Gentiles (heathen) have always been welcomed into the Commonwealth of Israel provided they abandoned their former religions and obeyed the God of the Israelites. The God of the Israelites gave them His Law of Life in stone on Mt. Sinai following their extraction from Egypt. It was His will that they obey that Ten Commandment Law in the presence of the Gentiles in hopes that they (the Gentiles) would see their light–see Israel live God’s Word–embrace it and come out of the darkness in which Satan had held them prisoner for generations (Isa. 42:6;62:1,2).
The Lord later sent His apostles into the world’s Gentile nations to find the scattered, lost tribes of Israel living within them. His purpose was to tell them (Israelites) about Him and His Word (Mat. 10:6;15:24;28:19) in hopes of drawing them back to Himself. Earlier He had commissioned Prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah to write His Words in books that would be preserved for the world’s Israelites in the “latter days.” It is for this reason that His ministers are today receiving revelation relative to their (the prophets’) writings, which He calls His “light”–the “things of God.” He warned that those (Israelites and Gentiles) who refused to believe and obey that light would be destroyed (Isa. 10:17/Rom. 6:23). God’s true saints (spiritual Israelites) have His Law written in their hearts/minds (Rom. 2:14,15/Isa. 51:7,8/Jer. 31: 33/Heb. 8:10). Having His Law in their hearts, both believing Israelites and Gentiles–spiritual Israelites–would be grafted into His Good Olive Tree (Rom. 11:17-25)–His pure religion. To be welcomed into His spiritual body spiritual Gentiles must recognize their spiritual condition, repent of it, come out of it, believe God’s Word and obey it.
All who fail to believe and obey the Word of God are spiritual Gentiles. The Apostle Paul drove this point home in his letters to the churches at Rome, Galatia, Ephesis and Corinth. In these messages he reminded them that they were “formerly (spiritual) Gentiles” (1 Cor. 12:2/Eph. 2:11-13) and as such had been “without Christ; aliens from Israel; strangers from the covenants; without hope and without God in the world.” To the formerly Gentile members of the Rome church he noted that spiritual Gentiles are “enmity (working) against God; in the flesh; slaves of sin; enemies of God; without strength; unjustified; dead; blind; foolish; wild and not a people (Rom. 8:7;7:5;6:20;5:10;6:2,13; 6:23;2:19;10:9;11:17-25). In Galatians 2:15 and Ephesians 2:32 Paul calls spiritual Gentiles “sinners” and “children of wrath.”
Sadly, Paul’s words fell on deaf ears as 2 Peter 2:1-3 tells us. In this passage the apostle warned his congregation that false prophets were already preaching “damnable heresies” in the name of the Lord and men were believing them. Jeremiah lamented that one day the Gentiles would recognize that their fathers had been told “lies, vanities and things that had no profit” (Jer. 16:19). In verse 21 the Lord promised to one day open men’s eyes and cause them to know His Words and works. That day has arrived. However, as prophesied, men still refuse to believe and obey God.
That Satan’s heretical lies are being repeated and believed by Spiritual Gentiles here in the end times is evidenced by the church’s denial of God’s Word and the acceptance of man’s (Satan’s) word concerning such things as the Law, Easter, life after death, Christmas, religious symbols, denominations, the rapture, the trinity, the Sabbath, the Holy Days, Gentilism, grace, salvation/rebirth, human nature, justification, sanctification, conversion, church foundation, Christ’s resurrection, the Kingdom of God, the Old Testament God, the gospel, idolatry, etc.
Proverbs 14:12 describes Gentilism: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but that way leads to death.” Gentilism consists of hundreds of different ways (denominations), each of which seem right but produce death. Recall that Jesus warned: “Let no MAN deceive you” (Mat. 24:4). Later He stated that “SATAN has deceived the whole world” (Rev. 12:9). Note that Satan uses men to deceive men. Those men are false prophets. Let us prove what is right in the sight of God (1 Thes. 5:21) and reject the numerous refutations, additions and deletions of His Word as practiced by the Counterfeit Church (Mk. 7:7). L.J.
