Ten Commandments

I am the Lord thy God, ... Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long.

Thou shalt not kill.

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house.

Separation Of Church And State (cont. 1)

Having banned religion from the public domain in 1947, and having outlawed voluntary prayer from public schools in 1962, and having declared that Bible reading in public schools was unconstitutional in 1963, any thinking American could guess what the next step the Judicial Branch of the God-established United States of America would be–it prohibited the word “God” from being found on any printed surface in the public schools in 1967. Not only that, but it decreed that no statement could appear in writing that might cause a student to BELIEVE that it referred to God. Let it be known that Satan is never quite finished when it comes to destroying a nation.

In 1980 the court declared that the Ten Commandments could not appear anywhere on public school grounds. The explanation: “If the posted copies of the Ten Commandments are to have any effect at all, it will be to induce the school children to read, mediate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey the Commandments …. This is not a permissible state objective.”

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit which covers nine states and 59,000,000 people declared unconstitutional the utterance of the words “under God” when pledging allegiance to the American flag. However, that same court declared constitutional a mandate issued by a school district that REQUIRED all students to submit to a three week long introduction to the Islamic faith. During those three weeks the students were forced to pretend to be Muslims, wear Muslim garb, pray to Allah, read the Koran, take Muslim names and participate in Muslim Jihad (war) games. To be continued. L.J.
