Having learned that it was the supposedly dead Jewish carpenter Who had his grabbed his attention, the terrified former Pharisee asked THE question all who would join the Messiah in His Father’s kingdom must ask: “What would You have me do, Lord?” The answer is found only in the Holy Scriptures which God has preserved for those who truly love Him, to whom He said: “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (Jn. 14:15). These are the saints who, upon learning what is written in His Law (the Bible), believe and obey it “until the end.” Only those who do so will qualify for eternal life in the Kingdom of God (Mat. 10:22). Those who merely go through the religious motions dictated by the Institutional Church will be disqualified, no matter how outwardly religious they show themselves to be. Jesus confirmed this fact when He said: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but (only) he who does the will of My Father (Who is now) in heaven” (Mat. 7:21). He went on to say that on the Day of Judgment masses of church people would stand before Him and remind Him of the “wonderful works” they had done “in His name” during the days of their churchivity. To these religious people He will say: “I NEVER KNEW YOU; depart from (before) Me you workers of iniquity” (Gr.-Lawlessness). Notice this important fact spoken by Jesus Christ Himself–HE DOES NOT KNOW (INTIMATELY) THOSE WHO DO NOT OBEY HIM. He will have never known the billions of Catholics and Protestants who will have been “faithful in church,” many of whom will have preached, taught and born witness to their cult’s version of the Bible. Some will have built churches, baptized many, prayed, read the Bible, fasted, etc. All these will have one thing in common–THEY DID NOT OBEY HIS WORD/LAW. Instead, they will have nailed it to His cross, thereby declaring it null and void. Jesus said in Luke 10:16 that those who refuse to obey His Word prove that they “despise” both Him and His Father. These, He tells us, will fall when the inevitable storm comes (Mat. 7:26). Those who chose to enter “the church” through its wide gate then walk its broad way will find themselves in the Lake of Fire following the storm. Only the few who enter God’s church by following Jesus through His Father’s strait (Gr.-difficult) gate and walking His narrow (Gr.-no options) way will be granted entrance into the Kingdom of God where they will rule and reign on earth with Jesus Christ forever (Mat. 7:13,14/2 Tim. 2:12/Rev. 5:10;11:15;20:6;22:5).
