Sanctification–God’s Command For Spiritual Segregation (Pt. 3)

Jesus of Nazareth lived the sanctified life and was hated, beaten and martyred for doing so. The beating He endured enables His people to be healed and to live healthy physical lives. His shed blood enables them to receive forgiveness of their past sins. His death enables them to die to Satan’s temptations. His resurrection enables them to enter His Father’s kingdom and live forever with Him. His inheritance enables them to rule with Him as joint-heirs over the universe forever. And it began with His sanctification.

As the series titled Jesus of Nazareth: God, Man or God-man? brought to light, Jesus, born a man like all other men, had to learn to distinguish right from wrong and to choose the right. Having set the perfect example for God seekers throughout His earthly life, His martyrdom has given Adam and Eve’s offspring the opportunity to correct their mistakes by accepting His sin-cleansing death in their stead. Having been cleansed of their past sins, they are given the Holy Spirit that empowers them to follow in His spiritual footsteps (1 Jn. 2:6;3:3) which leads them to eternal life. Those who follow His example until the end of their lives will be saved upon His return (Mat. 10:20) and allowed to enter the Kingdom of God from whence they will rule, first the earth, then the universe forever. See God’s Very Elect–Future Caretakers of the Universe.

In order to qualify for salvation (rebirth) and to receive the benefits of being joint-heirs with the man Jesus of Nazareth we must do what our original parents failed to do–overcome Satan. Those who “walk as He walked,” He tells us in Revelation 3:21, will sit with Him on His throne in God’s kingdom. Few, He tells us in Matthew 7:13,14, will join Him there. Scripturally speaking, only kings sit on thrones, and only kings rule. For this reason Jesus calls those who join Him “kings and priests” (Rev. 5:10) who will rule with Him “for ever and ever.” The Lord warned that though many would be called to rule with Him, few would answer His call (Mat. 20:16). Though He reminds us time and again in His Word that we must obey that Word in order to be saved, very few self-professed Christians do so? Why? Because Satan has convinced them that they are already saved and therefore are not required to obey Him. Truth, the devil has convinced them, is whatever they want it to be. Each cult’s (denomination’s) doctrines are what that particular group declares the truth to be. Satan has convinced them that self-determination is God’s plan for them. He keeps them convinced of this by blinding their eyes to the Word of God. Truly, he “has deceived the whole world” (Rev. 12:9).
