In the final segment of this series we will study THE MAIN SUBJECT INVOLVED IN MAN’S SEARCH FOR SALVATION–GOD’S LAW AND MAN’S OBEDIENCE TO IT. From day one of this ministry I understood the Lord’s focus for this ministry–HIS TEN COMMANDMENT LAW AND THE ABSOLUTE NECESSITY FOR CHURCH PEOPLE TO OBEY IT. I also understood what lay ahead, having been a part of the counterfeit church system for most of my life and a minister of her Satanic doctrines for some of that time. It has been a hard-fought battle as God’s message has been rejected, reviled and repudiated by the hundreds of churches, denominations, cults, assemblies, etc. that make up the Catholic/Protestant Religious System that calls itself “Christianity.” I have enjoyed the war because I know that, in the end, I and those few who know, believe and obey the Biblical God will win as the Lord will show the world who is right.
However, at the same time I am saddened, knowing that historically, billions of unwitting salvation seekers have been, are being and will be led astray by Satan through his false prophets who are led and empowered by his fallen devils, commonly known as “demons.” I have cast many of them out of church people and have brought physical healing to others whom those fallen spirits have afflicted with diseases. In so doing I have done what Jesus commanded me to do in Matthew 10:7,8 where He commissions His Holy Spirit-filled messengers to preach His kingdom message, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils. I have been obeying His commission for many years and will continue to do so until His return.
By writing and preaching messages such as the “Understood” series I am fulfilling the Lord’s commission to proclaim His Kingdom message. Physically, I am fulfilling the rest of His commission as people come to me for the kind of help that only God, through the power of His Holy Spirit, can provide. At this time we will explore the Kingdom of Heaven (God’s true church on earth today) part of His commission. That church is very small as Christ prophesied would be the case at the end of the age in which we are now living (Mat. 7:13,14; 22:14).
As noted, Christ’s church has as its premiere focus OBEDIENCE TO HIS TEN COMMANDMENT LAW–THE LAW 2.4 BILLION SALVATION SEEKERS REJECT. As Jesus warned, the gate into His sheepfold/church is strait (difficult) and his way to the Kingdom of God is narrow (obedience to His Law). Very few salvation seekers, He laments, will SEARCH for His church, FIND it, ENTER it and OBEY its foundational doctrines– the first and most important of which is HIS LAW. It is Christ’s restrictive gate that we will now “find” and learn how to enter. That gate is called THE LAW. In this segment I will offer only introductory statements to the passages that I highlight, then depend on you to study the passages on your own. Again, God and His chosen, appointed and anointed messengers emphasize His Law, belief in it and obedience to it. All other church leaders are false prophets–hirelings, workers of iniquity–on assignment from the god of this earth (2 Corinthians 4:4).
The Word the Lord uses to identify Lawlessness is “INIQUITY.” In Matthew 7:21-27 Jesus reveals His attitude toward those who practice that soul-destroying error. Note that His Law and His “sayings” are one and the same. Notice in the following passages that obedience to the Law, righteousness and walking in the Holy Spirit are all one and the same endeavor. In Romans 2:5-11 and 17-24 Paul is addressing Law-breaking Jews in the mostly Gentile church at Rome. In 5-11 he chastises the Jews who repent after sinning, then continue to sin and repent. He tells them that their repentance is meaningless in the eyes of God, that in fact, they have “unrepentant hearts.” Note verses 23 and 24 especially. Note in Romans 2:5 that by continuing to sin after repenting, the Jews were “treasuring (saving) up” their sins until the Day of Judgement. Nothing has changed. So-called “sinners saved by grace” continue to do the same thing today and recruit others to follow in their iniquitous footsteps. In Romans 8:4,7,8,11-14 Paul highlights the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE LAW and the importance of walking in (being led by) the Holy Spirit.
In Hebrews 6:6 Paul makes a hard-hitting statement concerning those in the church who repent of their latest sin, then sin again, then sin, then repent …. Here he reminds them that in so doing they spiritually CRUCIFY JESUS CHRIST with each sin and in so doing, “PUT HIM TO AN OPEN SHAME.” Crucifixion was a shameful way to die. People have hung on crosses for days as people passed by and looked upon their shame. This is what those entrapped in Satan’s sin-repent, sin-repent cycle do to Jesus Christ on the spiritual level, each time putting Him to an open shame before the world. Read about the recrucification of Jesus Christ. Key word–Recrucification.
