Another prophetic sign that had to be manifested before the Lord could return is the ability of the people of the world to see an event anywhere on earth simultaneously. For the first time in the history of mankind, instant communication is now an established fact. Due to space satellites people from deepest Africa can see something happening in Chicago in within seconds of the event. In Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 Jesus warned that more frequent and more deadly natural events would take place during the last days, events that would send fear into the hearts of the world’s people. This would not be possible unless world-encompassing information could be disseminated from the source of the event. At the time the aforementioned was pronounced by the Lord, man did not even dream of this happening. But times are changing rapidly and, in the case of the signs of the Lord, with ever greater effect.

During a street demonstration in Tehran, Iran a few years ago the world watched as a young woman was shot from a distance and bled to death. We watched as life slowly left her body. Gone are the days when media reports from afar were viewed by the American public on the evening news the next day. Today, everything is instantaneous and in color, complete with sound. During the Great Tribulation executions will performed publically with all networks filming the proceedings and sending them throughout the world in real time.

Which brings us to the ministry of God’s last two ministers who will not have been taken to the saints’ place of safety. These Two Witnesses will carry God’s warnings to the whole world concerning the return of His Son, the end of the age and the resurrections to dead.
