Two definitions are needed at this point: “world” and “earth.”  The word “world” refers to the civilizations man has created on the earth.  “Earth” refers to the globe on which those civilizations rest that is made of dirt, rock, water, etc.  It is important that the reader understands the difference between the two words.

This world does not belong to God.  He gave Adam and Eve the earth in a pristine condition and prepared a special place–a garden–on the earth in an area called Eden where they and their descendants could live in peace and plenty forever.  As I pointed out in a previous posting, God had formulated a Law which Adam and his family would have to obey in order to retain what God had given to them.  To remain in the garden and live the good life they had to obey God’s Law, the central command of which involved a particular tree.  However, there was another being in the garden who would challenge them for ownership of the earth–a Serpent, better known as Satan.  To retain rulership over the earth Adam would have to defeat Satan.  Adam failed, spiritually bowed to him and lost ownership of the earth and the world that would be formed upon it.  For this reason God calls the devil “the god of this earth,” meaning that he rules the earth and everything on it (2 Cor. 4:4).  That earth/world/man/control situation has continued ever since–with a minutely few exceptions.  God’s true saints (“holy ones”) have refused to be controlled by Satan over the 6000 years since creation.  The first saint was Adam and Eve’s second son–Abel.  So pure was this man that Jesus would later call him “righteous Abel” (Mat. 23:35).  He was so honored because he obeyed God’s Law.  Nothing has changed.  God still commands that man obey His Law, which He summarized in the Ten Commandments.  Unfortunately, man still rejects His Law and, like Adam and Eve, break it while believing that the reward of his sin will be eternal life.  This age-old conflict and how it is conducted is the focus of this series.

The Apostle Paul wrote that the true gospel of God has been hidden from those who are lost, whom THE GOD OF THIS WORLD has blinded so that the light of the glorious gospel could not shine upon them (2 Cor. 4:3-6).   This ministry was specifically designed by God to send His gospel light (Truth/Word–Jn. 17:17) to a specific segment of that Satan-blinded world.  This group calls itself “the church.”  This two-headed religious monster is comprised of two equally powerful segments known as Catholicism and Protestantism whose parishioners have rejected the Word of God and have thereby rejected God Himself and His Son.  As Jesus said in Luke 10:16, by rejecting God’s Word they “despise” both Father and Son.  Like Adam and Eve before them, they have rejected God’s Law (the Holy Bible) and have embraced the teachings of the Serpent of Eden–Satan.  This powerful counterfeit god has, as Jesus said, “… deceived the whole world” (Rev. 12:9).  His most cherished conquest has been the church.  Those outside of professing Christendom being already his, he has been able to focus his efforts on God’s church.  To quantify his success one need only look in any phone book under the heading of CHURCHES–and count.  As added proof of his success one can guess the number of hours spent by church people watching television, reading novels, watching movies, sports events, etc. each year, then comparing that figure to the number of hours they allotted to studying God’s Word over that period.  The Apostle Paul counsels each professing Christian to “Study to show yourself approved of God” (2 Tim. 2:15).  Note that Paul was writing to Timothy, one of the Lord’s evangelists who wrote two of the Books of His Holy Bible.  If John needed to diligently study His Word, what does this say about everyone else?  Studying the Law (Genesis to Revelation), its commands and religious man’s reaction to it brings us to the subject of this series–God’s government and governance.

In the world of espionage a “plant” or “mole” is someone who pretends to be part of a particular group but who is in reality working for that group’s enemy.  In the sports world someone or something (example–a race horse) that passes for someone or something else is called a “ringer.”  In the spiritual world a plant, mole or ringer is someone in a leadership position who claims to be a Christian but is not.  What makes religious plants/moles/ringers different from others is the fact that they believe they are the real thing.  Satan is the grand master who directs tens of thousands of counterfeit Christian leaders whom he has placed within the church world.  Their followers call them pastors, evangelists, teachers, missionaries, etc.  God calls them “false prophets.”  These counterfeit “ministers of righteousness” serve the “angel of light” by leading the counterfeit (Catholic/Protestant) church away from the light of the gospel and into the darkness (fake light) of church doctrine.  Through his false prophets Satan controls his 2 1/2 billion false Christians.  Let me be blunt: THE “CHRISTIAN CHURCH” IS COUNTERFEIT; ITS GOD IS COUNTERFEIT; ITS MESSIAH IS COUNTERFEIT; ITS GOSPEL IS COUNTERFEIT, AS IS THE SALVATION IT CLAIMS TO OFFER TO ANYONE WHO BELIEVES IN ITS COUNTERFEIT GODHEAD.  For Biblical proof of this statement read this website from the beginning.  The first posting is titled Bible Study God’s Way.  Key word–“Study.”  Write the key word in the section labeled “SEARCH THE SITE” located at the top of the Introduction page on the right.  The afore-mentioned series title list has the key words identified.

What I have often pointed out is the Biblical fact that the one we obey is the one we serve, and the one we serve is our master (Lord).  The Lord makes this clear in Romans 6:16 where, through Paul, he writes: “You (God’s church) know that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey.  You yield yourselves either to sin which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness.”  As one grows in righteousness (obedience to God) it evolves into holiness, the end result of which is salvation (Rom. 6:17-23).  Note that one can only serve one master–God or Satan.  There is no such thing as a “sinner saved by grace.”  One cannot serve–continue to–sin and serve God.  Contrary to universal church opinion, His grace does not cover such rebellion against Him.  This is where Satan’s shadow government comes into play.  My use of the word “shadow” warns the reader that the devil’s government does its work in spiritual darkness so that it can remain hidden from its parishioners.  The Prince of Darkness employs a two-part strategy that  ensures that God’s light (Word/Law) is never allowed to shine in that darkness.  Part A is to make those in darkness believe that what they are being told is God’s light (Word/Truth–Jn. 17:17).  Part B involves preventing those in darkness from being exposed to God’s light.  L.J.