I will end this teaching with the writings of the Apostle John. If I could have only one Book of the Bible, I would choose First John. If I could have only one chapter of the Bible, it would be First John chapter 3. Which is where we will turn to now in order to view God’s attitude toward His Law/Word/commandments. In the first 10 verses of that chapter the apostle uses the Lord’s “sword of the Spirit” (Word/Law) as correctly and decisively as possible. I look forward to meeting John.
In this section I will go with you as you study John’s heart-felt message to all seekers of God’s Truth. In verse 1 the apostle warns us that, if we choose to obey God’s Word/Law we will be rejected by the world, meaning the religious world, as was the Lord Jesus Christ. Those outside the church do not care what we believe, do, say or think. Jesus warns that if we follow Him, the world will hate us, and that our enemies will be those of our own household (Mat. 10:25,26). In verse 2 John tells us that upon Christ’s return His true saints will be resurrected and will rise to meet Him in the air. At that time they will be changed from flesh to spirit bodily composition (be born again) so that, when we see Him we will know what we look like, for we will “see Him as He is”–a spirit (1 Jn. 3:). Read Born Again. Key word–Born.
In verse 3 John tells us that we who have that (born again) HOPE purify ourselves (“by the washing by the water by the Word’ of God–Eph. 5:26). By continually “washing” our minds with God’s Word, we make ourselves as pure as Jesus is pure (1 Jn. 2:6). Only in this way can our HOPE OF SALVATION become a reality (1 Thes. 5:2/Titus 1:2/Col. 1:27/ Rom. 8:24,25). In verse 4 John defines sin as the breaking of God’s Law.
In verses 5 and 6 John reminds us that Jesus died so that we could be justified (cleansed of all PAST sins), thereby enabling us to abide “in Him” where sin is forbidden, for “in Him is no sin.” Whosoever abides “in Him” (is truly converted) does not sin. Those who continue to sin have “neither seen Christ (in the Holy Scriptures) nor known Him” (by “walking as He walked”). In verse 7 John tells us that only those who DO RIGHTEOUSNESS (obey the Law) ARE TRULY RIGHTEOUS, EVEN AS CHRIST–THE ULTIMATE LAW KEEPER–IS RIGHTEOUS.
In verse 8 John, writing under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, states that church members who sin are “OF THE DEVIL” AND REJECT THE WORK CHRIST COMPLETED ON THE CROSS. Verse 9 tells us that whoever is born (begotten–spiritually conceived by God through the Holy Spirit) DOES NOT SIN FOR HIS SEED (WORD/LAW) ABIDES IN HIM AND HE “CANNOT SIN.” The word “cannot” is a two-word conjunction which, in the Greek language, is comprised of can–(dynamai) meaning to be able to, to have the power to, and not— (ou), meaning no, never, under no circumstances. God’s saints can sin but absolutely refuse to do so. Dynamai is the word from which we get “dynamite.”
Verse 10 reminds us that true children of God manifest His righteousness to the world around them. Read “My Brother’s Keeper.” Key word–Keeper. As was the case of Jesus of Nazareth, those who see us, see God. Recall that those who saw Him–and therefore, saw God–did not like what they saw and had Him killed. His apostles were martyred for the same reason–obedience to God’s Law. Only John was spared in order to codify the Old and New Testament writings into one book–The Holy Bible. Recall that it was the religious people who brought about their deaths. Nothing has changed. Today’s church people also reject the Biblical God and those who manifest Him in their words, thoughts and deeds. By rejecting those Biblical Words that they disagree with, they show that they DESPISE BOTH JESUS AND HIS FATHER (Lk. 10:16). The fact that they will be judged by those same Words (Jn. 12:44-50) has no effect on their attitudes toward the Book they carry with them as the pay homage to Tammuz the sun god on his sabbath–SUNDAY. Read the series on the Sabbath using that Word as the key. Also read the series on the persecution of God’s people in today’s world. Key word–Persecution.
In closing let us look at Romans 12:2 where Paul tells us to “prove what is that (singular) good and acceptable and perfect will (singular) of God by which He governs His true, Very Elect saints. His will is His eternal, holy, just and good Law (Rom. 7:12; 13:8-10). L.J.
