Though the enemy was well-known to the early church, his deadly work within her midst was often overlooked because of his ability to disguise himself and his agenda.  Using his demons (“devils”) to influence his human servants, Satan’s efforts went virtually unnoticed by the general church population.  Jesus warned about the devil’s cross-wearing, Bible toting, Scripture-quoting,  glad-handing, smiling “ministers of righteousness” in Matthew 24:4,5,11.  Through the Apostle Paul He repeated His warning in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.  The Lord prophesied that in the future many men would come in His name declaring that He, Jesus, is the Christ, and would deceive many.  These men would operate with ultimate effect because their audience, being ignorant of His Word, would not realize whom they served and whose words they preached.

My experience and the experiences of others prove that nothing has changed.  Ironically, when confronted with the Biblical facts that prove that they are controlled by Satan and that their gospel is false, today’s false prophets choose to continue preaching Satan’s perverted gospel.  Though they would not admit it, they choose to preach Satan’s lies because to tell the people the Truth would put them out of a job.  They would be forced to live by faith.  Because money is the primary force behind their ministries, God calls them “hirelings” (Jn. 10:12,13).  Today, steepled buildings, radio waves, television broadcasts, the internet, etc. are filled with Satan’s false prophets who present his false gospels with a Bible in one hand and an outstretched palm in the other.  How does one know who is God’s man and who is Satan’s man?  The rule to remember is this: IF THE PREACHER IS CATHOLIC OR PROTESTANT, HE/SHE IS A FALSE PROPHET.  Why?  Because if he/she (or some combination of the two) spoke God’s Truth he/she/? would have already been fired and his/her/? ordination papers would have already been pulled.  It is no mystery to me why I am NEVER invited to preach to a Catholic or Protestant congregation and am NEVER included in those inter-church gatherings that are becoming more popular.  For a look at what is happening relative to the churches coming together read The Ingathering: the Rise of the End-time Church.  See the NOTICE section in the Introduction to this website for instructions on how to find a particular series.  I also make available a list of series titles for those who are interested.

The original apostles understood the work and effect of Satan within the church and continually warned their followers about him and his ministers both in face-to-face preaching and in their letters to them.  However, the death of the original apostles left the church without their fiery, no-holds-barred, fight-to-the-last-breath warring attitude for which God’s true leaders are known.  With few exceptions, those who came behind them lacked their fearlessness, toughness and resilience.  Following the deaths of the original apostles, and facing the mighty Catholic Church and the Roman Empire muscle behind her, God’s true church grew smaller and less influential as the church/state conglomerate tightened its grip on all things spiritual.  As a result of severe persecution, God’s church became viewed as not merely another type of Christianity, but rather as the archenemy of Christianity which had to be eradicated.  Refusing to bow to Satan’s people, God’s saints had to go on the run in order to survive.

How, one might ask, did the Catholic Church, founded two years after God’s church came into being, grow so large and so powerful so quickly?  Several reasons explain this phenomenon.  The word “catholic” literally means “universal.”  Her founder, Simon Magus, wanted to create a religion that would appeal to everyone on earth regardless of his/her theology.  His church would therefore allow people to do whatever they wanted to do with the promise that his priests would make their guilt go away by appealing to the church’s god on their behalf.  Secondly, Constantine, the king of the Roman Empire, having been supposedly “saved,” made Catholicism the official church of the empire.  The combination of self-will, ultimate power and death as the only alternative explains Catholicism’s appeal to the empire’s masses.  Therefore “the church” grew rapidly and soon engulfed most of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.  Unable to abide by Catholicism’s Satanic doctrines and practices, God’s true saints were forced to flee the mighty church/state machine.  They would remain in a struggle for existence for many years.  With the power of the Roman Empire behind her, the church forced all heathen societies within the scope of the empire’s domination to join her.  The choice was to either join or die.  The masses “saw the light” and were “converted” by the tens of thousands.  Their numbers continued to increase over the years until the church became heavily populated with heathen people who worshiped and served a variety of gods, the sun being the most prominent deity.

As the number of heathen “converts” grew, so did their power within the church.  These people had worshiped their heathen gods and practiced their religions for many generations.  They were not going give up their gods and religious customs simply because they were now called Catholics.  In order to appease them and keep the peace within the church, the leadership began to incorporate their heathen beliefs and customs into the church’s catechisms.  They simply changed the names of their pagan gods and practices to make them sound more “Christian.”  For example, the Lord’s Passover came to be known as Easter.  His celebration of Christ’s death became the exaltation of the queen of fertility, also known as “the Queen of Heaven.”  God’s seventh day (Saturday) Sabbath was changed to the first day (Sunday) sabbath in honor of the heathen sun god.  The Introduction to this website lists a number of such God-condemned beliefs and practices that the church embraced in order to appease the growing number of heathen converts.

Over the coming generations numerous Satanic beliefs and practices came to be accepted as “God’s Truth.”  Not being allowed to own, read or hear the Word of God, and hearing the priests’ sermons preached in Latin, a language they did not know, the Catholic masses remained ignorant of God’s Truth.  Knowing only what the priesthood told them, and believing that their priests were in reality Christ in human form, the church masses remained totally ignorant of the Lord’s true gospel.  Nothing has changed.

The so-called Protestant Revolution had little effect on the beliefs and customs of professing Christendom.  The so-called “protestors” in reality protested very little.  The differences between Catholicism and Protestantism deal more with cosmetics than with beliefs and practices.  Let it be known that the Protestant Revolution had nothing to do with Catholic beliefs and customs.  Martin Luther and his followers left the Catholic Church for one reason only–corruption within the priesthood.  As a result, the “Protestants” took with them most of Catholicism’s beliefs and practices when they left, as the Introduction to this website clearly shows.  These church “truths” and “holy practices” are the foundation stones upon which the Protestant Church system was built and upon which it remains to this day.  Read the series titled Simon of Samaria: the Legacy for an historical look at what is called “Christianity” today.  Within that series one will discover that the modern church bears no resemblance to the church founded by Jesus Christ on the Day of Pentecost in 31 A.D.  My job, as assigned by the Almighty, is to point out to everyone who will listen, specifically those in the Institutional Church, the numerous and deadly differences between the two religions.  One gospel illuminates the path leading to the Kingdom of God.  The other points the way to the Lake of Fire.  Today those heading toward the lake outnumber those headed toward the kingdom hundreds of millions to one.  L.J.
