Some people believe that with Donald Trump as our president things will begin to look up. Jobs will return to the United States; industry will no longer be sent to other countries; the world will once again look up to the mighty U.S. as our military will once again be the envy of the nations; our enemies will fear us; our friends will once again respect us; illegal immigrants will no longer treat the nation as if they had a right to it; our tax dollars will no longer support those who hate us; lower taxes for business owners will increase investment, thereby creating more jobs; we will become energy independent; the government will stay out of our private business; small business will no longer be in the government’s crosshairs; etc. If Trump is confirmed when the electors are counted, which is not guaranteed, all these things might very well come to pass. But that does not guarantee success. National success lies in the hands of God, Who guarantees success only for the nation that obeys Him. In other words, the United States is doomed because the missing part of the above scenario–the only important part of it–is Almighty God. A short history lesson is in order.
What happened following 9/11? Military buildup/”shock and awe”/invasion of Afghanistan, etc. What did not happen? The president did not call for the nation to fall to its collective knees and beg God’s forgiveness for sending those airplanes into those buildings. Instead, the United States followed the example of her Israelite ancestors–she rattled her sabres but did not confess her individual and collective sins, which should have been the first order of business. As a result, we have never defeated the enemy. The United States has not won a war since WWII. The bombing of Pearl Harbor was a warning from the Lord. Military might did not win that war; millions of individual prayers saved the Allies. Those days are over. We did not learn the lesson He tried to teach us. We returned to our God-resisting lives which caused Him to unleash the Muslim hoards on us. We are in a war we cannot win. Why? Because God is not on our side. Just as He sent the Assyrians to destroy Israel, the Babylonians to destroy Judah and the Roman army to destroy the Jews in 70 A.D., He is sending first the Muslims, then the Europeans and Asians to do the same thing to the United States, and for the same reason–rebellion against His Word.
The point of no return has been crossed. God has turned His back on America. As God told Ezekiel (5:1-8), Israel (now the U.S.) would be destroyed. One third of her citizens would die by internal strife as her cities went up in flames, one third would die in the ensuing war, one third would be taken into slavery by their captors, etc. Only a few would be kept safe by the Lord. As the spiritual and biological descendants of Israel, the United States will suffer the same fate as her ancestors.
What is missing is the God of the Holy Scriptures. Without Him, no so-called Christian Nation will survive. The day when a nation could turn to Him for salvation is past. Henceforth, salvation is strictly on an individual basis. Neither the church nor the nations will survive the wrath of the angry God. Because of rejection of Him, sweet baby Jesus–the Lamb of God–has become the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. If you have seen God’s Light and will settle for nothing less, you must separate yourself from the Catholic/Protestant church system which will keep you in Satan’s camp, get alone with God and stay there. There is no other path to salvation. Search for others with which to fellowship. Do not be discouraged if none can be found in your area. God needs only you, not a group or organization. Do not look for others to agree with you. You and He make a church. L.J.
