false god–Satan–who continues to deceive them along with billions of other Bible- rejecting God seekers (Rev. 12:9). The people in the Waco church prayed to Satan, believed him and obeyed him in spite of Jesus’ warning to those who would seek Him: “Beware lest any man deceive you.” Through the devil’s false prophets (ministers and board members in this case), this false church slipped further into the mire by doing what God expressly condemned in numerous places in His Word. As a result, this leaven-saturated “church” opened its doors to even more leaven. But they are not alone. Throughout the world over three billion of their religious brethren are wading in sin while “knowing” that they are walking hand-in-hand with the Biblical God. And Satan smiles. L.J.
