I read recently about a professional basketball player who stated that the head coach was acting like the boss. He announced his consternation by stating: “This is not a dictatorship.” Evidently this would-be joint-boss isn’t alone. Though the team in question has several of the best players in the NBA, it is totally dysfunctional. To the question, “Who’s the boss?” the group answer would be “We are.” This perfectly explains why this highly talented team will possibly not make the playoffs. On paper they are virtually unbeatable. But on the court they are struggling. The question is “What is the problem?” The answer “We are.”
The team, these self-appointed gods should be told, operates under a dictatorship–or should. Admittedly, I know nothing about the inner workings of a professional sports franchise. However, I do know one thing based on 78 years of living in the real world that the United States once was: if an American business is to succeed, someone will be at the head of the pecking order. And that person will have a “My way or the highway” mentality. The proverbial buck must stop somewhere, and the destination must be the person at the top.
God’s church–the Body of Christ–is no different. It operates under a Dictator who does not direct operate under a democratic format. He commands, period. And those who desire a say in the proceedings are shown the door. As I have stated before: GOD’S PEOPLE DO NOT VOTE. The vast majority of church people reject this Biblical Truth, which is why, as Jesus said in Matthew 7:13,14, few would enter the very difficult door to the Father’s church and walk His very restricted way that leads to eternal life. This is also why false prophets (pastors, evangelists, missionaries, Sunday School teachers, parents, grandparents, etc.) are popular–they give parishioners a say in the proceedings. Contrarywise, a dictator dictates what everyone, without exception, must do. The people listed above tell their followers that they can do pretty much what they want to do and, like Adam and Eve, supposedly live forever, provided they belong to the right church. Let us apply these truths to the modern day church in order to determine why billions of professing Christians have rejected the Biblical God in favor of a god more in line with their theology. In other words, malleable.
The “God gave me a brain, therefore ….” mindset is not new. In the Book of First Samuel we find that the Israelites were successful and prosperous as long as they remained under the rule of God’s appointed judge–Samuel. There is a saying that some people cannot tolerate success. Israel was one such example. Over time the people grew to resent Samuel’s dictatorial rule, though they knew that he was simply following the dictates of the God they professed to serve. Their yearning for self-direction continued to grow until it reached the breaking point, at which time they demanded a king so that they could be, “… like all the nations” that surrounded them. The problem was that all those nations were heathen. God told Samuel to remind the Israelites of how He had preserved and prospered them during his (Samuel’s) rule, and that if He gave them a king that king would be a harsh, demanding dictator. But the people knew best–they wanted to be ruled by someone like themselves, which Samuel was not. This man would please himself. Samuel pleased God. Still they insisted. Therefore God gave them what they wanted and the rest is sordid, Satan-serving history. It was only with the kingship of David that the nation began to rise up out of the abyss.
Israel’s rebellion during the judgeship of Samuel was not the first time the Almighty had been rejected by those He wanted so much to bless. Adam and Eve did the same thing to Him and suffered the same effect–failure. Today we are seeing the same attitude rising up among the so-called “Christian nations.” This series is a warning to those within Catholicism/Protestantism: REVERSE COURSE OR DIE. Both secular and church history prove that the end of such religious endeavors is invariably death, destruction and enslavement.
As I have stated before, as goes the church, so goes the nation. The church began rebelling against God during the first few years of her existence. The Israelite nation was soon to follow in her moral footsteps. The Old Testament holds written proof that when people are allowed to govern themselves the result is always the same–anarchy. This is what we are seeing in many cities in Israel’s modern day descendants– the United States and Britain. Muslims are forming their own no-go areas and ruling them according to their own religious standards. People from Central and South American countries create enclaves and set up the same type of social scenes from which they claim to be “escaping.” Areas where religionists are not in charge are ruled by gangs. The result is chaos. What these cities need is a strong hand at the helm, one which would affect a scorched earth policy. Those who refused to assimilate and obey the law would be dealt with by implementing the Law. However, political correctness being the order of the day, that is not going to happen. Modern man does not have the backbone to force people to abide by the Law of the land. For that reason we are about to lose the land. And the Biblical God is orchestrating the entire process, just as He said He would in His Holy Bible.
A government governs by law. Social anarchy results when people reject that law and form their own. The like-minded then form groups which vie for supremacy. Spiritual anarchy is no different in that men reject God’s doctrines, concoct their own doctrines, form groups around these doctrines and vie for supremacy. The success of a group is determined, not by the extent to which those in the group obey God’s Biblical Law, but by the number of people involved in each group. It is numbers, not holiness, that determines success. God, as we shall see, views things quite differently. L.J.
